Me too but his reviews are almost nonsensical but entertaining for sure. I sent him a bunch of neo geo stuff, mostly my doubles. I never miss an episode.

People,have been bugging mark to review more TG16/PCE games etc for a long time now.Once he got a donation he was able to 'which seems to be,how he reviews most retro games these days.

Yup the coregrafx is a borrow he mentions it in the review.He could,buy a duo but i think his $ is tied up in the arcade cabs.

yeah I heard him mentioning about he borrowed the core and that it has go back to its owner. but seriously, it doesn't cost all the world, and he has far more unuseless but expensive stuff in his shelter ;)

I do not like Classic Game Room. Sorry. I tried to, but he has way to many biased reviews. I also hate his voice. I also have a shitty voice and I sure wouldn't want to watch/hear myself on youtube.

Yeah not a fan either. I've seen a bunch but always wish I had my life back after I watched it. I don't understan why his channel is so popular. I don't think he's amusing/informative/entertaining at all and him bitching about getting a loaner and having to return it two episodes in a row was really shitty.

Not a fan of CGR either.
Maybe what others find in him as a type of enthusiastic reviewer, I tend to find his manner quite irritating.

You can buy a CoreGrafx shipped for the price of a new release game at a retail store. CoreGrafx and white PCE systems are so cheap that it's not worth shipping both ways to lend one, as you could just buy one for not much more than the cost of all the shipping. It'd be cheaper to just buy one if you're dealing with Canada Post.

I've been a long time fan of CGR, but now that he's reviewing PCE material it's a bittersweet feeling. His show gets so many views it's inevitably going to even further increase the cost to purchase obey.

His latest review of Jackie Chan's Action Kung Fu (

made me lol more than once, and now I'm pretty sure I'll never be able to pick up even the PCE version for a reasonable price.

And yeah, he's not impartial for sure, and I don't always agree with his reviews, but regardless, he's a great reviewer, definitely at least one of the best on Youtube.

donate that shit to me instead, I'll make opionated videos. I'm tired of all this suggestion members here should donate to these youtubers, reviewers, ect. when they have money to but shit on thier own. How about he takes some of the money he gets from his youtube channel and buys his own. why should the good members here bear the burden for others. I'm sure he's an agreeable guy and all, but what makes him a better recieptent then any member here that can't affoard a Duo?

Mark posts a review pretty much every single day, you know, and the quality level is consistent (in the main channel; the "CGR Undertow" subchannel with those other guys is mixed in quality). Most videogame Youtube channels definitely do not get anywhere remotely near that volume of content, not unless they're connected to a major website... he has both volume and quality, a very rare combination.

I owned a 1989 Ford Festiva L (burgundy red) when I lived in CA. I loved that golf cart (very little maintenance, great gas mileage). The only reason I sold it was because I could only tow one vehicle across the country.

ON TOPIC: The CGR guy isn't a serious reviewer...he has refined (dare I say "perfected") his shtick to the point where he is consistently amusing to me. Some of the aspects of CGR that annoy others (for example, he repeats himself all the time) have grown on me...and I admit that there are FAR WORSE THINGS out there. As entertainment, I like CGR. Yup, I like him.

That said, I really don't like the ostentatious display of materialism in CGR. Mr. CGR does not need to impress me with his cavernous hangar chock-full of vehicles and video game paraphernalia. By all means, show me the game and hardware when it is relevant (I like that), but that's it. Many scenes in the show feel like pap from ~~MTV~~ CGR CRIBS...

DISCLAIMER: I haven't watched his PCE episodes.

This CGR guy doesn't seem to have any journalistic knowledge, credentials, or ability. He doesn't do simple background research on many of his topics, his shares his opinions and sometimes misinformation is all. That is not journalism.

edit: oh I see he no longer prefaces his videos with that "A Journalistic Review" nonsense.
