Definitely go for the NeoGeo ports.  They are probably the best home ports and go for really cheap!  I personally love the "enhanced ACD" games like Gulliver Boy, Popful Mail, and Mahjong Sword Princess.  I like Brandish as well, but that's just because I'm a Falcom whore.  I really do like the game though.  I'd try these before you buy though.  Most of these I mentioned are quite cheap, but Popful Mail goes for usually $45, which isn't bad.  I like it better than the Sega CD verison since it plays and looks closer to the PC98 version.

Well I have a full set of all of the TG16/PC Engine ISO's so I always try before I buy. It takes around 200gb of my HDD as a matter of a fact
