Some of that post, near the bottom, it pertains to you Rot. Also, having to log into your forum tonight, I feel filthy. I must go and scrub myself clean. GG

Anyone feeling the need to read what was sent via PM to Rot is more then welcome to do so. Got nothing to hide regarding the matter. I never expected a reply from him.

Quote from: PCEngineHell on 02/12/2016, 07:01 PMAnd to you. There is a lot of things you could have done differently. The bullshit way in which you handled the entire thing is one of the reasons why the Neo forums has gotten such a bad rap. You banned an innocent guy who had nothing to do with the ebay transaction between me and Stella, and you did not even inform him as to why.

You got involved head first on something you knew nothing about. You came specifically to stir up drama and try to damage this forum. You used this mess as the excuse to do so. Had you really wanted to know what went down between me and Stella, you'd have sent me a pm. I don't buy or sell on your forum. I have not had anything to do with any transaction on your forum in probably 10 years or more, so banning Will solved nothing. And putting a ban on me solved nothing, because I don't even maintain a fucking presence there.

Not that you even had any right to an explanation concerning any of the above, because you don't deserve one, and I don't owe you shit concerning the matter, I would have told you regardless just to embarrass Stella for lulz. But again, you never asked. The only side you inquired anything about was on the Neo side of things. Thank god you're not an admin here, because honestly, you suck at it guy.

You want to know every detail of the transaction and its issues and supposedly doll out some real justice on your forum (lol at that idea huh?). Then actually do some real fucking research on the transaction. The guy was a shitty asshole seller.

He got the same amount of care in his feedback that he gave me when he failed to charge me what he felt was the correct amount he needed, and when he packed my games and shipped them out. I did not ask for any refund or make any demands for compensation. I simply did not care outside of leaving the negatives due to the carts arriving not as described/depicted in the pics and listing.

Read all you want.

https://www.pcengine-fx.com/forums/index.php?topic=20518.0

Oh wait, here is a better idea. Spend less time worrying about this kinda shit, traveling to multiple forums doing your supposed investigations about why negatives were left, and more time stopping your own home grown Neo scammers and asshole whiners who don't know how to handle their own shit.

Quote from: Emerald Rocker on 02/12/2016, 09:24 PMThanks, that's different from what I've been told before.  They should probably update the "combined invoice" form to prevent this.  Another thing I never understood is how when a seller sends an invoice, they can actually increase the shipping cost in there.  Some bum once tried to be sneaky and raised the amount by a dollar!
Ebay has been taking the approach that they want a lot of stuff handled between the buyer and seller anymore, and they only prefer to step in when there is a dispute opened that cant be resolved, or something that relates to a account security risk, or as you said, some kind of blatant feedback extortion.

Which actually in this case, its what the seller is trying to do to me to get his feedback removed, by some ill attempt at public humiliation. Going on multiple forums posting lies about me and lying about our transaction, sending people I know private messages, and dropping my personal info in his public post.

Its extremely hard to just go and weed through the ebay options and get something like a email address these days without having to call them directly and explain the situation, or to go on to the community forums on ebay and discuss the issue there for help (without posting personal details of the buyer or seller). If you get ahold of a Trust and Safety rep via phone you can get a lot of stuff resolved.

They are not part of the call centers in India or whatever, so it is easier to talk to them then the normal reps, but you have to specifically ask to be transferred to them, multiple times. A lot of those reps on the normal line will try to stall you from doing this, because its them having to escalate the call because they cant handle it themselves. If you need to you can also utilize their public forums. Its pretty helpful, and ebay reps do go in there from time to time if something deserves their attention.

EDIT:
Emerald, here is some extra info for you.

http://pages.ebay.com/sellerinformation/news/sellerstandards.html

QuoteShipping and Related Charges—Sellers will continue to be required to charge only reasonable shipping and handling fees.
http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/selling-practices.html#other

QuoteYou should also make every effort to provide excellent customer service from start to finish, including:
Charging reasonable shipping and handling costs
Making sure the item is delivered to the buyer as described in your listing
QuoteGuidelines

Be sure to follow the guidelines in this policy. If you don't, your listings may be removed and you may be subject to a range of other actions, including restrictions of your buying and selling privileges and suspension of your account. Keep in mind that you could also lose your PowerSeller or Top Rated Seller status.
QuoteItem description
The listing page is where buyers get most of their information about an item. Information in the listing helps buyers decide what to buy and know what to expect when they receive an item. It's important to make sure that the listing is only used to describe the item for sale and to communicate the terms of the sale in a professional way.
You're required to:

Specify the condition of the item

Describe any defects or flaws in the item—this helps avoid problems or buyer dissatisfaction.

Note: When selling a used, refurbished, or flawed item, you must include photos of the actual item for sale instead of a stock photo.
QuoteTerms and conditions
It's important that you clearly specify the terms and conditions of the sale in your listing so that buyers know what to expect.

What to do

You're required to include the following details in your listing:

    Forms of payment you accept

    Return policy

    Restocking fee, if applicable

Shipping method, costs, and other information
QuoteShipping and handling costs
Be sure to specify shipping costs and related service charges in your listings.

What you can charge

Actual shipping cost: This is the amount for shipping the item. It should be what you paid the carrier.

Handling cost: This can include the cost of packaging materials and insurance cost, if any.

If your shipping and handling costs are higher than average, consider explaining in your listing what the shipping and handling costs include.
QuoteCategories with maximum shipping costs

We set maximum shipping costs in some categories. You can only charge more than the maximum shipping cost if you use calculated shipping and enter an item's actual size and weight with the packing materials.

When using calculated shipping, make sure the calculated cost isn't higher than the actual shipping cost. If so, it's considered excessive shipping, which isn't allowed on eBay.

Thing is though, like I said, the second shipping price he gave was fair. Also, I should note, he did not try to charge me $12 on the invoice. It was $8.62, which initially was not fair, as the shipping method listed was standard shipping, which is what First Class Mail and Media Mail fall under. $8.62 for either of those methods is excessive.

Pretty sure I mentioned this amount prior, but if not, I apologize. My focus has been more on the fact the stuff arrived not as described since the guy did change the invoice. I think the whole $12 thing came because in my reply back to him I accidentally said that was what he tried to charge me on his initial invoice. When I was doing the reply back to him on Sega 16 I was going through old messages and invoices and misread something. I have had multiple tabs open today bouncing back and forth between different things. So to be clear, the guy DID NOT TRY TO CHARGE ME $12. HE TRIED TO CHARGE ME $8.62 before adjusting the invoice.

My apologies for the confusion on that in the latest post. My caffine has been wearing off since the evening, so my focus is waning between reading all this shit today and all the typing. But I do need to stress that yes per above I did talk to the ebay Trust and Safety agent about the maximum shipping caps of $4 per game, which the agent confirmed sellers were not allowed to abuse on multiple purchases.

Regardless, the feedback he got was not due to the price he gave. The feedback he got was due to the items arriving in bad shape, not as described, and that the reason they arrived this way, damaged, was possibly due to the guy not liking that I asked for a fair combined shipping rate. That is basically what I stated. I never mentioned anything in his FB about ripping me off on shipping.

Sparky, nuthin but hugs! :)

Also, side note, I spoke with my friend Will again for a long bit. I think we found the cause of Stellas confusion regarding him, so I dropped Stella a PM to confirm what we thought. Per Will's request,  he gave me his Monolith log in info so I could jump on the Neo forums and confirm what he suspected just to be sure. Per what I saw, I am betting Will is right. God having to do that makes me feel filthy. The things I do for friends to give them peace of mind...

But anyway, copy paste of what was sent to Stella regarding this:

Quote from: PCEngineHellBTW, I talked to Will some more this evening over the phone. He mentioned he thinks he knows why you confused him for me. You mentioned he posted pics of mine, so he went though looking at his prior post during his late lunch. He found the one where he posted about having issues doing a region mod on a Model 2 Genesis. I indeed took those pics, gave him the links, and asked him to post them around on the Neo forums since at the time the best hardware techs were there. I advised him though to try to see if anyone had clearer pics then my own also. My camera back then was a pretty shitty 1.3mp or whatever. He told me to tell you to go back and read. He never claimed those pics were actually his own at any given point, so if this is the reason by your confusion, you should have read his post better.

But yeah, to add context to the above, I was pretty sure I knew what needed to be done on that mod, well, like 98 percent sure at the time, but I wanted him to double check with others on that forum before we tried it. I actually advised him to not mention me by name when he did that thread, because I had a ongoing issue with a member of that forum at one point there by the name of D-Lite, and one of the admins also, Wasabi maybe???, and did not want him to risk getting in trouble with them.

At the time we met Will lived in the next city over, in Sherwood, Ark. I lived in Jacksonville at the time, about 25 mins away. I had him over to my home and we did a trial run on two or three of my spare decks, and it worked. We then put his under the knife and we modded his deck, had success, and I took pics and gave him the links to share because I felt people should have access to the info, in spite of the fact of me not liking that forum. I ended up giving him one of my decks we modded so he could have a spare also.

