@GTV reviews the Cosmic Fantasy 1-2 Switch collection by Edia, provides examples of the poor English editing/localization work. It's much worse for CF1. Rated "D" for disappointment, finding that TurboGrafx CF2 is better & while CF1's the real draw, Edia screwed it up...

Hey guys,

I was looking at the pins of Atari Jaguar controllers and they look very similar to VGA computer monitor connectors, and I believe there is a chance that it might work as a controller extension. If anybody has a Jag, and happens to have any male to female connectors laying around, I'd really appreciate it if you could test out this hypothesis. My plan is to purchase one of these 6-foot cables at my computer parts store if it works, since the controller length is short to begin with.

Thanks,

According to a quick internet search, the Jag socket is a three row DB15, which is the same as a standard monitor's VGA connection so, yeah, it would word.

Okay.. I'm looking at the Jaguar team tap and the Vga extension cable.. and for some reason my vga extension cable is missing one pin. It still has the right layout.. but it's only got 14 pins. (do not know why). So.. when you go purchase your cable.. make shure it has 15 pins not just 14 like mine.

Okay.. just looked up the pinout on the controller... it is Pin 7 that it is missing.. which is 5V+ for the controller. SO.. therefore it would not work. You need the 15 pins.

The folks over at atariage answered my question. Apparently they do work, as long as they have the fifteenth pin as you mentioned above, rodek. I guess not all VGA cords come with 15 pins.
