What conspiracy theory do you think is true?

While not exactly a conspiracy theory, I wouldn't be surprised if United Flight 93 (the one that crashed in PA) was shot down by US fighter jets. I have nothing to substantiate this but I can understand why it could happen and it would be better than that jet crashing into whatever it was originally planning on crashing into. But telling people that it was shot down instead of crashed due to the passengers revolting probably would not sit well with most. But again I'm not saying that's what happened, just that it wouldn't surprise me.

Do I think Lee Harvey Oswald shot Kennedy? Yes. Do I think he worked alone? No, he definitely had help in planning the event. Was he the lone gunman? I believe so, yes.

I hate this one so much, because it's so narrow-minded. Conspiracies [real and imagined] have been around since the beginning of history, and people all over the world jump to bad conclusions with shifty evidence. The CIA did not invent all of that.

In the modern world, the term "conspiracy theory" and all its connotation of weirdo kooks was in fact created by the CIA. The primary purpose of the CIA is not spying, it's what is called COINTELPRO, the seeding and undermining of targets, including those in the United States.

The FBI also engages in COINTELPRO as a large part of its program. Practically every public "extremist" group is wholly run by the FBI for either honeypot or false flag operations.

Don't be so quick to accept the official story of an event, especially when it is emotionally charged and is used to sway political opinion on an issue.

Man, what a topic!  Like gentlegamer said, conspiracy "theory" is an ugly term and to say which ones you THINK are true is much different than those that those you can PROVE to be true.  (For instance, it's quite easy to PROVE that JFK was not shot by a lone gunman.)  Sadly, conspiracies are nothing new and in fact seem to be the way the power elite handle their daily business of managing the world population.

fwiw, Joe you are right - it was not plucky passengers fighting terrorists that brought down Flight 93.