Will gave me full credit for the mod in spite of me advising him to not mention me specifically on the Neo forums. Given how vile the Neo forums can be, he was a brave soul for doing that. You pretty much proved that by trying to say he was me, getting him banned before he could even reply back to you or defend himself to Rot. Thats pretty much what happens there on your forums, a trial and execution without a proper investigation (something even our own forum has at times done, just not as much as yours has).

You guys tend to forget that the rest of us normal people have lives, kids, family, work, etc, and don't sit there hanging out on multiple forums days on end with some psychic intuition telling us we need to be ready to defend ourselves against some ridiculous and totally random which hunt. Us normal people can go days, or weeks, or months, without posting or lurking unless we need something or are just bored. Thats why you don't see me here on Sega 16. I did this forum a solid by helping them obtain a service manual, then I moved on to other things I had more interest in.

But yeah I recall helping with that, brings back a lot of memories, because I had to dig though a lot of my Model 2 decks to find the right revision he needed, the kinda sorta Majesco like Model 2 revision with the better Sony chip. He was trying to find info on how to do the mod and discussed it with me while we were shooting the shit about Neo and Jamma deals on craigslist and ebay back and forth online. This was pretty much when we had originally met. This brings back a lot of memories, because that region mod for that revision of the model 2 was kind of important. Granted, it wasn't for you, you were not there, but from a tech perspective, it was a big deal.

But anyway, again, you should have asked Will before jumping to conclusions or messaging him assuming his account was mine. If Rot ever gets around to reading this, since I plan to copy paste it on the thread, now you know why to not to jump to conclusions. And also, your welcome (for us giving your forum the last Model 2 revision region mod). I wonder how many of your members used said info to make a quick buck?
At this point, not that I think Will gives a flying fuck, but I think Stella and Rot both owe him an apology. Will they give him one? No. Not a chance in hell. Will is ready to wash his hands of the situation. I dont blame him, because he has no real ties to either of these forums, and only got dragged into this mess because of some dumb ass jumping to conclusions. This is exactly why guys like him don't actively post anywhere. Too much forum drama. Per Wills advice, I am taking a break from this for a bit myself.

I have said all I care to say on the matter for the moment. Stella stated to me on Sega 16 they are trying to join the forums here. That would be a great chance for them to explain here why the went out of their way to not contact me directly, by only dropping messages and post on forums I am either not actually on, or do not frequent often, and to ruin my friends forum standing over their personal vendetta.

They can explain why they opted to do this as opposed to just messaging me via ebay, like what most normal ebay sellers would do. Because to me, the entire situation they created basically reads off that they feigned an attempt to contact me so they could make it look like they made an effort at doing so before going to cry on the Neo forums, to imply that I was ignoring them on purpose or whatever.

Also, they can explain why their DSR ratings are lower then normal across the board, because my feedback left did not do that to their DSR.

Quote from: Emerald Rocker on 02/12/2016, 08:57 PMWhen sellers use "fixed price" shipping, Ebay allows shipping prices to be higher than the actual shipping cost.  Sellers are not required to reduce shipping as long as each item's individual charge is under the maximum shipping price.  It might seem morally wrong to charge 12 bucks for three carts won in separate auctions, but it's not a violation of policy.  (To avoid trouble, the safest approach for a seller who wants to ream the buyer is to send the carts in three separate bubble mailers, each at a $1.50 actual cost, while collecting $12 in shipping fees.  That's totally allowed.)

A bit of advice... Ebay does have a feedback extortion policy.  Your message that talked about how "people" have left negative feedback for sellers when they failed to lower their shipping price was not technically extortion in my opinion (since you didn't say that *you* would leave negative feedback), but it skirted very close to that line.  If the seller opened a case against you, the outcome would depend on the mood of whoever was reviewing it that day.  You will want to be careful in the future, otherwise your account might have its buying privileges revoked.
I already contacted ebay Trust and Safety concerning this entire matter this evening. Been on the phone with them while chatting with Bernie on FB. I opted to do so since the guy was dropping my personal info in relation to the purchase on the Neo forums, and his comments to me on sega16 about contacting other ebay members, etc. They reviewed the messages I sent to him when I won the items, as just to be on the safe side I asked them to do so, and the agent found them to be fine, taking it as what I intended it to be, educating the seller about their polices since the seller seemed to be new.

They gave me an email so I can send them links to the rant the guy started on the Neo forums, and so I could submit screen shots of where he was dropping my personal name in his post. The agent thanked me for taking the time to deal with this kind of mess and encouraged me to join in on discussion regarding this kind of crap on their community boards because they are still having a hard time getting the point across to sellers about the new shipping policies and DSR standards, and what is now allowed, and what is not.

The Trust and Safety agent confirmed what I said, that they can not charge $12 like what they originally intended to do to ship 3 items at once like that and pocket the extra. They have internal guidelines for what they consider reasonable shipping cost. On an individual purchase yes, $4 is ok, as a maximum for shipping an individual item.

On multiple purchases, they do not consider $4 per game as being ok, and want to encourage buyers to voice their issue with this if there is a problem, especially if the seller is not clear about their shipping policy in the auction details. The agent encouraged me to scan the ship label when it arrives and forward it to them for review if I have something like this happen in the future and the seller refuses to be honest about the shipping cost (I already had this info, but it is nice to know they are actively encouraging this to be done).

Quote from: Bernie on 02/12/2016, 08:05 PMHonestly, the asshat deserved the negs on ebay.  If I buy a game listed as working 100%, and have to do all that shit to it so it will play??  Fuck that.  Its wrong and everyone knows it.  That, on top of the whole shipping BS, yeah.. I wouldve left negatives too.

Even though it was listed as Condition:   Acceptable
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Street-Smart-Sega-Mega-Drive-MD-Genesis-JP-Japan-Tested-US-Seller-/172031045673
"Acceptable" doesn't give you a free pass to have the games not work as described in the auction details, or arrive in a condition other then what was shown in the pics.

Quote from: PCEngineHell on 02/12/2016, 02:41 PMIt aint on you man, though I'd probably have appreciated a PM just saying "Hey man, this is what all that shit is about", and giving me a link since you did know.
I didn't PM you because I honestly thought that your Stellarola thread and your attacks on Rot in this thread were a direct result of your already seeing the thread on NG.com.
The attack on Rot is because he was here to troll. Every post he was making was making that more and more obvious. He wasnt posting in any other section. This forum has already had its fair share of Nintegas, Regalsins, and other useless fucks. No need to add to the list.

Why he was trolling was unknown at the time to me, and again, would have been nice if someone who actually knew would have dropped a pm or posted about it. This is the kind of shit that happens when you guys sit there and dont speak up. If I was on some other forum and I saw this kind of stuff happening to one of you guys, I'd have spoken up myself. If I saw one of you being trashed on another forum, I'd have given most of you the benefit of doubt, probably posted a small word in your defense, which I do tend to do when something happens, and gave you a heads up so you could explain yourself.

If I knew his reason to be here was me, because he was acting as the lapdog of Stella, I'd have confronted him about it specifically head on in this thread from the start. When have I ever been known to run from my problems here? Whats done is done however, but as is, seeing how easy or quick some of you are to throw me under the fucking bus on another forum without so much as a damn courtesy pm, I think I am going to cut down much of my forum activity here to pms with guys like Sparky and Mothergunner and a few others I know I can count on/trust for the time being.

Nah lol!

Guy messaged me back on Sega 16. He refused to do so via ebay I guess. I ripped apart his reply piece by piece. 50,000 word screed powers activated.

Lets shut that idea down right now:

IMG

That is the email my friend Will sent me to post on PCEFX so they would know he and I are not the same guy, since Jibba posted something you said in regards to Will's account being mine, and I informed him about it. I give people I know direct links to copy paste on forums all the time when sharing shit. I also give direct access to my photobucket and other non-important shit to people I know personally like Quoth09/Eric Neal, and Will, the guy you fucked over on the Neo forums with your cry baby bullshit. I have nothing to hide from them, and it is not some precious resource or family heirloom. Its a fucking file share page in the form of hosting pics, of which the entire point of is to share its content, not keep it locked away privately forever.

And just to feed that paranoia a bit more about my vast and far reaching buyer influence reaching all ends of the universe, I list and buy stuff for other people on ebay and on forums too as a proxy. I did it here on Sega 16 so they could get the tech manual. I did it years prior on the Neo forums when I was a member. I have had friends on there and elsewhere buy shit for me years back when they spotted something they thought Id want, and I have done the same for them. Its called, doing things for friends. Its an amazing thing.

So if I really wanted to bury you in a quagmire of shit, I'd just have friends keep an eye out for your sale threads on any given forum, and place high dollar orders, then trash your paypal account with buyer disputes 5 months later when you least expect it. But I'm not that kinda guy....or am I? Baaa haa haa haaa haaa!

Since you seem to favor milking a victim complex, this is the best time to do it as any, because if I really wanted you to be a victim, I'd make you one if I was that kinda guy. :P

Be thankful I am not. I cant vouch for Will though. You made a life long enemy there, so I guess you better be on a look out for all those villainy wily Will guys. One of them may be my friend.

