Beeshuuuuuu!

I've got a Zoom controller from them and that thing looks ridiculous, but they did some decent peripherals.

What's the Nintendo Power paperwork and letter about?

Apparently, the person had written to them and asked a question to which they responded by sending a catalog of game paks. There are also a couple of old kiosk brochures too. Pretty cool really.

Found an FDS w/Ram Adapter unit at a decent price.

Apparently these also work on some (most?) Famiclones.

Busy with some testing now. :P

So now not only am I not only getting an excellent source of 90's animation and art, but also glimpses into the fighting styles, fantasy literature, and education. Did you know in the 90's there were 9 planets? And they had a dinosaur species called the Brontosaurus?

My 8 Bit Music Power cart came in finally! It's a really rad music compilation on a real famicom cart. There's 11 tracks with awesome visual, mini games and you can play with the different sound channels. It sold out already so glad I preordered! Right now my kids are playing with it and wont change the song from the one I like lol

I think it was limited to 1000 copies but there's a bunch on ebay (for more).

Quote from: Medic_wheat on 02/10/2016, 03:00 PMInteresting. I thought the Retron 5 couldn't play games when they where attached to something else like the 32X or Super Gameboy. I guess they updated it to let you do more with it.

FYI GameStop is selling these at $100 where most other places sell it for $140-160.

I don't have one yet. Might get one from GameStop.

Or continue my search for a used one at like $50.
At 100.00 it seems reasonable, does it have any video/audio output options other than HDMI?
HDMI only, but I have one of those cheap downscaler converters (HDMI2AV). Somewhat surprisingly, it works fine with it when tested on my old composite-only CRT TV.

Yeah we're going to be running the Steam version at this year's MGC. Hopefully we'll have the dual monitor config up and running smoothly. I was just unaware there was a physical release of ANY kind.

I tried it in a room that's decently lit. Unsurprisingly, it really needs a darkened room to be effective.

Original Xbox Pickups - Stubbs the Zombie & House of the Dead III by xcrement5x, on Flickr

So the local gaming store was doing a Valentine's promo which is 20% off local co-op games and I had some credit to spare so I grabbed theses guys:
Stubbs the Zombie: Rebel Without a Pulse
The House of the Dead III

I'd gotten extra lightguns for the Xbox at the thrift awhile back and had been searching for HotD III at a decent price, so this was a no brainer and is in great shape.  Not much to say about this one except classic zombie shooting.

Stubbs was one I always kept meaning to pick up but have had a hard time finding so I decided to bite the bullet and pick it up there too.  It's been rising in price over time and I figured now was a good time to jump on it before it got worse.

Both are complete and in very nice shape so I was very happy to have them at a decent price.

Found this at a pretty good price. To bad the box is a tattered shell.

I liked the morta kombat DC cross over. And finding this CE was a nice surprise.

Power blade for the famicom.

And the show black sails looked interesting. Will find out over the weekend.

IMG

And here is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure. Transformers Kiss Players. For those infamilior with the spin off google it. For those in the know. Well. Bs bs bs. I like the figure both the girl and optomus. Also the girl is a wonderful mix of G.I Joe and Transformers.

Will probably pick up the other two figures from this line later. This was the more expensive one I wanted to knock out of the way first.

I have more goodies in bound. Some turbo related and some just fun stuff.

Medic_wheat

IMG

Almost forgot about this pick up. Found it for $30. Which I was holding out for an affordable copy. I only wanted it as t was a variant cover by Fiona Staples whom I enjoy her art as I am a rabid Saga (image) fan.

This comic series picked up in price when tumors of a tv show started circulating. Had to wait over. A year when the tv show was no longer a thing and the price of he comics dropped to more affordable prices.

Negative.  For Medic you have to type it out like this:

Socks, Boots, Black, Cushioned Sole, 3 each.

Make sure, they're all laid out dress right dress.

I honestly do enjoy it. Many of my co workes including my mentor verbally declared their hatred for their job.

But where I currently am at in my career is exactly where I wanted to be since 2008. Why that date?  I did an internship with the VA's VR&E program in my home town. I was elated to learn that in my chosen area of study I could potentially work with fellow Veterans and help them towards employment services.

I imminently signed up for graduate studies in psychology and graduated quickly. I would have graduated on May 2009 BUT I ended up being deployed to Iraq once again. It was my last deployment prior to my 8 year contract ending.

I then worked for the state of Texas as a VR Counselor for three years upon graduation with the end goal to obtain a VA position in the same field.

Last May I achieved that goal and have been employed as a GS-11. This coming May I will be off my one year probation and jump to a GS-12 pay grade.

I know many here take slight jabs at my posting. Spelling and so forth. I have and could explain how my ramblings of incoherent dribble could constitute myself as to holding a degree let alone multiple degrees from a University.  However unless someone truly wants to know I'll refrain from at this time.

To answer your initial question. Yes. I enjoy my job as I am able to continue serving fellow Veterans with their rehabilitation to civilian life and employment.

Sometimes I feel overwhelmed as my job feels like quick sand when I feel have to many loose ends to tie up. I mean heck on averages I meet with 4-5 new Veterans applying for benefits where entitlement determination and die processes is needed the same day I met with them. On top of the 163 Veterans currently on my case load. 1/3 who require monthly contact face to face and the rest every six months.

This is not to mention the amount of money and goods that are delt with daily who Veterans attending training hat need to be authorized verified and submitted.

However these are simply aspects of the job that does not include the psych social and therapeutic counseling I proved my Veterans for a 45 minute to an hour or longer session.

I have had on one day a Veteran threaten to find my home of residence and kill me then another Veteran offer me weed "the hook up" imminently after ending the threat of violence. (Of which security was involved he was found to be carrying a K Bar and he is now required to be escorted on and off this facility. Oh and I closed his case as he was clearly not compliant with MH Treatment and was not feasible for employment services.

Then there was the Veteran I meet with today for application. Great guy. We Rouen out we where in the same part of Iraq the same year (he was EOD Navy). Turns out we both go to the same TBI clinic as well. Granted my two instances of experiencing a TBI pail in comparison to his. He was breath and clearing a home made bomb lab that went off as his team entered. I at lest got to be in a vehicle that cushioned my decent back to earth when the IED went off under my butt.
