For what it's worth :
underground-gamer.com
you can download all the PCE games you want, and burn/sell illegally to your heart's content.

if you can't get on (usually not too hard), pm for invite(got 5). Try it yerself 1st please.

Also, if I'm not supposed to mention the existence of this, let me know nicely, and I never will again.
#10
Well, does anyone know where these can be found?

Besides the Bomberman series, why do I need a 5-player multitap?
What games, if any, for the PCE or fun for 3+ players, especially non-gamers, like the lovely wife?
Thanks in advance!

btw, preferably Hucard games...
#13
Are you serious? PC Genjin 3 is worth twice that !

Should email the guy and tell him that you would've paid that, except you see he's placed it on his kitchen floor, and there's no way you'll touch it now.
#14
Really? Is that opinion from personal experience? I've never owned one, so I don't know...

With this :

One could use this :

On a PC engine,
Amazing, to me.
BTW, anyone know where that adapter is in stock?

True dat !
although, I was only joking, b/c he asked that question, yet I didn't really feel that he answered it satisfactorily.

Here's a review for the tg16 version :
http://www.mobygames.com/game/turbo-grafx/klax/mobyrank

"Die geniale Geschicklichkeitsgrübelei "Klax" gleicht dem Automatenvorbild wie ein Ei dem anderen und spielt sich eine Winzigkeit besser als Mega Drive"

"The ingenious Geschicklichkeitsgrübelei "Klax" resembles the automat model as an egg the other one and plays themselves a extreme smallness better than mega drive"

LOL

I love when I ask a simple question, and start a long discussion.
The general consensus seems to be Outrun, and then to each his own, right?

Me too !

Not sure if F1 Circus is what I have. There is only 1/2 dozen or so F1 games ...but i'll certainly give it another try in any case...
#22
Yeah I got an F1 game (don't know which one) and here was the experience:
About 3 minutes of navigating thru menus I didn't understand, and then here go we #CRASH# "Retired" Back to the title screen. Zero fun, and that's why this query. Thanks for your recommendations, nat ! I'll have to look into those.

Or just worth playing?
Thanks!

Quote from: Spector on 08/06/2007, 05:22 PMI just have the original white PC Engine and I'm only interested in hucards right now.

This gives me an idea for another thread. It would be good if a definitive list was made of Japanese Hucard games that due to language barriers either cannot be played or are severely compromised. One such example would be World Court Tennis. The RPG mode is unplayable in the Jap version. A full list of games like this would be useful for English speaking forum members that are buying hucards so that they don't go and buy something they find they cannot play. Retrodelee's thread covers similar turf but it's not quite the same thing.
I second the motion, and for the same reasons.

I have for trade a Saturn with an Action Replay 4-1 (Cheats, 4mb RAM, 1mb RAM, plays imports) which is chip-modded to play "backups" I have or can easily create any Saturn game that ever was - as far as I know, that is. I say this not to declare an increased value of this trade, but keep in mind if you got this system, you would not have to buy any games. This system has an original Saturn pad (not the fat one, the good one), and the hallowed "3-D Pad" ! Also, a couple 3rd party pads that work ok...also, a few (3-4) actual American games, nothing special. All cords, clean, great shape. Has Sega Saturn stickers on it.

This system works perfectly, but it's mostly collecting dust since I "discovered" the PCE.
What I put into it (this too, is not to declare a value neccesarily, but to show you what you might have to pay to aquire a similar system)
System = $30
AR 4-in-1 = $25
ModChip = $25
Two working OEM controllers = $16 (much more on eBay)
Two 3rd party controllers = $?
Any game you want to play= priceless (lol j/k-no actual value)

I will upload pictures if I have some interest in this.
Well, I took some pics anyways :

Pink Godzilla is located right near me.

Their walk-in store is killer, definitely the best I know of in the Seattle area.
Must be nice. On the East Coast, at least in my area, there is no such thing as a store with import games. In fact, we're nearly overrun with Gamestops ](*,)

Now, I hope I'm allowed to mention this, but I can download a copy from underground-gamer, and burn it, or just burn the file, and let you burn the actual disk, for the cost of CDs and shipping...if that's all you are looking for.

Quote from: Keranu on 08/01/2007, 06:18 PMI say if you're going to sell something non-Turbo/PCE releated, sell it in the Console Chat forum. If you're selling Turbo/PCE stuff with it, then include the items and sell it in either the Turbo or PCE selling forums.
Specifically, I want to trade non-PCE stuff for PCE stuff. I would assume, logically, that the PCE trade/sell would have the most viewers with PCE stuff to trade.
However, if you are saying that i cannot, i will not, with no further discussion.
Thanks
Yeah what nat said :P . Do whatever you want! :)
Thanks !
It's nice to get permission, even if I don't need it !
Now i've got to get off my butt and go photo my Saturn. I'd be more motivated if I knew someone was interested, though... well, c'est la vie !

 #-o SuperMarioBrothers3
nothing else even comes close ( sorry to have to reveal this timeless truth on pcenginefx boards)

Honestly, every other game I have ever played, on any system : I play it, I put it away. i might come back, i might not, doesn't matter. But SMB3, I always come back to. It just does not get old.

So, no Hucard mouse games. I guess that would be too much to ask... #-o

Thanks for your answer ! I'll post that soon, and see if I get any takers...

Hi
New to the PCE scene, and to the boards.
Got me a basic PCE on the way from from pinkgodzillagames.
Now that it's too late to ask, has any one had any experience with them?

More questions :
I find myself interested in HuCard games exclusively : am I the wierdo , or are there others like me?
Can anyone point me to a list of games which use the PCE mouse? (Populous, I hope...)
Is there a reliable place online to buy some cheap games, besides eBay (which is rarely cheap), and here, which I assume is intermittent?

If I were to place a modded Saturn (plays ALL games) w/2 original controllers, including the 3-D controller!, a couple of games, plus a TON of "backup" (LOL) games on the PCE sale/trade board to trade for PCE ... stuff... [-o<
would I have any takers ( I can give greater details if so), or a ban/lock? ](*,)

Thanks everyone !