Rot banning Will from the Neo forums over your bullshit has been resolved. Its kinda funny, because we actually thought the ban was from something else until I looked into this more today. Will will make another account if he needs to purchase something from a member. Will isn't going to stress over it because he has no ties to that forum, just interest in the shooters on the system. Will would have privately and gladly gave Rot his full name, mailing address, email, etc, prior, though, as a courtesy, had Rot went about it the right way originally, in a effort to shut your dumb ass down for tossing out false accusations. But this was only if Rot had actually taken the time to ask before buying into your bullshit. But Rot is probably like one of the worst moderators ever I am told, so him actually doing fact checking would be a fucking shock. What I have seen of him now, I'm not impressed.[/B]

Quote from: stellarola-Don't bid on something and then start trying to adjust how it's sold. Just don't fucking bid on the item! It's not her responsibility to adjust pricing and shipping method AFTER you bid on the item. Go read ebay policy again, pls. You were passive aggressive in your tactics. She was fucked from the get go when you won the bids. You are a problem buyer.
I never specified or dictated a shipping amount. You did on your own back to me, using your wifes ebay account to drop me pms. Lets drop the bs here and now. You used her account to sell shit and send messages, and you thought you were going to bypass ebay seller fees by pocketing money from shipping charges. The only reason you had a conniption is because your wife saw you destroyed her account.  The only reason she was fucked was because she was stupid enough to hand the keys over to you in the first place.

Before I even left my feedback, your DSR was dropping. The only DSR I gave you anything other then 5 stars on was the item description, which I gave you 2 stars on. Everything else DSR wise has nothing to do with me. You did that shit to yourself.
Quote from: PCEngineHellConcerning shipping cost, I'm not a noob, and I shut that shit down fast. If you honestly had any concern about packing, you could have charged more then $4 and informed me as to why, if you felt like doing so. $4-$5.50 is in the perfectly reasonable range of shipping cost for the games I got from you via First Class Mail. The choice to charge the lowest amount in that margin was your choice. The $12 you tried to charge on the initial invoice that you, not ebay, had sent, was not reasonable, so tough shit guy.

At any given moment between then and now you could have messaged me via ebay. You dragged this onto a forum I am not even a member of, thus affecting my friends membership, and you stalked me over to here on Sega 16, where I have not even posted since helping people here get that one service tech manual. Basically you went out of your way to NOT contact me, because if you really wanted to reach me, you could have done so on ebay instantly, or joined PCEFX where I actually post at daily and dropped me a pm. Instead you chose to go to places that I am not a member of, or to go to places I hardly post at, mainly to drum up drama and try to get a one sided lynch mob going and make it appear as if you made some legit effort to contact me. Not the brightest one in the bunch, are you?

Quote from: stellarola-Items were listed as acceptable condition and due to age were being sold with no returns. Games were shown working and full shots of the front and back of carts.
And yet when they arrived Street Smart was physically damaged, as in a crack in the back if the shell. All the carts were more scratched up in person then what was depicted in the pics. The labels were peeling on all of them, though that was one of the things I did not actually hold against you, cause I see this happen a lot on MD carts. But honestly, I had to go back and look, because what arrived did not look like what was listed. Regardless of acceptable, you are still responsible of making sure the items arrive in the condition they were listed in, physically, and functionally. Neither of which happened.

I had to repair the Street Smart cart with JB Weld, and sand all the cart pins and polish them to get the carts working. I dont know how much spit you happened to blow into them to get a connection at the time you took pics showing them working, but the connector pins were oxidized bad. Had these been more expensive carts, I would have did a dispute. Since they were not, and since it was obvious you were just a shitty seller, I just left you negatives and a neutral and moved on with my life.

Quote from: stellarola-I've seen your photobucket account and you're fucking obsessed with shipping prices...OBSESSED.
And I've seen your rants. E-stalk much? You're fucking obsessed with me and the hurt feelings and lost sleep I caused you...OBSESSED. View my photobucket till your hearts content. Its kinda gay of you, but meh, whatever.

Quote from: stellarola-Other ebay sellers were contacted prior to contacting you on forums and they all said you were unwilling to reply or change feedback. They all had a lot of terrible things to say about you. Some of them sent multiple messages about your bullshit. You wreck accounts thinking you're doing justice. You're not. You try to shake people down to bend to your will.
Sure guy. You know, out of over 200 transactions over the past year on purchases, I have only had 7 problem sellers. 3 were just plain non-shippers, which is a auto negative. The other 4 were sellers for items not as described. You are one of those 4. This is barely over 1 percent of my total transactions, so you feel free to contact as many sellers as you like. The 923 positive feedback I received from sellers, along with the 450 something positives I received from buyers overshadows any bullshit you can or make up,, let alone conjure up, from contacting other shitty sellers.
Quote from: PCEngineHell
Quote from: stellarola-Your expectations are unrealistic. $18 in games and you shot up her account with 3 non positives. That's just fucked, Michael. Your view is skewed and I don't expect you to change. I hope this has been a lesson for you as a ebay shipping justice warrior.
No, yours were the moment you thought you'd log in and pretend to be your wife and sell your shit under the assumption you'd do jacked up shipping cost on bidders after they won. You trashed your wife's account. I lost nothing on this outside of time from having to fix the games I got off you. You could have easily prevented them from getting damaged had you simply put them back to back and taped them together so they would not bang into each other or something. If a few bits of tape and a piece of paper to wrap around the games cost so damn much for you, then I would have gladly forked over the extra 10 cents so I wouldn't have to stress over you having to go to the soup kitchen or hear about your bitching today on the Neo forums.

The only lesson I learned here today was that when I thought I had seen all there is to see as far as some clown having the ability be a whiny little bitch on a gaming forum, you managed to surpass all expectations and show me there is always something new in store on the net to laugh over.

Quote from: PunkCryborg on 02/12/2016, 03:05 PMEbay says you should try to resolve an issue before leaving negative feedback.....
Yep, they suggest it, and in this case, one of the few, I failed to try before leaving FB, due to lack of motivation, not caring about a refund, and given all the facts and seeing their DSR count was lowering prior to me leaving FB, felt is was the best thing to do since others were down rating their DSR also..

Oops, my bad I guess.  To be honest, I don't think the seller could have done anything that would have made me leave anything but a negative. I'm sorry Punk, but 100 percent means 100 percent, It doesn't mean 99, 98, 76, 54, 20, etc. When I go to put all 3 carts in, and none fire up after multiple tries, and I have to pop the carts open to get them to work, we got issues. When carts are tossed into a mailer and arrive in worse condition then pictured, due to carelessness, yet another issue.

I simply don't care at this point about the transaction, and stopped caring when I left the feedback. You never saw me jump on here and post about this shit when it happened, did you? Probably because in the scheme of things, it was the least interesting thing to happen that week and not worth posting about. Contrary to popular belief, I dont base all my forum activity here on just complaining about ebay sellers.

Stella may have cared a lot, enough to e-stalk and whine on the Neo forums, and still cares, but I don't. I wont be sending people over to the Neo forums to harass him, or signing up and logging in myself, and after seeing just how much of a little bitch the guy is, I wont be removing the feedback ever now, regardless of what he has to say.

I feel not one bit sorry for the asshole that couldn't bother to tape 3 carts together before dropping them in a mailer. He gave no fucks when packing, so I gave no fucks in return. I don't even believe his story about telling his wife "oh we need to use a box blah blah blah". They had all the chances in the world to charge more if needed, and to pm me their concerns if there was any. The invoice and shipping aspect and packing job was all in his hands. He had total control over that situation. To be honest, I don't think his wife has anything to do with any of this at all. I think he is just some loser using her account to do his shit, he fucked up her account, and she got pissed. This happens all too often on ebay.

And like I said, they could have messaged me, on actual fucking ebay, and asked why they got the negs the day they got them, and what could be done about a feedback revision. Maybe if they caught me in a good mood that week, I might have worked with them if I got a sense or remorse over the way they packed the stuff. But I saw their follow ups tossing all the blame on me, instead of them actually contacting me directly. All that was said has been said there, and it told me everything else I needed to know. I could have left them follow up feedback if I felt like it, but I let it go.

All the time wasting he did on multiple forums resolved nothing. Since this shit has ZERO to do with Rot other then that he injected himself into it for drama sake, and it having everything to do with Stella and his wife Aquadong69, how about we take it back over to the thread that actually concerns the seller if people want to discuss it still:

If that's what you want to think then there's nothing I can really do about it, but that's not at all why I did it.  Both the thread on NG and the thread here were one-sided.  As is usually the case, I figured that the truth was probably somewhere in the middle.  I copied over Stella's post, and you responded directly to what he said by posting up the messages from eBay.  As I already stated, I think it clearly shows that you did nothing wrong, so issue over.
Thats why I said "unintended". The only intended shit came from Opethian, Synbiosfan, and Punkic. It aint on you man, though I'd probably have appreciated a PM just saying "Hey man, this is what all that shit is about", and giving me a link since you did know. I don't fuck around on the Neo forums, and contrary to popular belief, I don't google my PCEFX ID or my real name daily, so I was pretty oblivious as to what was going on here. And Will only lurks once in a blue moon, so same for him. Poor guy didn't even know why he was banned (which was really stupid on Rots part).

