Yeah, when they stole my 50 TurboGrafx games and my Turbo Duo, they left my five boxed games, one if them was Bonk three, I already took a picture for you guys if you send me a link to make it a proper size and file type I'll gladly contribute.
#2
I've got a French Bonk 3, the instructions are black and white and French, still has shrink wrap with a sticker on it that says ''directives en francais a l'interieur''
Don't know if this helps or not, but figured I'd try lol.

Nah, my girlfriend was with me, I usually do trips around BC every few weeks and she comes with me, nothing like loud punk rock music shit loads of caffeine and someone to laugh and talk with when you're stuck in a car for ten hours.
Apparently the old couple that lives across the street said they were taking out the garbage around seven, noticed the lights were on and someone with short light colored hair was walking around inside, also my car was gone, but they apparently didn't think anything of it.
In my collection there were about fifty Turbo grafx and TurboGrafx CD games, around fifteen or twenty were CD games which will make it look even weirder if it pops up.
Definitely going to get a security system now, if this happens again I'm blowing my fucking head off lol.

No room mates or people staying with me, I'm rather seclusive, most people are too stupid to put up with, I'm in a relationship right now, me and my girlfriend have been living together about a year, it sucks too because I got her into TurboGrafx pretty good.
I was out game hunting, came back with about fourth games, ready to clean, organize and put into my collection only it wasn't there when I got back.
Nobody knew I was gone, as for suspects in not too sure, I have maybe three people I game with but they're mostly PlayStation and Xbox ''gamers'' so they're fucking clueless, I get them to play old shit but apparently nobody has patience for games requiring skill nowadays.
As long as it pops up eventually I'll be fine, hell if the person brought it back this second I'd hug them, I don't make much money so have $13,000 worth of my life's collection go missing feels like something I can't replace.
Thanks again for all the kind words, its hard to keep my fucking sanity lol.
#5
All I really have are video games and furniture, what else does someone need in there life lol.
Thank you for the kind words though, I really hope something happens.
#6
It might pop up in Alberta, who knows, I'm betting Vancouver though, its been nine days now I'm starting to think I'm totally fucked. :(
Thanks for everything though so far you guys.
#7
Exactly, the freezer makes sense to look in, some drugs get stored there, the person was very thorough, found all the hiding spots.
All I can really do is hope it pops up somewhere eventually and I can spot it and find out who brought it in.
Both Y's book I and IIs, the tgcd one and the duo one, my Neutopia II was just in a regular CD case, if I remember any little details I'll post them, I'm sure whoever took it isn't very smart, and won't sell it off a few games at a time. Nearly 600 were missing.
Thanks though for all the advice so far, I'm really trying hard to keep my hopes up. :(
#8
Oh yeah, should be prints, shitheads out here get finger printed, the fact they left the crowbar though means either they're very very very stupid, or they had gloves on.
#9
No, its neither of those two lots, and yes, all of my Turbo stuff, all of my Dreamcast, took all NES, most of my SNES, took my Wii u, left the games, and the charger for gamepad as well as sensor bar, I don't care if the person gets caught, I just want my games, fuck the cash, and smokes, years of hard work getting a collection like that, just to come back to broken empty shelves is the shittiest feeling ever, thank you though for looking it means so so much to me. :(
#10
No bank because I don't trust the bank, they always take fees, and fuck people over, not to mention I'm just waiting for America to start another pointless war and fuck the economy, then our pretend money in the bank will be useless.
Also nearly every piece of extra cash I have has gone into gaming anyways so I'd just put money in to pull it out, I have a pretty serious problem with gaming, its all I really watch, do, read, talk about, now that a huge chunk of it is gone I've been contemplating selling the last of it or just giving up on everything, years of saving and hard work gone, its very hard to deal with and I'm still in shock, very confused, pissed off and devastated.
#11
Lmao, that Wii shovelware comment made me laugh pretty hard.
No, I don't hang out with crack heads, don't do any drugs myself anymore so don't really hang out with that crowd unless its just weed, no insurance, nothing.
The asshole left the crowbar on my steps though, and fingerprints on my TV, he had to unplug nearly 20 systems, went into the freezer to to steal some cartons of cigarettes so they dusted for fingerprints and shit there too, also took nearly $2,000 hidden amongst various hiding places in the house.
The person was pretty thorough, went just for Wii u, NES, SNES , Dreamcast and TurboGrafx, didn't touch jaguar or 3do or Saturn, only the stuff I bragged about to people I'd been friends with awhile I thought I could trust.
I scoped out eBay, its not that Ontario add, I had about 20 Turbo CDs and Super CD games too, don't know if that will help, the Dragons curse I grabbed had a piece of tape saying dragons curse on the side, it was a kieth courage case, I'm just trying to remember any details.
Once again thank you so much to anyone keeping there eyes open, there is a $500 reward for anyone who can help me get it back.

