TailChao, whats that new Lynx game you are working on all about?. Since you already played tribute to Zonk, with Zaku, could the new one be a Bonk type game for the Lynx  [-o<!?
Or did i hear something about a Metal Gear Solid type game  :)...
A Zaku port to the PCE would be incredible too!!! Ever tought about doing a PCE game?
#52
Yeah, thanks Byron.
The console, boxed, i won in an auction for only 20 euros!, i dont even have an idea about how rare the loose controllers can be. I wonder if some other Mac controllers are compatible with the Pippin.
#53
I landed a really cheap Bandai Pippin, but came with no controller. So, looking to get one.
Thanks!
#54
Hey, also interested in trading for a Bandai Pippin controller. But take it easy guys, stop flooding the thread with offers !
#55
Looking to trade 4 Epoch SCV games, they are Kung Fu Road, Super Baseball, Mahjong, and Golf. All complete, in decent condition.
Looking for a GB Everdrive, or a Famicom Everdrive... flashcarts in general (already have for MD, SNES, PCE, MSX2, SMS) or some cheapo adapter that allows the Sharp X68000 to display on a non multisync monitor (i know most are super expensive though), cheap hardware for the Sharp X68000 and FM Towns.
I was asking for 75 dollars for the 4 games, so i would pay the diference in price.
I live in Mexico.
Thanks!
#56
OK, thanks a lot for the info 98pacecar.
#57
Thanks 98pacecar. So the games right now are rarer than i tought :). Now i feel even luckier that at least i have one title for it .
I guess that since you were selling your loose copies at 85 dollars some time ago, i should expect to pay about 100 dollars now for a loose game, right?, and thats in the rare case that a game pops up. Thats a bit more money than i had right now, hehe.
Hey, at least i will always have African Monopoly .
#58
I see. Thanks.
#59
Flying Dragon, thats one of the interesting ones, at least to me, since i love platformers. That one and the other platformer called C.U.G., or something like that, are at the top of my wanted list.
Just to give myself an idea, how much did you pay for them?
#60
You got 3 games, BlueBMW?. Thats nice, which are they?
#61
Oh, it was a joke?, i was actually gonna look for the Konix stuff i have lying around on my closet  :P.
Sorry i dont have any decent equipment to take screenshots, and the game i have isnt interesting at all, its just a table game. But at least it gives me the chance to actually try the system, i guess.
#62
Over a year ago, i got my hands on a somewhat cheap super a'can console, and i quickly managed to get my hands on a decent priced extra control pad, and the game African Monopoly, all from EBay. But i havent been able to get my hands on another title since.
Anyone willing to sell me one game?
#64
Would you ship it to Mexico?. Postal code 83120.
#65
Just to give myself an idea, how much was the modded model 1?
#66
Its like some evildoer is smashing SGXs boards!
#67
Thanks for the heads up Arkhan, i will stay away from those POS 1541 then  :D.
I am actually enjoying the C64 quiet a bit, it may not have the greatest library of games ever, but i am having fun with a bunch of them.
#68
Yeah, that settles it, i will have to hunt down a disk drive and some original games then. But for now, i will settle with the SD2IEC for a while, at least a bunch of games do work ok.
 Thanks ApolloBoy.
#69
The SGX was the third system i have bought from Ebay, with a disclaimer saying something like: "Untested, i lost all the conections and cant test the unit, but it worked last time i had them".

The other 2 systems i bought like that worked fine, but my luck ran out with this SGX. The others were a SMS 2 PAL, and an Atari 7800, needless to say, the one i really would have liked to work was the awesome SGX  ](*,) !

Although maybe the damage was done while going through shipping. I have received a broken SFC and a FM TOWNS 2 with a cracked CD door (), a Sega Saturn with an out of place cd drive, that were in perfect condition judging by the pics i got before buying them. So, who knows...

But hey, if someone can resurrect it, it is BlueBMW  [-o< !
#70
Darn it, Parallax didnt work either :x!.
Just realised that a lot of games are said not to work through the SD2IEC adaptor,  i have been reading reports that a lot dont work.
So, between the PAL and SD2IEC adaptor compatiblity issues, i am missing on a ton of games  ](*,).

