10/31/2023: Localization News - Dead of the Brain 1!

No, NOT a trick, a Halloween treat! Presenting the Dead of the Brain 1 English patch by David Shadoff for the DEAD last official PC Engine CD game published by NEC before exiting the console biz in 1999! I helped edit/betatest and it's also a game I actually finished in 2023, yaaay! Shubibiman also did a French localization. github.com/dshadoff/DeadoftheBrain

I think it's great that you're using Chris Bucci's reviews for your database. They're some of the best reviews I've seen on Youtube for any console.

I concur, even if he didn't love Wonderboy III: Monster Lair as much as I do. :)

Yep, he's one of the most professional reviewers I've come across, and particularly suitable as his opinions seem to closely mirror mine.

Any plans of adding Hawaiian Island Girls, Bikini Girls, The Local Girls of Hawaii, Implode, and Meteor Blaster DX to the bible, or are they not 'official' enough?

Hmm. I don't have much information on those girly ones (in fact I've never heard of them), are they unofficial in the way of 'Games Express' titles? (I'll do a search myself when I have 5 mins spare).

The others are fan produced games and I've considered this before. At the moment my opinion is on the side of them being too far from official and 'of the time' to be listed, but I'm happy to hear arguments to add them.

Not even that. They're just CD+Gs.

They're similar in function, but they were programmed specifically for the Duo, booting like a game rather than through the CD+G option of the CD player.  CD+G's probably would've been better, as then you'd at least have some tunes to enjoy while ogling pixelated boobies.

My master of the obvious thoughts on the matter:

1. Ghouls n Ghosts - A popular "classic" franchise that folks are interested in, across platforms.
2. Adventure Island - Ditto
3. Dracula X - Ditto, plus Castlevania fans are ravenous for info on everything :)
4. Ankoku Densetsu - Hmmmmmm, confined to the PCE universe, this must be generating interest simply because it is a damn fun game.
5. Winds of Thunder - shoot-em-up fans know that the Sega-CD version can't compare.

Which one are you talkin' aboot?  I'm still seeing the quick reply box and the normal reply button and resulting screens.

Seems to be an IE thing, when the reply input box (not quick reply) gets full enough to display a scrolly bar, I have some issues with clicking at the bottom of the text as the view keeps bouncing back up again.