Rot, this has nothing to do with you, at all, and you wont find many willing to take your side on this. I have already posted the ebay messages back and forth between me and Stella'a bitch. Stella is supposedly is a grown adult. I suggest he act like one and stop hiding behind his wife on ebay and handle his own fucking business. He can message me on ebay any time. I already dropped him a message on there and he did not reply back, so fuck him, and his cunt wife. If it wasnt for the fact that her seller account is so trashed as it is with its low DSR, I'd just report her over to Trust and Safety over this shit. As is, she isn't even worth the time. Her days of selling, or rather, Stella's days of using her account to sell shit are done.

And Rot, you are an idiot if you think I will humor this any further with more replies back to you on a transaction that had ZERO to do with you. We have an ignore feature. You are going on it. You are some guy on a has been forum I have nothing to do with, making false accusations concerning this issue, and acting like you are trying to wage war on some supposed scammer in some kind of cross forum war.

For one, no scam took place, and two, you got more then enough actual scammers to deal with on your own home turf, because you all have been doing a piss poor job of watching the gates. Fake Aerofighters 3 much? Just how stupid are all of you that you thought those things would be anything but fake? LOL @ you fucking morons.

Nothing you do Rot, nothing at all, is going to affect anything here in any sort of level. Stay here and play all you want. You will be playing with yourself unless others here want to humor you. As for the Neo, and its legacy. I feel sorry for it. Its got to depend on your forum to represent it, and you let it down. Your forum has become so irrelevant that this is the kinda shit you guys have to do to try to remind people you are still around. You guys are trying way way too hard to get attention. Its pathetic.

I agree. Also Ope, during your link dropping and Stella, you and Punks whining, you failed to mention that in over 200 prior purchases in the past year, good ole PCEngineHell only had to leave seven  sellers negatives. Of those seven, three were non-delivery, as in, they never shipped after being paid, so that is an automatic negative.

The other four negative sellers, they were left due to items not as described. We are talking about a very small fraction of purchases compared to the over all amount I buy. I guess you couldn't be bothered with things like fact checking or actual math. We are talking about 1.74% percent here that arrived not as described.

You guys want to accuse or insinuate someone of fraud or shady shit, do some actual fucking fact checking. I buy a fuck ton more then you on ebay evidently. More you buy on ebay, so the more likely something will eventually happen. If I was going to pull a con, I'd do it as a seller, not a fucking buyer. More fucking money in it that way idiots.

But oh hey look at that, 100 percent positive seller account, no negatives. I guess I was never cut out for being a scammer of a seller either. I was too busy delivering items as advertised, and on time. Dammit, honesty got in the way of my possible vast fortunes I could have had. Guess you all forgot to point that out in your little bitch fest over there on NeoDrama Island.

Not really like him to do that). Seriously, you'd not even be hearing about this shit right now if not for Stella, Rot, Ope, Punknic, and Synbios. If Stella had manned up and handled his shit on ebay to begin with instead of crying on the Neo forums, this would have been a non-event. Seriously, I had left my feedback and moved on. Evidently though there are quite a few harboring some secret hate there. I guess all I need now is for Tool to show up at my door and toss a jar of acid my way and it will be GG.

Also wtf are you clowns doing over there dropping Deans name on something that has absolutely nothing to do with him. Seriously?

EDIT: God damn its hard to type this shit on touch screen while trying to cook lunch.

I guess since its FS double posting is gonna just have to happen here. Anyway, I guess I now know why Rot was here, and I informed Will why he was banned just now, since basically it was due to some knobs poor detective work, and not because of the Tobias thread. Will said for *cockRot* to go suck a giant fat dick, and that if he cares to he will just make another account again down the road if he needs to message anyone for any sales.

Rot did not do the courtesy of even messaging Will in advance to just ask him who he was or anything, or even drop him a notice of why he was banned. Really fucking sloppy moderation there Rot. You did nothing that was even remotely effective, other then ban a guy under the presumption he was me, or under the knowledge that he was a friend, if you had actually bothered to do your research enough to even figure that out.

Either way that was moronic. Will can just re-sign up and go about his own business again if he wishes, and if he wants to buy from people there, he can. No one knows his full name, mailing address, ebay id, klov id, where he works, etc. You had no reason to ban him from the marketplace anyway. As for me, ban me from your marketplace all you want. I don't even fucking post on the Neo forums, so jokes on you, you dumb sack of shit.

Anyway.......I google "professorprofessorson neo-geo.com" and it takes me where I need to go to see wtf all this is about:

/neogeo%20drama_zps3qjgx5u9.png

So basically, after I did not reply to him on Sega 16, he does a nice posting crying and admits to trying to e-stalking me about different forums. At no point during all this did he ever once try to get a hold of me on actual fucking ebay mind you. In response to his poor e-detective abilities, people start jumping on the bandwagon of hate basically falsely accusing Will of wtf ever nonsense they kept babbling on about, thinking he is me.

Someone name drops D-lite while they are at it in some post down the road. During all this Opethian, Synbiosfan, and PunkCryborg jump in to add more coal to the Rot steam-engine. So basically, we can thank Opethian, Synbiosfan, and Punkic for dragging the Neo drama over here. You three clowns do me a favor, drop your ebay ids on here, and I will ensure we never mistakenly have any dealings what so ever, so you wont have to loose any sleep over anything.

Rot and crew, as is, you just proved my point about much of what is wrong with the Neo forums, and why its relevance is slipping and why no one gives a flying fuck about your scene anymore other then you yourselves. You clowns spend too much time hating on other better forums about better systems that people care more about. The hate I see you guys spew towards Sega-16 is totally laughable. You guys are living in the past, and your egos have not caught up with the times at all.

The same kinda hate you spew towards this forum, even more laughable. You idiots say this forum is slow and has nothing going on. Fan translation work, new releases, new mods/tech, and lots of nice content is posted often here concerning gameplay discussion. The membership is healthy. Things are good here right now.

Opethian, Synbiosfan, and Punkic, I basically consider you traitors to this forum. You fed drama with the intent of bringing it to the PCEFX forum. You hate me so fucking much, fine, go nurse those hurt feelings to your therapist. Go cry to your moms or something. But what you don't do is let your fucking personal vendettas get so out of control that the first chance you get that you think you got a shot of somehow taking me down, that you fuel some multi-forum blow out. Really fucking weak of you there guys. Some of the poorest representation of the PCEFX forums I have ever seen coming from you three. You dumb asses would basically cut off the nose to spite the face.

REALLY.FUCKING.WEAK.

Seriously.

PS, to you specifically Opethian. That Sol Feace purchase you linked to. Had you actually bothered to look, instead of just thread and link dropping to add fuel to the fire, you'd have seen I never left that seller any negative feedback. Totally different seller, totally unrelated. That seller when contacted told me flat out that game was sold listed in the wrong condition. His wife mislisted  it, according to him. We did a no hassle return. He knew it was in bad condition and it was supposed to be listed as such. I cut the guy some slack on the off chance he was telling the truth.

But again, seriously, wtf is up with all these dudes using their wifes ebay accounts to sell games?

Basically they were trying to base their shipping cost around what they wanted to actually make on each game to skirt the fees.
I'm not getting involved in which party is right or wrong. Well it was definitely wrong for the seller to contact you outside eBay through a forum, but anyways..

Just to let you know as it seems you don't know that eBay charges the seller fees on shipping now aswell. As a seller you now pay a fee on overall shipping cost which is exactly the same as the fee for the sold item, so effectively the higher you charge for shipping the higher your seller fees will be.

Edit: as I was typing this answer Necromancer has replied saying the same thing.  8)
Actually, I know this, but many new sellers dont. What I also know, that many seasoned sellers know, is that shipping in ebay is now discounted when purchased through them and paypal, if you have a account in good standing. That discount basically nullifies the shipping fees.

Quote from: CGQuarterly on 02/12/2016, 02:34 AMProf, based on your reaction in this thread and your Stellarolla thread, I think you knew exactly why Rot was here and who he was checking up on.
Actually, no. Personally, I think Rot is just stupid and was trolling for trollings sake. Two, if Rot is running around trying to check up on who left what feedback, and why, then the guy has no fucking life and too much time on his hands. It wasn't a scammer related issue, and I don't post, nor buy or sale, on the Neo forums, and nothing I do ebay transaction wise has anything to do with my friends.

So if someone has a ebay problem with me, they need to contact me directly on fucking ebay, not send lap dogs around to other forums, or message my friends or drop me pm's on forums I am hardly ever on like Sega 16. I left no demands of refunds, or tried to keep said items while making said demands either concerning AquamanStellawtfevah. If this idiot got Rot involved, then he is just simply going around wasting multiple peoples time.

