That's exactly what I thought at first but then after watching the latter part of the video it looks like there's a bit more to it.
The basic game will be free (extras with in app puchases) so I'll give it a spin when it's out.

Nintendo has been careful with its IP...hopefully they will only put out decent stuff on mobile.

I'm was too old when Pokemon came out, so I don't count that cr@p as real Nintendo.

Is there a Sonic Runner? Also this doesn't look bad. Way better than Miitomo. They should do an Animal Crossing next.

There was one called Sonic Runners released last year. Another called Sonic Dash was a Temple Runner clone.

I hear they are putting some of their top designers on their mobile projects. It seems to show, as the videos of this game make it seem fairly solid...

BUT!

As a fanatic for the 3DS, Wii U, and likely soon to be NX... I fear that mobile games will be taking talent away from the games I really care about.

I really dislike the notion of in app purchases. Who buys them? I never have. I'd prefer a few pounds upfront for a nice game.

Seem to just have bouncy and rickshaw mecanhics to reach platforms and what not. Might be fun.
