Super CD-ROM 2 eject button repair

I have a Super CD-ROM 2 eject button that doesn't seem to really work.   The door latches fine, but I have to jimmy the door to get it to let go.    Can anyone this of a way to fix this, the mechanism is plastic and it's not immediately apparent what the issue is?

Mine did that. I added a small spray off lithium grease.
Now it works a treat!
