10/31/2023: Localization News - Dead of the Brain 1!

No, NOT a trick, a Halloween treat! Presenting the Dead of the Brain 1 English patch by David Shadoff for the DEAD last official PC Engine CD game published by NEC before exiting the console biz in 1999! Looks like the CD-Rom player is not the one for the PCE but the one for the PC-88 by NEC, judging by the color and by the name (cd-rom instead of cd-rom2).

Good catch!

Better get an AC adaptor for that and test it before you sell to someone and they get pissed.