Quote from: BlueBMW on 02/16/2014, 09:58 PMSome progress.... there are a TON of broken traces.... This will be a miracle if it works....
/sgx2_zps578ce386.jpg
Damn that image blows my mind, i cant even imagine how dificult it must be to solder all those cables. Crap, 60 traces and it still doesnt work?
I dont have anything but praise for the BlueBMW, hes one of the nicest guys around. Thanks fo the effort Blue.
#72
Hi Arkhan.
Actually i am just discovering the C64 library, i know there are a ton of games for it, and most arent good, but hey, i kinda like mediocre 8 bit games, hehe.
So far i cant get R Type to run properly, Commandos music runs too fast, Robocop 2, Midnight Resistance and Creatures dont play at all, among others.
But hey, Silk Worm and Cybernoid do work OK, and i am enjoying them hehe.
#73
Hey, i hadnt tought about it. I am gonna check that out. I cant do it myself, but i would guess its gonna be cheaper than importing a PAL one, hehe.
Thanks for the sugestion!
#74
I wanted the PAL C64 to be able to play all the european games at their propper speeds. But, yeah, with the cost of shipping, it just doesnt seem to be worth it, hehe.

wildfruit, thanks for the offer. No trip to London on the horizon, but thanks anyway, hehe.

I think i will have to keep the NTSC C64, thanks guys.
#75
Quote from: wildfruit on 02/13/2014, 07:20 AMI wouldn't want much for it as its a dust collector. I haven't had a chance to weigh it but i think the post woul be prohibitive for example 10 kilo package to us,can is £104 (170usd) 😌
!
That puts it totally out of my league, hehe.
Thanks anyway wildfruit.
#76
Quote from: wildfruit on 02/13/2014, 12:09 AMHi i have one but i think because it is so bulky the cost of shipping would be astronomical
Hi wildfruit, yeah the cost of shipping from the UK would be pretty expensive. Just in case, how much would you ask for the unit?

Quote from: guest on 02/12/2014, 11:00 PMHi!

I trade?

3 (three) Keith courage loose and one mister head of potato.
Haha, sounds like a great deal to me, but right now i dont have any of that, darn it!
#78
Hi, i am thinking about selling my american C64, and buying an european one, but have no idea what they are worth. If anyone here has a PAL one for sale, please shoot me a message. It will take some time for me to sell the american one, in order to pay, though.
Thanks!
#79
I vote for Zonk!
#80
Great idea to put them side by side, fragmare.

Judging from those pics, i like your sprite better than the Sega one. I particulary dont like the ears on the Sega sprite.

Having parallax was cool on Wily Wars, but i prefer the colors and artwork on your version, overall.
Man, it looks so much better than the NES version, its not even funny. Make me wonder what a Rockman game, written from scratch to take full advantage of the PCE, would look like.

As it is, you guys sure are kicking ass!. Keep it up!

Quote from: fragmare on 02/03/2014, 02:03 PMWas dicking around with hi-color megaman tiles this morning and came up with this

fragmare.mindrec.com/megaman02.gif

:)
That looks so sweet!!
I love all the improvements that are going to take place, but there is something, that maybe isnt necesary at all, but i will just throw it out there: Mega Man chiptunes taking advantage of the awesome PCE soundchip. Maybe having an option between CD tracks or the chiptunes. I know its a lot of extra work, hehe, but i have curiosity about how good they could sound.
This project is awesome!
#82
You are gonna improve the rest of the sprites, the backgrounds, and add a bit of parallax too?!, plus the cd soundtrack, no slowdown, and the most imoprtant thing, the NES versions gameplay/timeing ...this is so gonna kick the crap out of the Rockman 1 found on the Sega Genesis.  I hate that version so much, mainly due to the broken gameplay.
You rock Bonknuts!!!
#83
That high color Megaman sprite looks amazing, i had no idea that it could be improved that much...tom and the pce rock  =D>!
I just finished the first Megaman a couple nights ago on the NES, and loved it. So i am really gonna enjoy playing trough it again, with this enhancements.

Still listening to offers. I will try to upload a couple pics later.
To me it looks like what lastcallhall says is doable, soldering wires to replace the traces, but they are so many and so little... i definitely dont have the skill to do so, and electronics workshops around here are so annoying, they have never been able to help me out when it comes to classic consoles.
#88
I have a non working Supergrafx and would like to sell it. I bought it from Ebay last year. The seller was offering the console with nothing else, claiming that he didnt know if it worked at all.

