I prefer the taste of diet colas, but all other root beer/fruity/citrus drinks are a toss up; some of 'em taste better unleaded, some of 'em don't. Since I'd rather not be a fat bastard and don't taste a huge difference between the two, I almost exclusively drink diet sodas.

I actually like Fresca a great deal. There's a Peach Fresca that only comes in a can (by me at least) too that is seemply deevine- that stuff has artificial sweetener.

Has anyone tasted the new Red Bull Cola? It is "all natural" and grown in the jungle or something. I tried a sip or two last night since my GF had a can. It was sweet, sweeter than Pepsi which makes me like it even less. She liked it but I'll pass, thanks. One good thing is that it uses real sugar rather than high fructose corn syrup, but other than that it can go to hell.

Depends on how it is worded. Most say "Made from all natural ingredients" Which in the case of bottled water is true, provided it is just that: water. The "all natural" refers to the ingredients that make up the product, not the process in which it was made.

The only thing that might be considered truly all natural in a grocery store is organic fruits and vegetables. Even then it could be argued that because man raised the plant it isn't truly all natural, despite the fact no pesticides or genetic engineering were involved. I'm afraid if you want all natural you'll need to go to the jungle and fight the local wildlife for some TRULY all natural food.

I believe that Tab was reintroduced a year or so ago as an energy drink, so I doubt that it's available in the same regions as plain old cola. But I wouldn't be surprised if sections of the U.S. still had the cola, isn't "New" Coke still available in some places?

Tab energy drink tastes nothing at all like the soda. Like most energy drinks, it's nasty.

and I've heard that some places still carry new coke, but I've never seen it.

Pathmark NoFrills had the best selection of sodas: Pineapple was one of 'em, and you could buy 2 liter (and, for popular flavors, 3 liter bottles). Do they even make 3 liter bottles anymore?

ALSO: Do you remember when all 2- and 3-liter (and smaller 12- 24- oz) bottles had black plastic bottoms? Then they redesigned the base, sans the bottoms? That's technology, folks. My brothers and I always tried to bust off the bottoms, but it was really annoying / not worth it.

I've seen Tab in Manhattan- as late as last year... as for the plastic bottoms of soda bottles- the urban legend I've heard was that they stopped using them as they were a good place for cockroaches to seek asylum

I'd drink energy drinks if A. They didn't taste so horrible, and B. I had any faith they would actually give me energy. Apparently I'm one of those people which caffeine either has no effect on me or makes me sleepy, go figure. I guess it would be useful if I actually had trouble sleeping, but since that isn't the case they are useless to me.