And also, for the record, when I have to do a dispute on ebay, I insist on the item being returned to the seller. They have to cover shipping cost for items not as described, so I mean, that is not an issue for me, money I mean as far as return shipping goes if I want a refund. If the seller insist on not wanting the item back because they would have to cover return shipping, I save the pm's from the seller and I destroy said item, take a pic to show its destroyed on the off chance someone down the line says I tried to keep some item, and move on with my life.

This rarely has to happen compared to how often and how much I purchase. But hey, need an example?

/FatLeeAdama/shoegazzer_zpsaslghbkc.png

Forgotten Worlds PCE. Disc had top scratch damage and was failing quality checks on my Pioneer drive due to that. Seller said to keep it, so I destroyed it, saved the proof, and moved on. The seller was cool about the whole thing. We both new in advance there might be an issue with the quality of the disc, as we discussed it via pm prior to the purchase and he agreed to a refund in advance of the purchase because he listed the disc as loose and with scratches, and he knew it had top scratch damage. I got Magicoal off them also, and that one was in awesome condition.

If money was such an issue for me, I'd have sent Aquadong her husbands fucking games back and got a refund for everything, since none of it arrived as described. As is though, my time is too valuable to waste it on cunts like this over a return process that I figured they would have fought anyway, wasting even more of my time since ebay would require me to keep responding.

Every time I have to go run off some return label, reseal some poorly packed parcel, get up off my chair and walk down my hall way to my front door, go down stairs, insert the key into my mailbox, turn said key to unlock said box, insert said parcel, close said box, and place a sticky notice for the mail man so he knows to pick said parcel up is time I could be spending on here fucking around with you guys, so thanks, but no thanks. :P

I edited my above post because there was a lot of info that needed to be added. I hope it helps to clarify things. Also, why does it not surprise me that DK is posting in a thread of mine?
#15
NOTE: I am editing this post because I needed to add more info after getting a email back from my friend concerning this.

Quote from: CGQuarterly on 02/12/2016, 02:19 AMSince he's not in here to tell his side of the story, here's what Stellarolla said about this transaction over on the Neo forums:

QuoteMy wife wanted to make some extra cash and to get started selling on eBay. I gave her my lot of loose Mega Drive games to sell. These games all came from Japan when I bought my Mega Drive about two months ago. I'd guess around 20-30 titles.

She lists them and most sell on average about $5-$7 a piece. I made sure she took photos of the front, back, and the game working in the Mega Drive. I also made sure that she put the condition as "acceptable" and to put that due to the age, these are being sold as-is, no returns.

This one buyer ('Monolith' on the forum) immediately after winning the bid begins to tell her how he has already weighed out his own Mega Drive games in a bubble mailer and how much the shipping should cost. He also starts "mansplaining" to her how ebay "works" and if you don't do it his way you could get negative feedback from other ebayers.

Anyway, I tell her we shouldn't ship it in a bubble mailer since there are more than two games. Per his insistent request we ship his games in a bubble mailer. He receives them and writes two negatives saying the games were not in good condition and took a lot of cleaning. Another feedback was that he said she was "irked" when he asked to combine shipping.

The only thing we said in response was for him to ask prior to bidding next time for combine shipping. His "bubble mailer" price didn't include a box, or insurance, etc. Also, he said he received a game that was cracked on the back.

His feedback says we didn't pack it well. DUDE?! You asked for it to be mailed the absolute cheapest way, you fucking bastard. Also, you gonna give her practically 3 negs for less than $20 in games??

He goes by professorprofessorson on eBay. Checking his left feedback for other users, he does this a lot.

These games were obviously used and in acceptable condition. He has a Mcdonalds budget, but expects filet mignon. I think he abused his buyer rights. Fuck this guy.

peace.
I don't have a dog in this fight because I really don't care, but I don't exactly find his version of events hard to believe.
Monolith is my friend William Grant. He collects mainly old Jamma stuff, so he lurks boards for info on shooters from time to time. Per what Will has to say on this mess:

IMG

(Sorry, I chose to black out some of the email info. Dont care to have our email addresses spammed all over the Neo forums. In Will's case his is used for his job, so that would be a major issue)

Jibba, you can relay to him that bit if you like. Your call.

Outside of that, for one, Will is a black guy, gives no fucks about PCE, classic pc gaming, consoles, etc. The guy put in enough research to try to find me on multiple forums, but didn't do enough research to actually figure out who he is blind dropping pms to on the Neo forums? He just goes around making assumptions based on what, minimal research he did on someone posting a link that mentions me I guess?

I don't post or hang out on the Neo forums. I have not owned a NeoGeo in quite some time, gave my last MVS away a long while back to a friend of Hercs, as I have ZERO interest in it these days, and no longer personally mess with Jamma stuff, so I wont be joining there again just to argue back and forth with Aquaman69 and her husband or wtf ever.

As for the whole thing of me telling them what they weighed, yes I did, after they sent me the original  jacked up invoice. I never named a price, or made demand of one. I just requested First Class Mail, because I knew it could be done, and prefer it to assholes shipping games via Media Mail or trying to rape on shipping charges, then shipping via Media Mail after said rape.

IMG

Her response was
QuoteDear professorprofessorson,

The shipping in the listing was based on eBay suggested defaults. I'll weight it all out tomorrow and send you over an invoice.

Thanks

- aquamango17
And this is the reply I sent "his wife" after she messaged me back saying it was a default invoice that was auto generated and that she would get me a quote:

IMG

Kinda been on there long enough to know the difference between ebays automated invoices, and ones sent by a seller, and the one they sent was not automated and came hours after I had won and received the original default ones issued by ebays automated system. So they got a friendly message of sorts since they are supposedly "new" to ebay (at this point its clear to me its an alt account, and that the guy probably trashed his own already prior and is having to use his wifes).

Their reply back to that was:

IMG

I replied back to that with this:

IMG

After that I called it a day. The only goal was to maybe salvage the seller at that point, and I got the feeling they did not care. It kinda sucks because I was hoping they were going to be a regular import seller I could do regular business with, but it became clear this was a cash out sorta thing on some games and the seller had no intention of being a decent ebay seller. You dont demand buyers contact you about shipping like that prior to bids unless you are concerned it will affect your profits you planned to reap from the shipping cost.

That pretty much told me all that I needed to know, that they were trying to skirt the ebay seller fees. They never did change the almost $8 shipping cost on Ys III on Mega Drive they had listed, even on the relist, nor post any disclaimers about their shipping policies on other listings. Basically they were trying to base their shipping cost around what they wanted to actually make on each game to skirt the fees.

Ebay does not require any bidder to notify any seller in advance of placing bids about wanting combined shipping on multiple purchases. This is for multiple reasons, including the fact that sellers may refuse to reply hoping to ensnare the bidder into winning, then dumping high shipping cost on them after the fact.

The fact of the matter is that if the seller is so against combined shipping rates, they should have put it in their auction details from jump street. Odds are good they wouldn't last long on ebay after doing this, but still, that would have been the proper way to display that kind of disclaimer, and I let them know that.

For me, I bid on the games I won while I was on my damn Samsung Galaxy while on the way to the hospital to visit my mother. I placed the bids near the end of the auction. On mobile, the only info you get when viewing ebay is of a brief description of the item, the option to bid, and the pics.

Like I said, put the games in a zip lock bag, tape them securely back to back, and drop them in a mailer and they would have arrived fine. My take on it is the seller seemed to be kinda dickish about it by taking me literally and just tossing them in a mailer and saying fuck it. I have a feeling they stepped on the package first just to make a point.

CONCERNING THEIR FEEDBACK. When I went to leave them the feedback, I did not downrate their DSR for shipping time, communication, or shipping cost. I only downrated their DSR for the "Item as described" rating. They earned their lower DSR ratings from other bidders.

Either way, if the seller wants to get it handled and make good on the damaged carts, you don't do it by sending your husband to contact people I know, hunt me down on forums or anything like that. If the husband was so insecure about the way they were doing it, he could have messaged me his concern at that point in time. They are the one that did the invoice for 4 bucks, not me. Be a fucking man already. Its your games guy, not your wifes.

They could have said $4-5.50 and that would have been a perfectly reasonable amount for First Class Mail. You have to be a total fucking noob at shipping to not know how to manage mailing something like a few loose carts, and they botched it completely, either on purpose, or out of stupidity. I dont care at this point whichever it was.

A better question at this point though is, as my friend pointed out, why is this guy having his wife sell his shit and handle his business on ebay. What kinda fucking pussy is he? The odds are its more like the guy is using his wife's account to sell shit, hiding behind her name, and after he fucked things up for her and she saw it, she got pissed.

Quote from: guest on 02/11/2016, 08:26 PMLOL was this lame ass attempt at a trolling battle between both forums the whole reason for ROT being here? Did Dion Dakis stop posting on the neo forums?
I could almost see that. The Neo forums, known for being chalk full of addicts, pedos, and scammers these days, some of the egos there being so starved for attention, trying so hard to stay relevant in the classic gaming scene in 2016, that they attempt to start a forum war with a seasoned, battle hardened forum like PCEFX :P , a forum with multiple members who have ties to the youtube and other scenes. The thing is, in social media now you see people talking about classics on systems like the Pc-Engine/Turbografx, and Snes and Genesis mainly, not the NeoGeo.

