12/23/2024: Localization News - Team Innocent

PC-FX Localization for Team Innocent is released, a pre-Christmas gift!! In a twist, it feels like the NEC PC-FX got more attention in 2024 than any other time I can remember! Caveat: The localizers consider the "v0.9" patch a BETA as it still faces technical hurdles to eventually subtitle the FMV scenes, but they consider it very much playable.

I own a PC Engine plus cd-rom setup & a turbo 16 cd setup.

Here's is my issue:
The PC-engine and white cd-rom works great no issues.

The black American CD-rom unit only works when installed on the PC-engine INF unit.
When i plug the black cd-rom into the TB16 it spins and never loads the game.
At first I assumed the TB16 docking station was faulty, yet when I install the White cd-rom it works without hesitation.

What would cause the black cd-rom unit to only work on the pc-engine IFU?

Inadequate power supply on the TG-16 dock?  Maybe the black drive is sucking slightly more juice than the white one.

I'm not a techy guy, so that's pretty much a WAG.  Steve/Turbokon/Keith/etc. will come along and give ya a more likely solution.

Yep Necromancer is right. The TG dock draws more voltage then the ifu.
Turbo fan since 1991 after owning my first system.

I bet that's it.  I only have the original PC engine power supply for testing.
