I have been traveling a lot for business lately so I have taken the opportunity to visit local game stores and found a nice one with a lot more than classic games to go to.

The Time Capsule seems to have a little of everything and I just wanted to show it's location and what it has for sale.  It has two locations, one in RI and one in MASS.  They basically have the same items and games for sale

It's an OK store.  A little pricey and not too big of a selection but I am always glad to see these stores still exist.

I love to check out places like this in hopes of finding a hidden gem.  Did you find anything good?  Doesn't look like they had much obey, either.

EvilEvoIX

No Obey, I got me a copy of SMK for the Super Famicom for $10.  Some Boxed NES games, and a really cool N64 Maro Kart Promo, Ill post the pics in the WHAT DID YOU GET thread.

lol you went there.  same old high priced garbage that has been there for the last 3 years it looks like.  once a year they do a half off sale that cleans the place out of anything good.

the MA store is "strategically" located next to one of the biggest flea markets in the state.  they pay people to stand in line an hour before it opens each sunday so they can get a jump on anything.  half the stuff in the MA store isnt priced until you ask about it.  they wont sell anything good unless manager is there.

What a piece of garbage of a store. They do what they got to do to survive as a novelty business, I guess.

I think all stores that carry games like this are on the retro=$$$ bandwagon, sadly.  What I think ends up happening is the stuff just sits there forever, especially if it's not a particularly universally desirable game (yearly sports titles, mediocre licensed games starring tweety bird, y'know.)  I think they all pretty much expect that they'll just bide their time and someone will waltz in and give the asking price.  I mean, I'll give you that this stuff is old and I can't just go anywhere and find it anymore.  But if you priced some if it more reasonably, you'd get more buyers instead of it just sitting there and doing nothing for you forever.  I almost never end up buying anything at these kind of stores because they are out of touch with the true market rate (what someone would actually pay you rather than unsold ebay listings) but I hope that some realization will occur before long and prices can come down again.

Regardless of the pricing, I find these stores to be incredibly fun just to walk around in and look at everything. It's nice to see a store with games that is something besides a gamestop. In my town, there used to be ten or twenty game stores when I was little, but now there's only (I think) one left.

Damnit, you could have grabbed that copy of Universal Soldier for me.

Yeah, I'm honestly surprised to see the amount of Genesis stuff, it's near impossible for me to find regularly.  My big want out of that pile would be Warsong, I wish I had picked it up long ago when I first wanted it.