So i sold my white PCE, and a junk Turbo Duo, and ordered all the SGX cables and a SCDROM2.

Unfortunately, the SGX didnt work, i just opened it, and the PCB has a 3 inch crack and a smaller one both in the middle, just below the card slot. The cracks seem to be a single line each, as far as i can see, and cuts all the traces on the right side of the HuC6202 chip. The rest of the unit looks OK.

So what would be the value for one of this?. I am now looking to get a Coregrafx for my Super CDROM2.

Thanks in advance.
#89
Thanks for the reply!
So the guys from that store are selling an incorrect a/c for the SCD2. I hope i didnt damage both consoles using the 9V a/c i received.
#90
Hello guys. A few months ago i bought a Supergrafx and a SCD2 from diferent sellers, both systems without any cables.
So last month, i ordered from http://gamedoctorhk.com, the composite cable, the powersupply for the SCD2, and the cable that goes from the SCD2 to the SG. I am very happy with their service and the quality of the products.
So i made all the connections, but i only get a green screen when i turn the system on. I noticed that the SCD2 power supply says 9V, but on the system itself, it says that it uses a 12V. So i checked the site where i bought them, and they say that the SCD2 uses 9V.
So, is that a mistake from them?, or does it indeed can work on 9V?
Thanks in advance.

Looks great. And Metal Slug graphics running on PCE hardware?, thats a dream come true!
Very promising!

Quote from: Tatsujin on 10/08/2013, 07:40 AMit's all about how it's programmed and the effort behind. from a technical perspective i think road rash is better than any top gears. if top gear is worse on the MD, then probably only because of frowsy work.
Yeah, i also think the MD port of Top Gear is a weak effort from the coders. And agairn, PCE should be able to handle those 2 games at around the same level as the other 2 consoles. Some things might come up better, others might get worse.
#93
Quote from: A Black Falcon on 10/07/2013, 01:41 AMMicro Machines was ported to many platforms, and yes, the CD-i was one of them.
Sucks that the PCE didnt get a port of it though.

As for the PCE doing decent renditions of Top Gear and Road Rash, i dont see why not. Just give it a hucard as big as the carts used on the SFC and MD and it should do a pretty good job, some things might be improved (sprite scaling?, colors) while others might need to be cut. If the SMS did such a nice job with Road Rash, then i dont see why the PCE shouldnt be capable of doing something on the MDs level.

Hello, is the MV-1F still for sale?. How much extra would i have to pay to get it shipped to Mexico, postal code 83120.
Thanks!

PM about the Phantom sent.
#96
Just dont sell them the X68K adaptors we were talking about BlueBMW, hehe, i already have the money and can pay you whenever they are ready.
#97
I would also prefer a Hu Card release just to see the original PCE format kick ass. But we all understand that CD is the easier format to handle. Definitely not on the Supergrafx since this isnt a game that would really show what it could do.
But at the end of the day, whatever format is chosen would be cool with me, as long as there is Bubble Bobble on PCE!
#98
Really?, between 100 and 150 dollars for the console in those conditions?. Thats better than i expected, but i guess that a person that is capable with a soldering iron could leave the unit as good as new.
I was thinking about shipping it to get it fixed, but the shipping costs to send it and then send it back, turned me down. Besides i got a cheap PCE a few months back and i am very happy right now with it.
Anyone interested on it?, i am in Mexico by the way, so that people can calculate the shipping costs all the way to their locations.

Hello. I have a PC Engine Duo that had sound problems. I tried to change the caps myself, but did a lousy job, and a diode thats part of the sound hardware blew up  ](*,) . Also, since opening it up, i think i discalibrated the laser, since now it struggles to play the games, something that wasnt a problem before i opened it up.
So the console plays hucards fine but now seems to need to calibrate the laser and need a complete cap swap allong with replacing a diode, because it plays no sounds.
I have the power source, the A/V cables, the arcade card duo and a loose hucard of Gunhed. No controllers. How much could i get for it?
Thanks i advance.

Looking to trade Rygar and Solomon no Kagi for the japanese Sega Master System. They seem to go for about 30 dollars each, on Ebay.
I am interested on Epoch Super Cassette Vision and Neo Geo titles. I am in Mexico.
