2/13/2025: Localization News - Cosmic Fantasy 3-4!

Rather earth-shattering news in the PC Engine / TurboGrafx-16 community: Cosmic Fantasy 3 & 4 has been officially localized to English by Edia 30 years later for the Switch! Hard to believe! I know their script quality is poor given the 1&2 port but still good to see.

Well, since the switch to all-digital TV for over the air broadcasting in USA, my TurboVision has gone "dark". Can anyone say what usefulness it might have in 2010 and beyond? I hate to just let it sit on the shelf.

Thanks for any thoughts on the issue.

Only high-powered broadcasters had to switch to digital, so there's still a few low-power broadcasters out there that are still pumping out an analog signal.  Maybe there's one in your area that you can tune in to.

Failing that, you can always use the video-in port or get one of those wireless a/v things and hook it up to a cable box or some other video source.

I'm sorry, but it is now useless. If you are going to waste your time hooking it up to your cable, you might as well watch cable on your tele and save your eyes. I hope you enjoyed it when it was functional as now it can only be used as a paper weight or act as a benign tumor when connected to your TE.

I'm not sure about the whole U.S., but here in Cali it seems to be[fully digital]. Well, unless you find 3 Spanish channels to be television. heh.

But you can get one of these, connect it to your cable box, and tune your Express to the corresponding channel.  Then you won't miss any of the action when you have to go get the mail, take a restroom break, get a snack, etc.  It's totally handy... at least until the cost of AAs forces you into bankruptcy.

Hell no. There are many uses for the TurboTuner:

1) I fully extend the antenna on the train and complain about the "poor reception" whilst fidgeting with TurboTuner.
2) 4 out of 5 tri-athletes prefer TE + TT combo (increased upper-body training).
3) 2 out of 3 New Jerseyans use TE as a monitor using Video-In on TT. Personally, I love playing SCD games, on my DUO, using the TurboExpress as a monitor.

It wasn't really all that useful in the 90s, IMO.
