90% of the time, when a deep/ interesting conversation is going on in chat, some ass-dick jumps in and says 'hey guys' or 'what is MSR?' then leaves and never says another thing!!

Can someone put a stop to this?

I voted "Fuck no" because I'm probably the #1 offender. I can count on one finger the amount of times I've actually stuck around for a conversation after making a comment in the shoutbox over the past year.

I've noticed that sometimes when I enter the shoutbox I will eventually turn into mist and dissapate away... only to rematerialize several days later.

Never bothered using the chatbox -- seems like there's too much lag between what people say.

And fuck, I haven't used irc in like... 15 years. I'll give it a shot, but the shoutbox has the huge advantage that... well, it's right there -- no fiddling around needed
