@GTV reviews the Cosmic Fantasy 1-2 Switch collection by Edia, provides examples of the poor English editing/localization work. It's much worse for CF1. Rated "D" for disappointment, finding that TurboGrafx CF2 is better & while CF1's the real draw, Edia screwed it up...

Legend of Hero Tonma barely even gets my approval as a game.  It just barely passes, but grows old quickly and has insipid music.

man.  I like the music.  Its all wobbly and mysterious.

game does get kinda boring after awhile though.
This "max-level forum psycho" () destroyed TWO PC Engine groups in rage: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook "Because Chris 'Shadowland' Runyon!," then the other by Aaron Nanto "Because Le NightWolve!" Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together... Both times he blamed the Aarons in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged, destructive, toxic turbo troll gang!

Turbo D

I remember getting pissed off in some mountain level in Tonma. Since I wasn't really into it, i quit playing it. haha. I should pick it up and give it another run though; it is an arcade port after all! That being said, I voted for le Dynastid Beedle Hero based on the same reasoning Nat possessed. I've also always been a wonderboy nerd, so ya. heh. (sings wonderboy level music from SMS in head)

Tonma is a pretty fun game, don't get me wrong. Ironically, it gets easier the further you progress. I think the first skeleton boss is the hardest one in the game. It's too short to get boring for me, really, and I actually really like that trademark IREM tinkly music.

The tunes in the later levels of Tonma are OK, but the first level music just really irks me.  Sounds like something you'd hear in a 4-year old's jack-in-the-box toy or something.  The melody is ass.  Also, it doesn't make use of any of the manly sounds that the PCE can make.

tonma is cool, DH just much cooler!

nick woods (or at least SYN) BGM of DH alone beats already the whole tonma thing.

Sega does what Nintendon't, but only NEC does better than both together!^^

I voted Hero Tonma, but figured I'd wait for everyone to argue it out before I commented.

He's a badass.

The first level music is so high pitched only dogs can hear it.

Tonma is not a bad game really. I used to enjoy playing it in the arcades, though never got very far. It has some quite pretty graphics in places but yes, the tinkly Irem sound does let it down a bit.
