Everyone on the planet was expecting this. Sparkster will never be in there because only a few people on this forum and about 5 others know who he is. Alex Kidd should be in there along with Shinobi, Space Harrier and any relevant videogame character ever.

Dammit Kitsunexus, I was hoping to get away without a Sonic-in-Super-Smash-Bros. thread....ARGGG!! (I'm totally not into the game).

I did watch the video though and loved how Sonic was kicking Mario's ASS.

whats worst is that dumb olympics game. Why would nintendo think that mario has a chance against sonic in any athletic test. Mario is just a fat italian

This I am surprised about. I thought you would be into this game, and less into games like Quake Wars.

C'mon, I knew this would happen more than 6 months ago. Sega whores out everything they can these days and Sonic in SSB would be an obvious, popular choice. Everyone was discussing it back then and I posted somewhere that this would happen.