When I go pick up games, I usually come back with 50-100, take a photo, post on Facebook, most people don't realize this is expensive stuff.
Not many people that I've opened up with about prices or anything, I don't enjoy people much so I'm extremely picky with who I open up with, so that narrows it down a lot.
I don't have any kind of insurance, just renting from a new place the past several months, never thought anyone would break in and steal games, or at the very least if it did happen, I never thought they'd go for TurboGrafx, its quite the obscure, unheard of system.
Nothing has popped up yet and its been nearly a week.
With my Super Nintendo games there was an ogre battle game with a torn piece off the label, secret of mama, demons crest, earthbound, mega man x3, tons of great stuff, NES had all mega mans, castlevanias, Zelda's, dragon warriors, even an English translated final fantasy 3, Bucky o hare, just too much to list, great collection though, if I saw it in the wild I'd recognize it, thanks for all the well wishing, I hope I catch this fucking cunt and regain my passion.

I've been checking buy and sells, pawn shop pages, kijiji, craigslit, eBay pages for the past five days, nothing yet.
I always have people over, ever since I was young I was the dude obsessed with gaming, I know its someone I was close to, no stranger breaks in, sees wall after wall of games, then goes for TurboGrafx, I had some shitty Xbox, Wii, and ps2 stuff they left, they didn't grab any master system, genesis, 32x, no 64, GameCube, nothing, they specifically went for my favorite shit, I'm always bragging about TurboGrafx and NES.
Its gonna be hard to move fifty TurboGrafx games at once at a pawn shop without someone stumbling across it, I just want it back, don't care about anything else really.
#14
It wasn't insured, I'm kicking myself for that now, didn't think anyone would break down the door and walk away with like 600 games, blew my fucking mind.
Well because its theft of over $10,000 the police seem to enjoy the case, apparently a list of my stuff with all the serial numbers are sitting in many of the pawnshops, but in case the person was trying to get rid of it through a private seller I figured spreading the word here might help, its kind of hard to find a Turbo Duo with 50 games sitting in the wild, and if there are collectors here from Vancouver it may only be a matter of time before they stumble across it out of nowhere, my fingers are crossed.
Fuuuuuuck.
#15
I've got a French Bonk 3 manual for some stupid reason, is that supposed to be more rare or something?
#16
Hey guys, last Wednesday my house was broken into and they stole $13,000 worth of my collection, I'm completely fucking devastated, it was my life's work, and basically my only passion
I'm writing this because whoever did this is in British Columbia, I live near Vancouver, and if they try and sell it chances are it will pop up there.
50 TurboGrafx games, a Turbo Duo, I have the box with matching serial numbers, also taken was my Dreamcast with about 40 games, my Super Nintendo with about 150 games, my Wii U, and both my NES in box with around 400 titles.
If anyone knows or sees anything words can't describe how much I would appreciate it, I lost a huge part of my life with this.
Should be weird to see 50 TurboGrafx games and a turbo duo pop up in the wild in Vancouver so I thought I'd just let you all know in case there is a nice person out there who may have seen or heard something.
Thanks for your time.

Very cool stuff, my girlfriend absolutely loves Devils Crush, Blazing Lazers, Bonks Revenge, I try to get her into more, she nearly beat ys book I and II, but then I showed her Xenoblade chronicles and she hasn't touched it since lol. :o

Signed Henry Rollins is fucking sick, Black Flags album Damaged is fucking perfect.
Before I was collecting TurboGrafx, I only knew the name.
Four years ago I started collecting anything I could find a good deal on for kijiji, at the time I was living in Calgary.
Saw an add for TurboGrafx with twenty or so games for $140, needless to say I ran like the fucking wind.
The dudes system was boxed, had a boxed Turbo Stick, all twenty or so games were CIC And CIB, it was ridiculous, mostly great games.
I thought holy fuck, bet that will never happen again, few days later another add went up roughly the same, system, bit this time about fourth games for $160.
I was the first one there for some lucky reason, grabbed them all, all games were CIC, some CIB, some even sealed, a sealed Bonks revenge which I opened and hung the poster on my wall.
So in total about fifty or so different games, all CIC, 25% CIB, two systems one boxed, all for $300, that was easily my best score.
Recently though I got a CIC, North American super system card 3 for only $20, so that was fucking awesome aha, thanks for sharing all the stories guys its fucking fascinating.