You see guys like Gamesack and Happy Console Gamer dedicating countless episodes to games on everything but the Neo, and when they do give the Neo attention its usually a one off, a single episode of some sort, or a brief mention here or there in between because of some fighting game or sports compilation episode.

And then you have other personalities dedicate their entire time to promoting systems like the Turbo on youtube, like spida1a doing the Turbo Views. For every NeoGeo related video that pops up, there are 20 times as many popping up with coverage and discussion about classics on the Snes, Turbo, and Genesis, along with Nes and Master System, Saturn, and PS1. The Neo was what, barely a blip on the radar on series like The History of Awesome?

Every year these Neo forum guys sense their systems relevance slipping more and more in the classic gaming world, with them and their forum being talked about less then less. Other systems gain far more coverage both on forums, and on youtube, in Facebook groups, classic gaming conventions, etc.

The NeoGeo mainly has to rely on the Neo forums for consistant active attention. No one else gives a flying fuck. I'm sure it concerns them Neo guys to no end. No one wants to die a slow death like that, but it is happening to them. Other communities are thriving and full of positive energy, while most of the attention and rep the Neo forums gets is negative these days due to high dollar scams and other fuckary.

Quote from: SignOfZeta on 02/11/2016, 07:54 PMDo you have a link to the original auction? I'd like to count the red flags.

Also, regarding the $8. Aparently this is a completely insane overcharge of some kind...but even if free shipping is promised then it is a maximum gouging of $8. That is not a lot. It's not enough to go on 10,000 word screed, that's for sure. Assuming actual shipping cost is like $5 (can it really be less?) then the PCEFX forums only gets penelized 3.3k words for every $1 you got ripped off. IMO that's you pricing yourself out of the market. You have to have some standards, man. Don't let random eBay people have this kind of power over you. It can't be good for your health.
You are very caught up on the whole thing of thinking I have been stressed out and worried about this shit all this time. The fact is once I paid the games were not on my mind till they arrived. It did not cross my mind again until it was time to leave feedback. I actually forgot to leave feedback, so it took me awhile to get to it.

From then on it was out of sight and out of mind again till a friend shows me this idiot messaged him. I learned about it today, not weeks ago. By this time tomorrow it will be the same deal as per usual, out of sight, and out of mind. But hey Zeta, you go on and feel free to stress out over my imagined stress you think I am suffering.   I appreciate your concern. Right now though you're the only one wanting to stress over it, wanting to examine auction details and shit and do point by point analysis after the fact, like any of it even concerns or affects you on any given level.

Its a pretty cut and dry situation. Items arrived not as pictured and described. Negative feedback given, case closed. The only reason you even got the details above in prior post was to give context to the thing, nothing more then that. No one forced you to read any of this, did they? I mean, you're like this one guy who is still following me around years later reading my shit constantly and posting after me complaining about anything I say, like people here have strapped you down and forced those eye lids open and made you read EVERY SINGLE FUCKING WORD I HAVE EVER TYPED. I mean seriously, you beat out Nintega for the STALK MICHAEL AWARD.

In contrast to this, you wanna know why I hardly ever reply back to any of your own post? Seriously, wanna know why? Cause I don't give a flying fuck about you. In that respect, I don't get your obsession with me. For someone who supposedly hates me so much and thinks so little of me, you sure have followed my ass around enough on here. For the most part I just ignore you and chalk it up to you doing harmless gay PCEFX stalker business.

But seriously, why do you care so much about what I say on here, or what I do? Just back out and go read more important threads and reply to those. You have an ignore feature, put me on it and move on. In a bit of tit for tat, you stressing out about my threads and what I post, and what sellers I might post about is going to send you to an early grave. Don't let some random PCEFX'er have this kind of power over you, especially for so many years now. It can't be good for your health.

I've always liked Heavy Unit on PCE. Its one of those games where the challenge makes the game. Visually I thought the game was standard fare. Nothing outstanding, but nothing terrible either.
#19
We are all runts, and PCEFX is too small time for a Big Tymer like Rot. We bore him so, and yet the real problem is, he bores us so much more. We have yet to be entertained. Given he made his debut in Fighting Street, and has done nothing but stick to this side of the forum, I kinda expected more then the current yawn fest he has been churning out.

All we have gotten out of this is that he is here to e-stalk some Neo bro because decisions of great importance that only affect the Neo forums depend upon it. Outside of that, all else that we have learned is that Rot is pretty fucking lame and his post read off like someone who has been snorting too much xanax in between typing their replies.
#20
Nope. Just left that feedback and moved on. Did not even do a follow up on their feedback. Time and energy versus cost. They didn't want to put any time or energy into making sure the items arrived ok, so I opted to put the same kind of effort back in that they did when they sent the items. If it seemed like it was an issue that could be resolved to my liking I'd have tried, but for a few bucks it isn't worth it for people that clearly did not give a flying fuck until they got negatives left on their account.

If they were honestly interested in making it right they could have apologized and sent a feedback revision request and all, which I may have worked with them on, but they were more interested in doing follow up feedback on their account that tried to save face while attempting to lay the blame entirely on me anyway. So I was not inclined to worry about it.

I mean, all they did was toss 3 loose carts in a bubble mailer. They did not add any individual padding to the games or take any steps to prevent them from damaging each other in transit, so I am not sure if what all that was going on with them physically was due to damage during shipping, or something they did prior to packing just to be assholes.

There was no care involved in the packing job. Its up to the seller to make sure they do what they can to insure the items arrive in the condition they were listed in. The seller made no effort, so they did not strike me as someone who gave a flying fuck either way. Nothing about the transaction was positive.

To be clear on this, after the initial invoice, I asked for a combined shipping rate using First Class Mail, and they did do one of $4.00, which for First Class Mail is not bad. I did not dictate this exact amount to them. It was the number they decided upon and tossed back at me. If they felt this amount would compromise their ability to pack 3 Mega Drive carts securely together, then they should have spoken up before sending a revised invoice, or just sent one for $5 instead of $4.

As is, we are talking minimal effort here while being able to maximize protection by preventing the carts from damaging each other anyway. All they had to do was stick the games together back to back in a small ziplock bag and tape it tight around the carts to keep them from banging around. Or place the the carts together back to back wrapped in a sheet of typing paper and tape it up so they are packed tight, then insert that in the bubble mailer they used. We are talking like 10 cents worth of extra material here and 2 mins of time maybe, so if $10 cents is all it would have taken to make them give a damn, they could have simply sent me an invoice for $4.10.

Per what I said originally, the main artwork/title labels were also peeling in the back of Batman and Thunderforce. Yeah Steet Smart was visible in the pics, so I did not mention that one. Batman and Thunderforce label issue was not listed in the auction details or shown in the pics. The pics don't show them peeling off at all as far as I can tell. I mean literally hanging off on the upper back area all loose. Like I said, there was wear on the carts not present in the pics, and the crack on Street Smart most definitely was not there in the pics. There was no "dirt" anywhere on the carts. The pins had no dirt. They had corrosion and some other kinda gunk going on. I guess filthy would have been the more proper label to give the carts pins as opposed to dirty if you want to be anal about it.

I'm adult enough to go by what ebay set up with their every changing policies, both when I buy and sell. I am also adult enough to read said policies on any given site before I set up a seller account. Everyone else has to adjust to the change in ebay seller polices, not just me. So so do these two assholes right along with us. Sucks for them. Maybe the guy will jump on or whatever. I dropped his wife a PM on ebay to see if she wants to respond. Will post an update if she does, though I do not expect her to do so.

As for dragging drama onto your door... I see nothing more in the thread than normal talk.. YOU are the one that's making an issue out of it...

I would assume you have some sort of issues... and wanna show your testosterone level on what you perceive as your site...

xROTx

PS. Let's be frank here... this site is sorta boring... maybe you wanna be top dog...

It's not hard pretending to be top dog when you only have a litter of runts to play with.,...

EDIT: and yes.. i have no real interest in PCE stuffs... BUT that does not mean we won't meet... I see a lot of PCE guys on other sites...

Your ignorance is outstanding...
Hit a nerve did I? Seriously, what kinda loser are you that you go join forums when you have virtually no interest in their subject matter, and only plan to stalk some dude from your own forum, then stay to whine about how boring it is in a section of the forum that is hardly ever used for just "normal talk". We have general chat for that shit.

You did not even have to post to do that e-stalking Neo bro shit anyway. You could have just kept your trap shut the entire time you did your e-stalking bit, then left peacefully when you finished up jacking off to whatever thread it was the guy had posted in.

As far as the site being boring, this place is far from boring, or full of runts, as you prefer to refer to my fellow forum members as. If you don't fucking like it here, if we just bore you so god damn much, then just leave.

I mean seriously, this is you, coming here to our forum that you supposedly care nothing about, concerning a system you care nothing about. This is you logging in continuously, wasting your own time e-stalking some fellow Neo bro of yours so that you can make some great important decision weighing heavily on your chest, again, on a forum concerning a system you care nothing about.

