Turbo booster testing

Hi all,
I recently purchased a TG16 with TB+ on Ebay.  The seller indicated that the item was "game tested ok", which I took to mean, quite naturally, that it played games ok.  After the system arrived, I realized what the seller really meant was, "GAME (TG16) tested ok, but I make no claims about the TB+".  The TB+ had been  opened (security screws replaced with Phillips head), one of the shields missing, the PCB broken (not just cracked) and various broken components.  After about an hour pouring over a hot soldering iron, I got the thing repaired.  I connected the system to a flat-panel TV (about 5 years old), and got some really incredible results.  Of course, I had not seen a TB+ working before, so I was unsure about what to expect, but IMHO this was good stuff!  So, on to the reason for this post...

How the heck to I check the game-save function?  Do I hit a certain key combination on the keypad to bring up some kind of save-game menu?  Do I have to pause the game and go into a sub-menu?  Should a save-game screen come up between levels?  Do all HUCards even have a save game?  If not, which ones do?

I'm very happy with the results of my work; the AV was the primary reason for the purchase, after all...but I'd like to put this puppy to bed, so if I can get some help on saving???  And as an afterthought, does the TB+ do anything else I'd need to test?

There are few HuCards that save, and even fewer US HuCards. I'm pretty sure there is no way to view save data on a TB+ without a Ten no Koe Bank (not released in the US) or some HuCard that allows you to delete saves...and I can't think of any off the top of my head. On a CD system you just hit "select" on the boot screen...but a TG-16 w/TB+ has no boot screen...

With JP games you just look for the "back-up" logo on the case, but even most of them won't allow you to delete saves.

I think someone mentioned in a thread somewhere a game that allowed you to delete saves, so hopefully someone can help you out. I'm not sure what someone is supposed to do when the back-up RAM is full! Can one use a CD System Card?

I'm sure you can use a system card. There is no reason the file manager portion of the card won't work with the Booster Plus.

Ok, thanks....if it's "not in the cards" (hey, I made a pun!), then I won't worry about it.  As I said, the AV is the main stuff.

As has been noted, a system card will let you view your save files, delete 'em, and format memory; if you want to check the size of each save file, then use either Falcon or Order of the Griffon, though memory must be nearly full for their utilities to be accessed.  If you want to be really cool and highfalutin, you can grab a flash cart and load up Mr. Covell's BRAM Tool (scroll down), which will let you do all sorts of things with your save files and is also available as an iso for those unlucky souls lacking flash carts (but having a TG-CD).

BRAM tool, yeh, I've seen that.  Downloaded it long ago, but didn't know what it was for.  And, of course, didn't have anything to really test it on.  Thanks, I'll try it.

Of course, I had not seen a TB+ working before, so I was unsure about what to expect, but IMHO this was good stuff!

It will be a global phenomenon, 20 years in the making.

It could start out as a couple of friends, then a small group of people, then a local convention, then a state-wide organization, then, maybe, become a national movement!  Speaking of movements, I have to go do one now.
