Just wondering what the vol numbers are on some of the hu cards?

They mean anything?

Nazi NecroPhile

It's just a number assigned to the game by the manufacturer (more than just Hudson did it).  They're presumably chronological based on when the project was started, some of which were delayed or canceled outright, so it's not exactly chronological by release date.

They indicate the volume of data in the rom, rounded to the nearest megabit.
Justin the Not-So-Cheery Black/Hack/CrackTiger helped Joshua Jackass, Andrew/Arkhan Dildovich and the DildoPhiles destroy 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged/destructive/doxxing toxic turbo troll gang which he covers up for under the "community" euphemism!

I had the full set of all hucards and I have to admit they look really really awesome on the shelf when you got all the different volumes going chronologically.
That was an uber collectard statement I just made, but fuck it it's PC Engine, I don't care I have to obey.

The thing that would get me with something like the Hudson vols is that they're missing a couple Chronological entries.  The OCD of a missing number would probably make me loose my mind.

If I recall correctly I think it was only the Hudson volumes that are missing some volume numbers. It's thought that when RPC Genjin never got released it messed up the chronology.
I wish I could go to my shelf and check all the different volumes from all the different manufacturers, but most of my collection went a few years back when I sold up. I did keep the full set of Hudson games though, but I've packed them away in storage at the moment.

Wow, I feel like we had someone, 10-15 years ago (it may have been a different forum, though) who had documented the Volumes for Hudson and other companies that copied Hudson (IREM, for example?)

I'm pretty sure it's when they were released, not when they were started.

Kato and Ken was Vol 6 and came out in 1987. Necromancer was Vol 5 and came out in 1988.

As you can see, they're roughly chronological but a bit out of order based on release dates.

Also, had the volume numbers not been assigned until release, there wouldn't be two missing volume numbers for presumably canceled titles.

I think Vol 26 is hypothesized to be Aoi Blink, I remember Tatsujin saying something about it.  Not sure if 48 was supposed to be Bonk RPG though.