This is you purposely drawing attention to yourself by asking what it takes to get banned. If things were so fucking great on your end, you'd not be here, nor continue to post. So what gives guy? What horrible things have happened to you that you have to stalk some Neo bros and come here and act all dysfunctional.

Who you trying to convince here, you, or me, cause guy, I aint convinced one bit by anything you have to say.

Whatever issues you got going on besides that e-stalking your fellow Neo bro thing is, go get your shit sorted over on your own forum. People either join here because they love the Turbo/PCE and want to contribute, or they join to try to scam, find deals for resell, or they join to start shit. Your only activity has been in FS since you joined, so yeah, currently you are a drag on the forum membership roster. Sucks to be you Rot, sucks to be you.

The tread is me being a smart ass and having some fun out of it. I seriously doubt the guy lurks here, like 99 percent sure he doesnt, but if he did it would have been funny to see him respond. I do suspect he knows a few members here though since they would be fellow Neo members. Jeez NecroPhile, you should know me by now to know this is a personal lulz thread for me. Thats why I posted it in here, and not in general chat.

Quote from: NecroPhile on 02/11/2016, 03:25 PM2.  Don't expect combined shipping if it's not listed in the auction terms.  Ask before bidding or move on to a better seller; don't bitch about the terms after you already agreed to them.
Ebay expects the seller to offer it now. They expect the seller to charge actual shipping cost for the total purchase. Not doing so violates their terms of use, and gets the sellers shipping DSR trashed into oblivion, leading to a eventual seller account ban. Not a hard one to figure out there.

Quote from: NecroPhile on 02/11/2016, 03:25 PM3.  Don't complain about peeled labels, feelings of dirt, or lack of box theory on items listed as having 'obvious and significant wear but still operational'.  You rolled the dice and they did indeed eventually work, so you got what you paid for.
I said nothing of dirt or lack of a box. Those are your words, not mine. I left nothing in the feedback about the labels because that to me fell into iffy territory, though it would have been nice to have had said info listed since it was not made known and was not visible in the pics, it was not some kind of deal breaker and fell within the spectrum of "acceptable".  TBH I had to go back and look at the pics of the items, and if you looked at what I got versus what they posted pics of, you would not think they were the same items. The items still have to arrive in the condition they were depicted in in the pics. These carts did not.

Either way, what I paid for mainly was games listed as tested confirmed 100 percent working.  100 percent working means 100 percent. You stick it in, it works every time you power up.  It does not mean "only confirmed 100 percent working after you take the carts apart and sand and polish the contacts to make them work". Some average guy with no tech nohow would be left wondering why his q-tips and alcohol isn't working, stuck with said games not working correctly at all if he had got them. They only work now because I made them work well, because I knew what to do.

No cracks were shown in the pics for Street Smart. In the pics the cart was undamaged physically. Games not working upon delivery, needing to be physically taken apart and sanded due to corrosion on the pins, and me having to fix a crack in the shell with JB Weld, that shit 100 percent qualifies for "items not as described". The feedback left was proper.

The seller was upset with the feedback they got. That is their problem. Tough shit for them. Maybe someone here will get a laugh out of this, the fact some chick ran to her husband crying about her feedback, having him try to chase down said buyer on multiple forums instead of just being a responsible seller and handling her own shit. Thats all I can hope for, that this will bring a few laughs or chuckles or something.

Quote from: guest on 02/11/2016, 03:13 PMYou know, ebay takes fees out of shipping costs as well now.  Also, postage rates went up in the next year (though they do also allow First Class mail to ship up to just below 16 oz  as well.

Not saying that $8 to ship something first class is fair, but I also never assume someone will combine shipping unless they say so.  To be honest, if I get something and it's not as described I ask the seller and either request a partial refund or a full refund and return.  Ebay is pretty good about letting you return stuff it is not sold as described in the listing and you can prove it.
I look at it as time versus cost anymore. If the item was of a higher value, then I would have done a return. As is, I was fine just leaving them negative feedback and moving on to the next buy, as opposed to going through the entire hassle of the dispute system, and return shipping, along with bickering back and forth. As for the fees, that is a seller problem that you agreed to when you decided to list the item. Ebay offers shipping discounts to good sellers, so it balances out anyway. If fees are a concern, they should be factored into the auction bid or BIN amount, not factored into the shipping cost after the fact and pushed onto the buyer. One of ebays major gripes was how sellers were trying to pocket cash off of shipping cost.

This is why they have their current policies concerning it in place now, including the DSR so you can downrate sellers who overcharge, and they do ban sellers who are caught overcharging on shipping now (ebay allows buyers to submit to them copies of shipping labels so they can confirm if the buyer was overcharged). Per ebay:

"What you can charge:
Actual shipping cost: This is the amount for shipping the item. It should be what you paid the carrier.
Handling cost: This can include the cost of packaging materials and insurance cost, if any."

Clearly this guy sucks, all the others sucked too, I don't doubt this, but don't you ever ask yourself why eBay drama is a daily chronic issue for you?
Its like a once every two month sorta thing. In your mind it is a daily thing, but that is an issue with your perception of events and how and when they play out. In general, look at how much I buy compared to how often it happens, and the amount of times it happens is fairly small, as is the number of sellers who do shit like this. Almost ALL of my game shopping is mainly done on ebay, as is many other purchases. But honestly I think it would get boring if I constantly blogged and bragged about all my great weekly buys, so I tend to not do that.

But I mean, if you must know, an example for comparison sake, I scored great deals on this stuff over the past three weeks or so on ebay alone:

Genesis model 3 $20
Mega Drive Hokuto No Ken Mega Drive $12.99
Famicom system $29.99
Dracula XX SFC $54.99
Battle Blaze  SFC $.99
Don Doko Don PCE $14.99
Marchen Maze PCE $12.99
Volfied PCE $7.99
Genji Tsushin Agedama PCE $17.99
Magicoal PCE $17.00
Super Chase HQ Snes $7.99

Ys III Snes $16.99

TBH, it seems as if you plan to drag messy Neo-Geo.com forum drama to our doorstep. You clearly are not here to talk Turbo or PCE. Drama from your end would not be appreciated, and if it was my decision, based upon what you have said so far, I'd just auto ban you to avoid any potential issues because it looks like that is where you are headed.

QuoteYeah... it's sorta like that on this site...

...It's sorta boring...
Yes, I agree, it must be pretty boring for you here. We don't have any $30,000 scams taking place by supposed part time drug dealers, or any murder trial coverage concerning former members. I guess in contrast to that, what little we have to offer you must be putting you into a coma right about now.

QuoteI was reading up on a member on Ng.com... I needed some more info before a decision was made... and this was where the thread was...
This shit does not concern us unless it is scammer/fraud related and they are ripping people off on one of the forums.  Whatever this member did, did they do it on the Neo forums? Or are you saying they did some scams here, and you are concerned about what they may do on the Neo forums down the road?

Either way, I am sure this is a matter you could handle privately on the Neo forums, or via a pm to our admin or mods. You don't need to drag our forum into it in threads. If the person is a scammer here, I am sure they have already been dealt with. We take care of our own shit here. If they are a known scammer on the Neo forums, but not here, then you could just drop our admin or moderator a pm with a detailed explanation of your concerns and let them handle it the way they see fit.

If you are here with a personal axe to grind against some other Neo member who post here, then forget it, just leave. We are not interested. This kind of shit does not concern us, and many of us will just side with the other guy out of principle alone. Your issues with some random Neo member are your own, and you have the Neo forums to handle said issues, either publicly or privately, however you see fit there. We have plenty of members here that are members on the Neo forums also, and they manage to not drag their Neo forum crap onto our forums just fine.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Outside of the above, since you made the comment about our community being "boring". TBH we consider ourselves to be a somewhat smaller, but classier forum. Yes, we are a smaller and more exclusive community, keeping ourselves mostly private. Yes, we are more civilized, and we tend to appreciate multiple systems and not just focus on one system that only offered quick play titles.

And on to the subject of Turbo/PCE versus NeoGeo. Yes, our system has a larger quantity of better quality games then your favorite LOL"24-bitter" does, and a much larger library of cooler games with more stay power. And yes, our fav system here outsold the Neo across multiple continents. Yes, our system did not need to be advertised using a hotdog comparison ad. We got more shooters, rpgs, action games, sports titles, platformers, etc.

How I feel about this entire situation, your forum compared to ours, and how the Neo maintains such a high number of ignorant fanatics, let alone SNK's losing position since it barely even qualified as a niche system during the console wars, well how I feel is very similar to what Webster ranted to the German soldiers after they lost WW II.
SNK lost the console wars to everyone else on all continents. NEC, Nintendo, and Sega did not even have to combine their efforts to crush SNK. SNK destroyed itself. Evidently someone forgot to inform the Neo forums of this. We tend to appreciate everything most all the consoles had to offer in one way or another, not just the PCE. All the while most of you die hard Neo guys seem caught up on egotistical shit over a system that was caught up regurgitating up multiple revisions of the same few games over and over again near the end of its life span, and tend to drag this ego drama over multiple forums.

