@GTV reviews the Cosmic Fantasy 1-2 Switch collection by Edia, provides examples of the poor English editing/localization work. It's much worse for CF1. Rated "D" for disappointment, finding that TurboGrafx CF2 is better & while CF1's the real draw, Edia screwed it up...

For some reason, during the cut-scenes of Macross 2036 the dialogue starts OK..... then skips, disappears.  Before I go around adjusting any pot settings anyone have a similar issue?  The CD game disc is clean, no visible scratches and I can't duplicate the issue using other CD games with dialogue.

No problems with other CD game music, including Macross 2036.

I'm not playing from a boot/CD copy.  Do I have a bad disk?

Well, here it is folks.  My beloved PC Engine/Turbo collection.  I built this collection over the course of 8yrs.  I've been trying to downsize my game collection within the past year as I have waaay too much stuff than time to enjoy it all.  These games should be enjoyed, not just sitting on my shelf  [-X  I've decided to post the collection here to give the community 1st grabs as I want the collection to end up in good hands and amongst us Turbo fans.  I know there is a PC Engine trading/selling forum, but I felt it was best placed here with all items in a single post.  My modded Duo-R after all plays both PC Engine & Turbo games  :D

These games are pretty much mint (from my smoke free home).  I imported most of the Japanes games from Japan.  ALL the side stickers/labels are intact on HuCard cases.  ALL games include original manuals.  ALL HuCards include plastic slip cover.  Most of the PC Engine HuCards include insert foam (f).  Some games include spine card (sc) and or maps/posters.   I'm pretty anal about my collections so you can be sure these are good bets.

I've tried to make the price list as fair as possible.  If you see something comparably cheaper, let me know.  If you want more pictures of an item, let me know.  Any general questions, let me know  :)  If you think I'm smoking crack on my price list, don't let me know  :-#  Just kidding

RULES:

  • Please post here so others know the order in which requests and for what titles have been made  (1st come, 1st serve basis).
  • No holding of items.  Keeping track of holds, payments, shipments, etc. can be tedious so I want to avoid it
  • Paypal only, prices include any paypal fees.  Shipping is not included in item total!!!  Shipping will be calculated based on your location and/or if you purchase multiple items. On average, domestic shipping for a single game item will be around $5.99 via USPS.
  • My eBay member ID: aristarchusofsamos  (I'm the member from California.  I have perfect feedback.  Most items I end up selling are video games and music gear).

I love this old school game.  So who here has beaten all 32 stages without any cheat codes?  I'm only on mission 9 but I made one dumb move lastnight that cost me to lose the mission!

Has anyone played the PC Engine version?  I think it's all in Japanese so I'm out of luck but how does it compare to other versions on other systems like the Sega CD?

Is it a good shooter?  I don't remember seeing it on anyones 'hit' list and the game can go for $180 and up.  Fine if it's rare, but at least be a good game.
#6
So why is it for mint copies of either I see the original suitace command a higher price?  The Coregrafx version appears a better deal being able to play SuperCDs without a system card.  Is the price discrepancy just collectors factor?
#7
Sorry for these recent string of questions gang, just trying to sort it all out.

1. The CD Rom & Interface.  I was thinking of picking one up for my SuperGrafx.  I know I need the RAU30 unit/adapter but I when I hook it all up will the SuperGrafx draw power from the CD Rom/Interface unit or will I be looking at two sets of AC adapters here?  I'm hoping everything is recognized as one unit.  One set of AV cables and one adapter.
#8
Is it true that with the original white PC Engine you could play both Japanese and US HuCard games?  No converter needed?
#9
Just so I understand correctly...

1.  I cannot play US CD games on the PC Engine CD rom without some sort of mod?  If so, what do I need and can it be user installed? or do I have to send the unit somewhere?  TIA.

So I have a SuperGrafx, how do I save my games that support the feature?  I'm confused by this, if I need an additional piece of equipment, or if it's built into the card, etc.

Anyone know where I can find a mint copy?
#12
I'm a big tennis fan/player, and I think one of the best old school games has to be ATP World Tour for the Genesis.  That aside, I want to know what's the best on the TG/PC engine console.

We have a choice of 4 games I think.

1. Davis Cup Tennis
2. Final Match Tennis
3. Power Tennis
4. World Court Tennis

I have World Court and Davis cup.  They're ok, but I want to know about the other two.  Anybody play'em?
#13
What is that small little switch for?  It's either in the I or II position.  Anyone know?
#14
Can you use these with the Duo?  Or do I have to get the "Duo Tap" and the "Duo 6' Extension Cable"?  I'm trying to keep the colors somewhat specific to the Duo (I know it's anal) but I don't want all these different colors/cables.
#15
Is there such a thing?  I know the library is huge but this would be really cool if there were such an archive.
#16
Do you need one to safely run the SuperGrafx in North America (110V)?  I may be picking one of these up soon with all original equip. so I want to make sure I'll be able to use it here in the U.S.

TIA
