2/13/2025: Localization News - Cosmic Fantasy 3-4!

Rather earth-shattering news in the PC Engine / TurboGrafx-16 community: Cosmic Fantasy 3 & 4 has been officially localized to English by Edia 30 years later for the Switch! Hard to believe! I know their script quality is poor given the 1&2 port but still good to see.

Here's some console porn for ya.  Some of you may have seen some of these in the past.  But much has been added.  All photographs by me.

Some of those belong to BlueBMW and myself (LaserActives, SuperGrafx and Jaguar).

Those look great, Joe. I really like the lighting used for the Jag shot. And the NES looks amazing.

Nando

Jugbug

Nice shots of equally nice condition systems.  Did any of those photos get touched up, or is what we see what you got?

turbokon

Nice but what about the handhelds?
Turbo fan since 1991 after owning my first system.

Well then, I must commend both you and Blue as well for your fine-looking hardware. How friendly of all of you to share consoles. Guess it's better than sharing wives or needles :P

Yeah, this is great photography, but...who wants a picture of a SNES? I mean, I absolutely LOVE the SNES, but I play the system with a paper bag over the top of it usually. So ugly.

Joe Redifer: Do you own a...Wonder Swan? New Neo Geo Pocket? PC Engine?

A Super Famicom is a lot more photogenic. A beautiful console, that one. :)

Over 9,000 for each SNES picture so far, I guess.  Not gonna play fanboy when deciding which console I take a picture of.  I'd love photograph a Super Famicom, though.  Super sexy machine.

No. No (I have a Neo Geo Pocket Color though, just not a brand new Neo Geo Pocket non-color like you suggest).  And no.  I also do have a DS, 3DS, GameBoy Advance and PSP which I have considered taking pics of, but I'd want to show a game screen and that would probably be a pain.  I have thought of taking multiple exposures so the game screen would show up clearly.

Nando

I hope you get to shoot more consoles in the future.

My favorites are the extreme close-ups: TG-CD display, Sega-CD lights, Genesis Volume & Headphone Jack, etc. :pcgs:

By "New Neo Geo Pocket" I don't mean a brand new machine, I mean the MkII NGPC. The only official name SNK ever gave it was "New" although fans call it stuff like "slimline". It's a very nice looking machine. I like the yellow one.

Joe Redifer

Hmmm... don't think I've seen one of those.

Frank_fjs

I've always referred to them as the slimline too, didn't know they were officially called a MKII.

Can't believe you don't have a PCE!! I can send you one if you ever need one for the show or something, I should have a couple kicking around. You just use a region-modded TG-16 right?
