Get the relatively dirt cheap PCE version.  It plays better anyway.

The US version is missing the trivia question bonus rounds, making it impossible to score high enough to unlock all the monsters.  There are no differences in the fights themselves.

The best I've done is end most fights very quickly and about 2/3 of 'em without taking any damage (the rest with very little damage), and yet still not scored high enough to unlock the last two.  I'm close to getting Mothra, so a 100% perfect game might do the deed, but there's no way I can see to get an extra 50k to open up Super MG.

That doesn't sound very nice, I wonder if the localization team had any idea what they were doing. Think I might just burn it for now, that is, when I get a new Plextor, until I find it for cheap, if ever.
