You never know. I was running a few mySQL chat instances last year that were hacked. The ISP was Russian and all they did was disable the phpNuke interface and royally screw up the folders on the server. It was fun getting them back and operational...

It's hard to speculate but obviously it was caused by some sort of script involving the Shout Box.  I would think that someone would have to know we have a Shout Box to implement the hack unless there is some sort of public listing of installed Shout Boxes somewhere on the web.  So I imagine whatever happened was from someone who was familiar with the site. 

Still just speculation.

Wait, tell me more! Thankfully, I don't think I witnessed the worst of nintega's offenses. But, to find out that he is in my fine state of NJ is truly disappointing. Hopefully, he's not in the northeast (that's where us elitist snobs are located ), and from the less desirable areas.

I remember this from glancing over it on the ninny thread in FS. Not sure if he has the brainpower to do something like this, though.
