Localization Legend "Supper the Subtitler" has "joined the club" in being targeted for CD-pressings by bootleg master Tobias/PCEWorks! His projects like Private Eyedol, Galaxy Fräulein Yuna 1 & 2, etc. are now being sold on Chinese factory-pressed CDROMs...

Just watched it, excellent stuff great production....cant wait for 6!

Like it says in that thread that game is a homemade mock up of an isometric Mad Stalker, the actual Mad Stalker game is a side scrolling action game.

mstlker.jpg

Thta is the X68000 version, but i imagine its near identical on PCE.
#3
In fact the giant Hu Card is just a piece of plastic on SF2, you can take it off to reveal an extended back rom panel underneath, it plays fine without this raised plastic bit.

Looks cool tho hehe.
#4
There were arcade PC Engine pcbs, i have an article in CVG magazine from around '89 showing the hardware.
#5
Wow interesting stuff, what made you look this up?

I'd be interested to find similar for NeoGeo.
#6
Its deffinately Laseractive pad like the guy said, probably from NEC's version, not Pioneers.
#7
I used to play this on my friends Amiga, one of the best basketball games ive played. Loved that version at least.

Lee Power was a king.
#8
I was a member of Advance console entertainment's news ring in the early 90's, they sent us out a press release thing telling how the Ironman's key feature was its abilty to morph images on the fly, the screen shot examples showed a woman turning into a man (orvisa versa). Such wierd feature was never touted later on afaik.
#9
It was on sale in Spain & France AFAIK.

Telegames UK aquired a massive stock of them, have been selling them on ebay for around a year.

#10
Wow I always thought Aoi Blink was gonna be something jap lewd unplayable, the screens look really great might have to track it down.
#11
Was Jackie Chan released in the USA?

Whatever, thats one of the best game evarrrrr!
#12
Did Camp California actually come out?
#13
It wasnt actually released, it was known as "Hi-Ten" bomberman, running in wide screen.

There have been uber threads on this over @ assemblergames.com

Cant quite remember the conclusions, though it is on PC Engine hardware, some magazines suggested modified or even PC-FX hardware.

In order for me :

Download
Final Soldier

Quote from: stevek666technical question:  I didn't think SuperGrafx had System card 3.0 built in... so wouldn't you still need the PCE Arcade Card, not the Duo Arcade Card?  Just curious!

No because the system level 3.0 is built onto the Super CD-Rom2 unit.
#17
Sure, after all SCD is Duo level.

Hence why the card is called Duo, its for Duo level super system.
#18
CD games are universal, any game works on any country machine.
#19
Woah shit you won all that??

If so  nice score!!

BTW, there are no USA Supergrafx titles, it was never released there.
#20
I think you have to have it modded, there is no straight converter AFAIK.

Contact D-~Lite, he sells pre-modded units sometimes, as well as doing mods.
#21
Believe USA SCD Dynastic Hero is the most ££

For jpn its Darius Alpha or Galaxy Police Bitch Sapphire

Maybe.
#22
Im was never too keen on Gunstar Heroes really, sure its good but Shubibnman is more my style, no.3 might be a little easy.
#23
Yeah part 2 is most in common with Rockman, I still think the first game is real cool, its really old....and looks it heh, but has nice features for its time.
#24
Shockman (Shubibinman 2) > Rockman.

In fact Mega/Rockman is all shit, Shubibinman is rox.

Quote from: stevek666guess what?  I totally want to play Addams Family now!  I am masochistic, but I love crap games.  I need to pull out Battle Royale soon and have some friends over.  GOOD TIMES!  Actually, I just won the Japanese version of Battle Royale... oh snap, no I didn't.  Does that even exist?  Losing my mind.  I just won the PC-Engine version of TV Sports Football and Bravoman... that's what I meant.

Hah me too, I have a penchant for dodgy titles, Addams Family looks like it fitrs the bill.

My fave dodgy game ever is prolly Golden Fighter on SFC, its like The China Warrior Super :D
#28
You cant play roms on your DUO, you can only use them on your PC on an Emulator like "Magic Engine", or "Yame".

