Smiles on the shoutbox?

Where did the smiles go from the shoutbox?  I and others do not seem to have them anymore.

Now all everyone does in the shoutbox is    It's kinda souless and creepy to me.  Oh and you also cannot click on people anymore in the shoutbox to bring up their info page.  I used to use that feature a lot to PM people.

P.S. - Soulless and creepy are my middle names; makes it a bit awkward when signing legal docs.

Yes I have removed a few features from the Shoutbox.  I'm testing out some things with the site for the moment so probably take about a week or so for things to back to normal.