A system with a library of titles, most of which can all be beaten in 20 mins or less is nothing to brag about. A system with games set at ridiculous prices, all while being managed by a company that was inadvertently working towards the general collapse of the arcade market as a whole, until SNK finally imploded and came back as a pussy whipped SNK Playmore is yet still nothing to go bragging about....

Thats the real legacy of the NeoGeo and SNK. Forget all the awesome games they created in the 80's and very early 90's. What they should be remembered for is helping to influence the collapse of the North American arcade scene with too many fighters and weak Metal Slug follow ups, while maintaining a home console base with sale numbers so laughable that even Atari Corporation considered them a non-threat during the 90's.

In a console wars situation, nothing on the NeoGeo can equal Dracula X, Winds of Thunder, Ys, etc, let alone match titles on Snes or MD/Genesis like Super Mario World, Castlevania 4, Actraiser, Super Metroid, Chronotrigger, Bare Knuckle 2, Strider, Shining Force II, Phantasy Star II etc.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the Neo. There is some pretty good stuff on there good for some quick play in short burst. But seriously, the console wars are over. The Neo lost on every front in the end and helped kill its own arcade market. It was left with games that can keep your attention for only 10-20 mins at a time barely, if you don't beat them first that is.

Seriously Rot. Its time to OBEY. Break free from the cold dead grasp of the soulless Neo and its vile forum drama, and go towards the soft warm bosom of love that is the PCE. It is time to suckle on the tit of variety that the PCE and its community has to offer you. Go forth and nourish yourself on some Air Zonk, Cosmic Fantasy II, or Dracula X.

To add some more detail to this. Basically this Stellarola clown was filled with hurt feelings over his wife's ebay transaction with me that she botched. But instead of messaging me properly through ebay about her feedback, he messages me on Sega 16, which I am hardly ever on. And I guess he got impatient due to lack of replies,  so less then 24 hours later he drops a similar message to my friend Will on Will's Neo forum account to try to get my attention.

On the off chance you are lurking here:

Per your message sent to me on Sega 16:
Quote from: stellarolaHey Michael,

My name is Ben and you recently bought some games of mine that my wife listed on her ebay account, 'aquamango17'. She just recently started selling on eBay and it appears you left two negs and one neutral. She's pretty upset to say the least. What exactly happened?

Thanks,

Ben
1. It is not proper to message my friends on other forums in order to reach me. If you have an issue with me over an ebay purchase, you fucking message me directly via ebay, where the transaction took place, or via fucking email. You don't contact my personal friends via email, forum, phone, etc, nor try to reach me on gaming forums I hardly ever log in to, let alone any gaming forum at all.

2. Your wife was an ebay noob who I guess thought she was going to be able to over charge on shipping for multiple items.

3. The items did not arrive as described, which was the main problem. "Confirmed tested 100%" means shit works on first try, and works every time. The games arrived and required excessive cleaning before they would work. Also, they arrive in good condition. They don't arrive with cracks in the back of the casing, or with peeling labels (which was an issue with Batman and Thunderforce II).

Per my pm to you on Sega 16:

QuoteMy friend Will stopped by to do some platooning with me this morning on World of Tanks and do some forum lurking and showed me you messaged him on the Neo forums about a purchase I made on ebay.....

Concerning the purchase from your wife, per the tone of her reply, she was evidently slightly irked I asked for a combined rate for winning multiple items. Per the original invoice sent to me, no way in hell would I pay $8.42 to have three Mega Drive carts shipped to me via First Class Mail in a plain bubble mailer, so yeah, I am going to ask for a fair rate. She did charge a fair rate on a revised invoice, but the fact she was irked I asked for one was an issue, let alone the fact I even had to actually ask to begin with.

And the items did not arrive as described, which was the major issue. Getting the carts to work was problematic, especially in the case of Batman and Street Smart. They required excessive cleaning. Street Smart had a crack in the back of the cart also. The main artwork/title labels were also peeling in the back of Batman and Thunderforce. This was not listed in the auction details.

Also, just as a personal note, I had made it a point to mention out the excessive shipping she was charging on her Ys III MD cart, mainly because I wanted to bid but the shipping was listed as too high. That was the main reason why I did not bid on it. Ebay does not care for people trying to skirt seller fees by overcharging on shipping. I checked back to see if she corrected the amount when she relisted, and she did not. TBH, after years of being on ebay, I am tired of seeing new people sign up and deliver shit not as described, or try to profit off of shipping cost. The fact that this shit was pointed out to her and she decided to continue on with the rip off'ish like shipping charge shit told me all I needed to know about the character of the seller

On this particular issue though, the actual purchase, the items I purchased that did not arrive as described, honestly I did not care to waste the energy pursuing a ebay dispute over the damaged cart or bicker over the whole AS-IS mess if she decided to fight a dispute, along with dealing with a return over  afew bucks. The refund amount would not be worth the hassle, and the auctions were listed in bold as "AS-IS", which I guess was a warning sign that things may not actually be as described. My bad for ignoring the warning signs. At any rate, I left my feedback and moved on. I prefer to pick my battles, and this one was not worth $5.

If your wife does not understand ebay seller policies, then please direct her to this link:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/selling-practices.html

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/seller-non-performance.html

Pretty much all I have to say on the matter. Your wife got the feedback that fit the situation, and be thankful I don't care to fucking call ebay trust and safety today and inform them that she was having you contact my friend Will over her ebay issues. I am pretty sure that would earn her an instant ban on her account. You want to reach me about an ebay purchase, you do it directly via ebay message system, or the email linked to the payment. You don't contact my personal friends on gaming forums about purchases that do not concern them, nor drop pm's to me on forums I am hardly on.

Was thinking of maybe replacing the US titles with their PCE counterparts. The two needing English are ones that if I really had to, I could simply play on my flash card if need be. I'd be more interested in trading then selling them. But I might be willing to accept some cash offers, though to be honest if I was going to simply sell them I'd be better off taking them to ebay since what I'd be replacing them with would have to be bought off there too, so at this point trades will interest me more.

Pretty much like in any other trade thread I do, if I dont know you personally, you will be expected to ship first. Also, tracking will be required. Thread will be locked,  since it probably wont need to be bumped. If you are interested just send me a pm.

List of games are as follows:
Blazing Lasers, in case, no manual
Alien Crush in case with manual (I think the label on the case is a Sparky label)
Keith Courage in case with manual
Neutopia in case with manual

Loose hucards:
Neutopia 2
New Adventure Island
Cadash

You can replace the thumb-pad with one from a normal Turbopad/PCE pad. They are raised a tad higher so your thumb doesn't sink into the circular pit surrounding the thumb pad and grind on anything. It is an easy swap out. In general the plastic on those TG/PCE thumbpads feels better/smoother, so I recommend swapping them out.

Really sucks for the guy. In general he is a pretty nice guy, and he cut a lot of people on this forum quite a bit of deals.

He also did try to make good on the fuck ups, but I think after a certain point people were just too fed up and angry. Other shit was already going on with other bad sellers on here, the neo forums, and elsewhere, so the well of forgiveness was all tapped out. People tend to forget that in the end, Dean did a lot more good then he did bad for the communities. As is, hope the guy is doing well, and still doing some obey from time to time.

All sorts of factors can come into play causing some disc to read better then others, regardless of scratches, and also, no system is immune. It's simply that the RX has better quality caps that have a better chance of lasting longer. This will still depend on how many hours of play the system has been put through. Also, a dying laser, or one that is not calibrated well, may be able to read some areas of a disc at certain speed rotations fine, but not at others, or have issues with certain disc that have a tad bit more wobble then normal due to focus issues.

You can try to re-calibrate the laser first, and if that wont work, then replace it and calibrate the new one that gets installed. If the laser is still failing then the problem may be the caps or some other component. If you have no prior experience with repairs or this sort of thing then send it to one of the people here who does. Proper calibration especially takes a bit of know how and a certain level of persistence, along with having a good set of disc, both music and game wise, perfect for calibrating lasers to get things performing tip top again.

Ditto, thanks :)

Yeah the caps are going bad. There is no doubt about it. The stock caps do not last this long without some issue. And if they are leaking, that means they are eating traces and causing damage you cant always see right off the bat. Its time to send it in. Prolonging it just means you are allowing things to get worse.

The fact that your system has not been recapped at all is an issue all of its own. Why in the world would anyone mod a Duo without recapping it first?

Yeah I figured you just used a couple slide switches and cut a trace or two and rewired something. But yeah, post something up. I wanna see what size switch you went with and the placement. I just got a AVE Pad 6 in, so I am interested in nabbing some switches and doing the mod.

Note: you dont have to do a full on video guide, would just be cool to have some HQ pics showing the switch placement, what traces you cut, and what areas you tapped/soldered on to.

Interest is still there, post the info! :P

These are the kinda threads that just go to show why this is the best PCE/TG community. The creative talent pool on this forum far surpasses most other classic game related forums.