You can burn CD games, by downloading ISO/MP3.
#29
Did you buy it off D-Lite / Dragsy on ebay??

Looks real cool in PCFXTV, id like toitry it one day.
#30
Word seeing screens of like Valis and import Mega CD games was so fucking amazing when i was 13 or 14, i swear i thought id never play those games for real, even tho i had a PCE + SCD, i got like one game a year buying em blind over the phone heh.

Looking at the screens and those memories turned to be better than most of the games heh.

Gamefan went bust someime back.
#32
Are those prices in Euros?

If so id like to buy Splash Lake.
#33
Quote from: JammaniaclordLoad times on the emulator aren't so bad.

Feedback / "hugh" cards?
12/21/2004, 12:44 PM
LOl ive never thought of it, this thread is shattering my illusions

I think ill stick with Hugh;)
#38
The X68000 vers should be good being released in 1994, they had more tthan enough time to get power out of it.

It does load like a motherfucker though, id stick with carts;)
#39
I must have a penchant for the shit:lol:

China Warrior is another fave of mine, really it is.

See  also Golden Fighter on Super Famicom, its similar to an update, great too (if you are me;))
#40
Thats a classic imo, the control is meant to be like that;)

F1  Pilot is pretty dire.........maybe not the worst, but it gives me nightmares cause i swapped Final Soldier for it when i were a child:(

PCE/TG-16|CD/SGX Discussion / Super CD
12/18/2004, 07:46 AM
Im presuming you mean a core ubit & a CDRom 2 in the interface unit.

To play CD's you need a system card in the Hu Card slot.

To play Super CD's you need a Super System Card 3.0 in the Hu Card Slot (Or an Arcade Card Pro)
#42
Whats this Hi-res mode on PCE??

I gotta see that

You saying it hardly has any parallax??
.......Even on the first Last Resort / Neo Tokyo type stage, that's a real shame
#43
Quote from: Liquid SnakeWhat kind of game is this?
Never heard of it before

http://www.geocities.co.jp/HeartLand-Suzuran/9038/pce_nfs22.html

Action game, apparently it was going to be "great"
#44
The suitcase is the original deal, I don't think sany PCE owner can be such an authority to say which is the most authentic set up, though personally I love my Briefcase, its the one i'd always wanted............though in 1993 i did have the Core II/SCDRom2 set up........still do but the SCD is kaput :(

In retrospect I knpw I overpiad for my briefcase, boxed w/ new Avenue 6 for £209........prolly too much, but it is ace.

Only problem with SCDRom is its nickname as the butfucker.
#45
Cool look forward to it.

Though you did give me a heart attack when you said you'd just won it off ebay cause id been stalking the one 16bit/mad gear has for sale...........luckily yours wasnt it
#46
The Avenue Pad 3 is for real, it was bought  out originally with & specificaly for Forgotten Worlds

Martial Champions is also a 3 button game that supports it.
#47
Quote from: Liquid SnakeThe reason why you "can't" leave the door is that you have to press UP for one second in order to exit........

Yeah, I know it seems obvious and im sure thats what I was trying. I felt like such an idiot when i passed it:lol:
#48
Well you can read my oh so thrilling review of the X68K version on my shitty site above in the review section :D

The ame is class, surely the PC Engine vers + CD asudio must rox.

.....here's hoping
#49
LOL Son Son II is a classic, the monkey lead chara is class.

I tell you for ages i was such a twat at that game, on the first level i couldnt "leave" at the end.

I was sure everytime i tried it all to go through the door but couldnt.

Then one day i did, i have no idea wbhy i (or my friend) couldnt before, just one o them stupid videogame things.

Hallow fans!

Only just realised the PC Engine version of Mad Stalker is for ACD.

I wondered how is it, do you like it............good graphics & sound??

Been a long fan of the X68000 version (get it on my http://baseley09.tripod.com/x68000xtreme/index.html site............if I were to get an FM Towns Marty i'd pick up this title, but if the PCE version is grest enough i might not bother,

Basically i'm looking for more excuses to NOT get a Marty. most of the line up in on PCE & 68K as it is.

So Mad Stalker ACD........good yo??
