Localization Legend "Supper the Subtitler" has "joined the club" in being targeted for CD-pressings by bootleg master Tobias/PCEWorks! His projects like Private Eyedol, Galaxy Fräulein Yuna 1 & 2, etc. are now being sold on Chinese factory-pressed CDROMs...

It has an HE logo on it which leads me to believe Hudson Soft Entertainment manufactured that beauty.
Games currently in play:
PS3: COD Ghosts
TG16: Boxyboy

I looked around, and I found a nearly identical Famicom pad which was apparantly made by Hori.  Unfortunately it looks like the HJ-10 is also the name for a Chinese helicopter.

That's a Hori. I've got one of those. It's actually a "mini" controller, so it's a bit smaller than your average pad.

I Agree with Grahf...it is a Hori and it is smaller than your average controller.

Japan!

According to Wataru's FAQ its a Hori Commander HJ-13, not an HJ-10.

It's also the controller that was hooked up to the PCE display in Akihabara Super Potato last time I was there. :)

I got one of them with a bunch of games and find it very uncomfortable to use. Its corners dig into my hands and give them blisters in no time.

Wow, I actually think it feels kinda nice. I like the indents on the top, because they fit my index fingers perfectly. I don's use mine often either though, since diagonals are a little too easy to hit on it.