Pfffft, who gets pissy about deceased fathers anyways, mines dead and I still fuck him daily.
#21
I want Ebola for Christmas, and maybe a noose.
#22
I am a useless cunt with a low IQ, my mom rapes me and I make midget porn/snuff films.
#23
I never once said in my first purchase it was well under the going rate, you're putting words in my mouth lol.
I use commas because I'm typing on q cellphone and hate using this fucking things aha.
I've admitted several times the prices on my first pick up could have been better had I waited and scoped out deals for awhile lol, I don't understand the point you're trying to get across lol.
#24
Yeah, bit I don't buy online, I scope out deals in the wild, besides my Turbo Duo, and besides my first big initial spending spree with the Bonk three and stuff, I wouldn't have a collection my size without getting decent deals for most stuff I come across, I mean we'd all love to go to a garage sale and find a magical chase for five bucks but it isn't gonna happen, I have a wiping problem.
#25
I never stated it was a sweet dea lol, could have been better, could have been worse, I was just starting out a few months ago, the attitude with some of you people are fucked, if a games going for seventy on eBay, and I buy one for fifty, I'll still have fuckers like you going on about how retarded I was because you searched for months and got it five bucks cheaper, the point is I got good games, I'm enjoying them very much, and you guys are blowing shit out of proportion constantly because my first ever pick up I could have saved money.
#26
Four of those complete aren't easy to come by, and a CIB Bonk 3 is getting up there in price, it was just some local guy, five mint games like that can't compare to nearly $200 for a Blazing Lazers. XD
#27
Holy fucking shit lol, do people actually spend that much on common games lol, like do these ever sell for that fucking price or does the person just keep them up forever and a day lol.
#28
I enjoyed double dungeons, it reminds me of the original Phantasy Star on Master system, I understand that its not the most exciting, or shiny game out there but its great for what it is in my opinion.
#29
Amusing, but defeats the purpose of this poll, most of the votes are going to the sports games too, this poll would be much more badass if they weren't included, it would be interesting to see the choices.
#30
I'm sure the Dragons Curse vote was either an accident or a troll lol.
#31
One day I'll force myself to beat it, a lot of it has to be memorization.
#32
I've got the CIC Raiden Hucard, its not too bad, R-Type fucks with me good though, that damn level with the huge ship, level 3??
#33
The day I can get Air Zonk, and Bloody Wolf, also Splatterhouse, that will be the day my life is complete.
#34
Holy fuck, beautiful score dude, I'm jealous ahaha.
#35
I figure its supply and demand to a degree, supply runs out, demand keeps going up, either because there's nostalgia and/or people love the games/system, or asshole collectors and resellers who buy up multiple copies of rare or uncommon games and wait for the price to go up, I'm sure there's some dickhead sitting on five copies of magical chase somewhere just waiting for prices to go up even higher.
#36
Awesome, thank you, we made it to level four last night before calling it quits.
It felt mediocre, yet still very fun, and holy fuck quite a few continues in that game, I'm assuming it gets really painful near the end aha.
#37
I didn't mind the pipe level, I preferred the bouncing up flowers one, and enjoyed smashing blocks as a means of getting shit loads of one ups.
#38
Finally popped in Raiden, me and my girlfriend are having a blast, what do you guys think of it??
#39
Too much gay sex lol, don't even know where to start, donkeys hurt FYI.
#40
I was just happy to share the cool TurboGrafx stuff I got, that super system card version 3 for $20 is initially why I didn't mind stating the price of everything else I bought, such a good feeling getting something super cheap for a chance, turbo related aha.
#41
Yeah, I am a game collector, what's wrong with that, I play everything I get too, don't collect for the sake of it, I collect because twenty years of gaming has made me happy, its my passion, I love this stuff, there's nothing wrong with collecting, its rare I splurge on top priced games, my last deal I felt very good about, scoring some great stuff.
I take the advice, the constructive criticism just fine, its when people imply that I'm clueless or ruining the hobby that I feel a need to get defensive, we're all on this website for the same reason, we love NEC, why people need to pick each other apart over petty bullshit is the reason this is getting annoying.
#42
In a niche, obscure hobby along the lines of collecting NEC, you'd think there would be less of a classism, or egotistical attitude directed towards those who recently show up, sharing awesome games and being happy about them, in a forum specifically for that purpose, but in a sense being made fun of or shrugged off just seems detrimental to the entire purpose of this thread, and I can't stop making out with my mother.
#43
Wow, that was a hell of an intro, very good read, nice and detailed.
Congratulations for jumping into this awesome system, hopefully you love the place and get all the games you want.
#44
Final Lap Twin is another one I'm excited to finally start, I couldn't get into moto roader, the constant jumping of a vehicle drove me nuts.
#45
Nice, I just picked up Y's III, I'm waiting to finish Neutopia first though aha.
#46
I've also come to a similar conclusion lol, never share prices unless you get a stupid good deal aha.
I'll throw some pictures up tomorrow
#47
Actually some guy two hours away was selling off his collection randomly so I snatched it CIB with a Complete in box Valis II, Valis III, Bonk III, Y's Book I and II and Legendary Axe II, that was a great day aha. :p
I've only been collecting for four years, only nostalgia I had was NES, SNES and Genesis until I started collecting.
#48
Ahahaha. XD
I enjoy my Bonk 3, got the first two years ago and loved them, finally snagged a three, doesn't hold as much nostalgia for me but it was more of the same.
I prefer two the most, and I agree, big Bonk wasn't executed as well as he could have been but it was still a good game, to me anyways.
#49
I'd gladly throw pictures up, but I constantly get, file too big, or not correct kind of file, drives me ape shit aha.
I know, I lucked out with that card, so stoked the shit head quickly scoped eBay.
