GUTS

^^ That's true, all those old kid's shows are totally watchable and entertaining even to adults (3-2-1 Contact, Square One, etc), while turning on OPB and attempting to watch the kid's shows they have now is fucking disgusting.  There's not a bit of real learning involved anymore, just stupid moral lessons that they should be learning from their parents.

Those shows can't even measure up in THAT regard, as Mr. Rogers TOTALLY OWNS the morals catergory.

It's harder to figure out who to blame for this, Telletubbies or Barney, but without Barney there would be no Teletubbies.

So fuck Barney.

Jossshhhhh...Legendary TurboTrollX-16: He revenge-bans PCE Developers/Ys IV Localizers from PCE Facebook groups and destroyed 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Josh and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner (extortion/blackmail!), never himself nor his deranged, destructive, toxic turbo troll gang!

A furry who hasn't seen between the lions?!?! Shock! Gasp!
you must watch it in the near future. Hopefully the PBS stations in TX carry it.
It's educational without being cloying, and the writing is clever, but sometimes punny. (but you kind of have to expect that from a show that's teaching reading.)

MotherGunner

Yeah they are relaunching a new Electric Company, I hope they dont screw that up.

I actually very VERY rarely watch PBS anymore, call me crazy but it feels like I'm too old for it. :P

And fuck all other shows that teach reading. The only reading show that matters is the only one awesome enough to be sponsored by mid-90's SEGA (although this video doesn't mention it):
I think I watched all of the episodes they had back then.

Ghost writer was huge with me and my friends back when it was new. But I don't remember any sponsorship by Sega.

In the later episodes there was a sponsored by Sega screen. It was a blue logo on a white screen, and the whole point of the little promo was to stop playing games and read. Very odd. I can't find it on YouTube, but this page even says it was in there (look at the last entry under the funding section).

I miss Mr. Rogers :( . Who didn't love that man and how could anyone possibly not love him?

I don't think I could love him if he was the Terminator.

I pronounce it "nod teevee edit". I assume the umlaut is gratuitous.
I always pronounce it "nod vite" ... where the "t" sound is like a soft "dt" sound or something.

We've discussed nodtveidt's name on here before and I remember the correct pronounciation was way off compared to what others thought  . I always pronounce it nod (as in nodding your head) - tee (yes I flat out pronoune the T) - vayed - teh.

I always pronounce it Nahd-veydt, with the "v" taking a more "f" sound, kind of like a stereotypical Russian, or a James Bond villain.  Hey, that was redundant!
