So long story short, I took my Duo-R apart about a month and a half ago to retrobrite it and replace the A/V port then got busy with school. Now I want to play Exile and I cannot remember how this lid is supposed to go back on the unit. I have a metal bracket, two springs and two screws. The Duo-R doesn't really "pop" open all the way like some other systems, I remember this much. But how this is supposed to go back on the system- I forget. I see where the metal bracket should go, but I forget where these springs are supposed to be. Anyone help an idiot out here?

I have a link to a picture with the parts in question in the op, unless there's something missing from that one

thesteve

there are missing parts in that pic
the lid needs its threaded pin to attach to the duo
then everything else goes under the cover and the lid switch

tigre

I have that screw.
I see exactly where the plate and the two screws pictured go, but where the two springs go is the question

thesteve

they go under the top cover
in the lid catch assy
