Longest ride....Plainfield IL to Brunswick GA.  1 stop for 4 hours just south of Memphis TN couldnt stay awake.  Worked all day and left the house at 6pm.  That long of a ride.....no bike is comfortable but my butt hurt far more than anything.

As far as your brotherhood?  I didnt buy a bike or any other vehicle for brotherhood.  You want brotherhood and need a bike to get it, thats fine thats your choice.  Dont criticize others becuase you think it isnt right.

Are you kidding me?  seriously your looking at a mirror on this one.  Your going to try to tell me Harley riders are pulling all the little stunts on the highway like your rocket fanboys are?  I dont see harleys doing 160 down the highway with shorts on.  Handling?  Have you tried to DMV test with a rocket?  They barely make the slolom without laying it down.  I know I passed it.  Its not just 20 year olds on rockets either, its all ages.   It seems to me you just have an issue with guys riding next to each other (rockets do it a lot around chicago), load pipes (rocket fanboys do that one too) and ape hangers.

I dont see rocket owners raking their frames or stretching their swingarms themselves, they go buy them on the interwebs.  Harley owners have to make ours.  I have over 100 hours of welding in my bike.  I did my work, not some schmuck in a shop.  My Rear fender is my design and its not some fender I bought and drilled holes into claiming it as mine.  I raked my frame, fabricated all the mounts for every peice.  The headwork in my bike and all the top end work is all my work, I spent the time on a bench not in a catalog.  for every 1 of me, there are 400 little rocket owners who cant work on their own bike.  You might want to take the time to learn about the half of the community you know so little about.

All I see rocket owners doing is buying windshields, Buying swingarms, polishing a frame, buying bolt on exhausts and calling it a bike they built.  Let me see your list of fabricated parts or bikes you built.  I want to see what you consider building.  Show me your built projects automotive related.

Second, I don't give two shits about skills or what people ride. My beef is with the macho posturing and hyper-consumerism of Harley riders. The non-pretentious 2% of Harley owners are fine by me.

Let's be clear: the weak-minded maggots buying bikes for brotherhood are Harley riders. No one else gets buried in goddamn $10,000 coffins emblazoned with a motorcycle logo. No one else spends as much on stupid-looking brand-name clothes and accessories as on their bikes. The reason Harley riders are dicks is because they're so insecure they need an exclusive club to feel good about themselves.
 
As for the rest of your post, stop taking things so personally. Other than your nonsensical justifications for apehangers and not wearing a helmet, I don't have any judgments about you. I'm talking about stereotypes, what I've encountered, and Harley riders in general.

If someone drops $20,000 on a bike and they're a rookie and they're not mechanically minded, I don't care. It's when they do all of that and act like the biggest asshole on the road that they become a dirtbag. For Harley riders, brand whoring and macho self entitlement are inseparable.

I hate it when cars/motorcycles/joggers are impatient, rude assholes and pass me on steep hills. It's dangerous and illegal to cross the double-yellow, especially on a hill.

The same thing used to happen to me on my moped, but I thought things would change when I upgraded to a real machine. Oh well.
