Angels egg looks absolutely beautiful. It's certainly a film that would drive many people up the wall. I love it though. It's a movie you can just sit in. Why won't Oshii do anime anymore? I know his later output is pretty hit or miss, but almost all his live action films are terrible.

I live in the middle of nowhere in Tennessee. Nearest drive to a store that sells anything older than 360/PS3 is 45 minutes away from me. This store constantly has every single product priced over Ebay BIN prices. Is this a common thing for retro stores to do? I just love driving 45 minutes to see a bunch of neckbeard kids who reek playing magic. I stop in every 1-2 months, and have for the last few years. Never once have I  found a somewhat competitive deal. The entire staff consists of a bunch of stoner college kids that smoke vape pens all day.

Anyone else have terrible experiences with their local gaming stores? If this topic already has a thread feel free to merge it.

I spent the last few years struggling with the same problem. My life was pretty chaotic at the time, so i had very little time for gaming. I finally had to scale back my collection for it to not stress me out. I started paring down my modern consoles to games that i couldn't live without. I had around 200 disc releases for my PS3 and scaled down to 30. I always felt the need to pick up modern console releases that were below 5$ even if i knew i would never play them.

Before i had so many games that the idea of starting on them would stress me out. I actually moved my collection to another room in the house so i would see them less. Now i can casually sit down with a beer and enjoy a few titles on the weekends.

My real problem with it is the fact that they are literally just slideshows. No dialogue options or any interactivity. It kinda defeats the whole point of it. How often do copies of these games come up for sale nowadays? I'd never heard of these before now.

Who was this product for? I looked up a play through if you can call it that. Pretty sure prono tapes would have been much cheaper. I would love to find out the history of these "games",  but I'm sure they were made by a fly by night company.

I've always been prone to binge buy small video game purchases when drunk. Now I stay off the phone and computer when I'm drinking.

Quote from: EvilEvoIX on 03/25/2015, 10:34 PMLoad times?  Go play King of Fighters 99 on the Neo Geo CD and come back to me.  That game had some LOAD TIMES.  5-10 seconds is a treat in comparison.
Pulstar is pretty horrible too. On my Neo CDZ it is almost impossible to play any of the late fighters. I can't even imagine the regular Neo CD.
