so i used to have a copy of the snes game Super Bonk.  i picked it up at Funco during the dark years after i sold my TG16 but before i got my Duo.  i thought it sucked and sold it a year later for a few bucks.
anyway, my jaw dropped yesterday when i saw this

damn.

i was wondering what other people thought of Super Bonk and the Bonk games they made for the NES and gameboy, which i never played.
also, i've never played Bonk 3, how is it compared to Super Bonk?
I'm a cunt, always was. Topic Adjourned.

Well, to me there is nothing to compare to the Turbo Bonks. They were all, atleast in my mind, way better than what came out for the other systems. About Bonk 3, I think most people consider it to be the best of the three. I personally liked Bonk's Revenge better. I thought the level design was better for that one than 3. Bonk 3 the levels just seemed to be slapped together. For example you start on the typical level one the one with the Volcano in the background, the second section has you on a ship in the water....I don't see the connection...Of course I never made it very far into Bonk 3 (played on emulation) so maybe the level design reveals itself later on...
A dark tide will rise and she will walk again. He is coming.....

i dont think that is the normal going price for a super bonk game, his is factory sealed, but even then its not worth that much, the seller is just nutts. This is commonplace on ebay.Like the sellers who think that there was only 500 sega cdx decks released in the US.

I remember Super Bonk 2 was pretty good; I didn't really like the first one either.  I agree about Bonk's Revenge, it's by far the best one.  Bonk 3 was ok, but the growing huge and small was more annoying than fun and didn't seem like it was well thought out.

Far worse than CDX is ads for Panzer Dragoon Saga. The game had a total US and Canada print run of around 30,000 but just about every ad you see says "Only 3,000 or only 6,000 printed".

I can't believe Bonk cheated on us! But Super Bonk 2 is pretty good. Only if I recall I got to a point not too far in and had no idea what to do or where to go.

Gamecube Bonk is pretty cool too once you get used to the weird Bonk sprite.

I never played Super Bonk 2 (never owned a SF), but Super Bonk 1 isn't very good.  It reminds me a bit of Bonk III, although still not as good as that.

The Bonk remake for Cube, however, is very good, IMO.

I can't believe that anyone would pay that price for it.  I got mine, with a box, for about ten dollars about two years ago.

I  think Super Bonk 1 and 2 are better than the Turbo Bonks. Mostly, I feel this way because the SNES games looked and sounded better. Honestly, all the Bonks seem to play exactly the same. Super Bonk had a small handful of actually gameplay upgrades which seemed to help.

Super Bonk and Bonk 3 looked very close to one another, but I feel the Super Bonk was a lot more refined. The graphics were marginally better, and the music (some) was a good deal better. Super Bonk 2 has entirely new graphics and audio compared to those others. I think Super Bonk 2 was likely 100% new material, including a new game engine.

I'm not trying to say the Turbo Bonk games were bad, because that isn't the case. I just appreciate the fact the SNES versions had upgrades that were synonymous with the platform. Whether anyone likes it or not, the SNES typically had the best looking/sounding games of the day, because it had better hardware. The Bonk games reflected this (although barely).

Lol, is it really that bad? Those sequals had a huge generational gap as well. They'd have probably looked a bit better even on the Turbo Grafx just due to more R&D. Not to mention the generational gap between the PC-Engine and the SNES. If the PC-E had been made years later, it might have been as powerful as a SNES as well.
