@GTV reviews the Cosmic Fantasy 1-2 Switch collection by Edia, provides examples of the poor English editing/localization work. It's much worse for CF1. Rated "D" for disappointment, finding that TurboGrafx CF2 is better & while CF1's the real draw, Edia screwed it up...

This game quietly was released digitally.  Gotta say, the graphics suck.  Would love some nice pixel art.  The music is nice & you can choose the GB original.  The game, AFAIK, is a layed out exactly like Final Fantasy Adventure/Seiken Densetsu 1.  I never did get around to playing that, but I DID play through Sword of Mana, which, despite it's flaws, I enjoyed.  So, this game seems like a step backward, but, it's still fun.  I'm sure FFA purists will enjoy it to some degree or another.....but the graphics!   ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

Yeah I was looking into getting this last week actually, but then didn't feel it was worth the price.  I never played the GB original or the GBA remake.  I tried the GBA remake, but didn't really give it a chance.  Is the GB original good?

I loved it back in the day. That was a long time ago though...

A friend of mine had it for GB. Though in Euro land there was no final fantasy branding. It was just called mystic quest. I was only about 10 and there was no internets so as far as I knew it was just a game all by itself. I remember playing it for a good while so I must have enjoyed it. Didn't hold a candle to link's awakening though. I got bored of the GBA one quite quickly. Seemed a bit too slow going.
