Equifax.  I've read so many opinions of what to do, or not do......that I just don't know who to trust on the best coarse of action with that whole mess, so that my wife n' I have at least some protection from us being screwed over by some thieves somewhere down the road.

The advice I was given is to freeze your credit and only unfreeze it when you need to finance something then freeze it again.

Looks like I don't have one sealed, but I'd only ever mess around with it on a TED anyway, until I decide to seriously beat it. There are just too many hundreds of Turbo/PCE games I'd rather play in the meantime.

I have played it on the TED, but I remember playing it as a kid on DOS thinking it was so cool!  With a game like Gunboat there is no reason to open it, and I don't collect sealed games, so I figured why not try and get a sealed copy?

I despise how my phone's glass shattered a little bit after a fall and the replacement LCD thing is $180.

I paid $199 for the phone. I can only find new ones for $250+.

 

update: I dropped it again and the screen has 80% of its surface cracked
I didn't want to buy a new one but it feels like the screen will fall into a million pieces anytime. RIP Nexus 6.

The screen probably won't fall out all at once. Just a bunch of tiny razor blades in your pocket.

It's not something I request, but I can get behind a cherry in one, too, or an orange peel twist instead of lemon peel twist (not both, though). The giant orange on it though? That's just excessive. It's a drink, not dessert.

This had the cherry and orange peel in addition to muddled cherry and orange. I could barely taste the bourbon.

I grabbed a SNES Classic bundle on Gamestop that came with two wireless controllers.  I didn't really want the controllers at all, but the bundle was cheaper than resale prices on the system alone, and maybe (probably not), they will actually be good controllers to use when I am more than 5 feet from the system.

Just saw a video on YT today talking about Gamestop and ThinkGeek doing those damn bundles, essentially forcing you to buy some garbage at a high markup if you want the system. They did the same thing for the NES classic.

I saw that video too. Eff GameStop for forcing people to buy surplus garbage nobody wants.
PS. ThinkGeek and Gamestop are one in the same!

uber/lyft has made rental cars obsolete for me, and I couldn't be happier about it.

It's work related, but personal use is part of the deal. I'd never get a Uber/Lyft driver to agree to just drive me around seemingly aimlessly at times.

Depending on the size of your hands, you may find the NES30Pro to be a bit small. I like the controller, but my hands cramp up after a while of playing.

I'm the opposite. My hands are small, so the SNES controller is one of the few that I can play for hours without cramping, I can't say the same for the PS4 controller. This thing is a godsend.

Yeah, the SNES version is fantastic! The NESPRO30 is the one with the dual analog sticks that cramps my hands up after a while.

I am noticing five of the 4558 op amps that are mounted 2x on the top and 3x on the bottom in the area where the laser is, am I missing any, and should I replace all of them?

First thing I did was check the connector for loose solder and discovered there had been an rgb mod done to this, so I swapped the 8 pin for a 5 pin. Still no sound, so my next thought was caps. The board looks in decent shape, but I'm new to looking at it from a troubleshooting standpoint.

So I bought a not working Duo R off eBay listed with no sound and no video from the cd drive. I was able to get the cd working beautifully with minor pot adjustments. I ordered a cap kit from Console5 and was looking over the cap diagram and noticed it didn't look like the duo r diagram I had printed out, so I googled the motherboard number and it's a duo rx motherboard inside a duo r shell. Looks like I have a couple less audio circuit caps to replace. Hope it works since I've not heard of the caps needing replaced very often on the duo r's.
