Nope, no bullshit. I have way too many things that just sit on shelves and don't get enjoyed.

The DUO-R doors are ready! They are $25 shipped in the US and $28 shipped for Canada. PM me if you are interested.

Well, after much gnashing of teeth I have finally gotten the DUO-R door the way I want it. The price is the same as the DUO door: $25 shipped in the US and $28 for Canada.  The color match is quite close but since these systems age so differently there is not really any way for me to get it as close as the dark gray on the DUO.  I'll take preorders for two weeks or until I hit some multiple of 10 and then I will do a run. It usually takes about three weeks from start to finish on a run. A big thanks to HailingTheThings and MNKyDeth for helping me test the doors.

These are the frog manuals I have (and no, you can't have them):

IMG

I also have maybe half a dozen bi-curious boxes.
#6
The covers are off the printer and in my hands! The white ones will go out first and the black and gray ones shortly thereafter.

IMG

I'm printing another batch of Turbo Everdrive covers. I will have regular style ones and SuperGrafx compatible covers also. I offer them in PCE white, Turbo Black, DUO gray, and new for this run: DUO-R off white. They are still $16.50 shipped in the US and $18 shipped for Canada. Send me a PM if you are interested in a pre-order.

Looks like I need to move the left side latch peg up just a touch and move the from curve back in just a bit.

Quote from: MasonSushi on 02/01/2016, 04:08 PMI was wondering with all the empty shell that are made now for NES, SNES, N64, Genesis, why cant somebody design a tray that could slide into a standard jewel case that would hold a HU card in place. That way we can put an insert in the back and they should be fairly cheap. I have heard that somebody is making 3D copies, but not how reliable that is or if it is true, I know 3D printing is expensive, so maybe a tray would cost less in the end.

Just an idea that i'm sure that has been brought up before.
You mean like these?

IMG

As opposed to like the black ones?

They'd be maybe a little cheaper to produce, but not much. Probably. I know nothing, though. Oops.
Similar, but with out the pegs. Just the outline of the HU card to keep it from sliding around. I know molds are expensive, but I figured that it might not be so expensive that it couldn't be done. I think paying $2 for a tray insert is fine. Its just hard for me to pay out $8 or more for a replacement case. I am sure they are expensive to produce with 3D printing, but when I can go out and buy a chump game for that same price, get the case and then have trade material with the unwanted game,  its just hard for me to justify. I am sure many think the new cases are cool, I am just wondering if there is a chance on finding a cheaper alternative. That's all. I am not meaning to anger people.
I have gone so far as to model the case and had it formally quoted from several injection molding vendors. From the cheapest place located in the US (with Chinese molds) I would have to buy 10,000 cases up front and then sell them all at $4.32 each just to break even.

That's great. Can you explain what you had to do for the game? Thank you in advance.
If memory serves me there was a promotion where if a friend bought a TG-16 and you "recommended" it to them you both got a free game out of a limited selection. I ended up getting three games (I think) like that.  I know for certain that I got Victory Run and The Legendary Axe like that.  I want to say that I got one other but I cannot remember what it was.

Time to make another batch of everdrive covers! The last group buy went well so I'm going to do it again. They covers fit both the 1.0 version and the 2.0 version both without the USB port. If you have want to use it on a SuperGrafx I have a special version that clears the card lock so you will need to specify it. I can also make blank ones with no wording on the face. The colors available are: black, white, and DUO gray. The price is $16.50 shipped in the US and $18 shipped to Canada. It will take about 3 weeks to make them once the group buy is closed and I would like to get at least 10 orders before I start making them.

Quote from: Nulltard on 08/20/2015, 12:26 PMNo sir, no soldering.  Now that I think about it, though... i'd swapped PCE Pad/Turbo Pad.  You may have to use PCE Tap/Turbo Tap for the cables to work... i don't have a tap here at work to test with so hopefully someone else can chime in.  PCE Taps are super cheap if you get one that is nice and beat up. :D

I did just the opposite to get my 3 button PC Engine controller to work on my Turbo.

I'm about to make more of my Everdrive covers and I always end up running out before everyone gets theirs. This time I'm going to do a group buy for them and get the correct amount. They covers fit both the 1.0 version and the 2.0 version both without the USB port. If you have want to use it on a SuperGrafx I have a special version that clears the card lock so you will need to specify it. I can also make blank ones with no wording on the face. Is your copy of Dungeon Explorer cold? Do you have a cardboard fetish (Nulltard)? Do you just want some free crap to flip on ebay like the dirty, stinking, leach you are? Well you are in luck! I happen to have the very box for the copy of Dungeon Explorer that I purchased in 1990 up for grabs. Why would I part with such an important sentimental item? Well, let me tell you: This box sat in my moms attic for about two decades underneath a mixture of old encyclopedias, GI Joes, and Lego. Needless to say it's far from pristine so I replaced it with a much nice one with no Lego marks on the side. I will also include one of my patented Hunk-o-Styrofoamâ„¢ box straightener outer thingy to help keep it's shape while you caress it gently by the fire on a cold and lonely night.

Quote from: guest on 05/02/2015, 09:48 PMSo jello do you keep the boxes separate from the games then?
I do have some sealed games (duplicats only) but yes, I keep the boxes seperate. I made (make) ridgid foam box inserts to go in the empty boxes to help them hold their shape.

Wut? Two products in the same night? I now have replacement battery doors for the Turboexpress/PC Engine GT ready to ship!  They are duplicates of the stock door and fit exactly like it should. They are color matched as close as I could get it so they should look OK. They are $24.75 plus shipping ($5.25 in the US, more in other places).  I have five ready to go and can make as many as people will pay me for.

Could I have taken any longer to get this done? Man, I need to pick up the pace. Anyway I finally got off my ass and finished up the first batch of DUO card doors.  They are about as close fit and finish as I could possible hope and they should look better than the missing one that is currently on your DUO.  I have FIVE, count 'em, FIVE finished ones and five more that are being dyed as we speak? I can make as many as people want and if this first batch sells well I will stock them for the foreseeable future. How much are they? Welllllll, they are $19.75 plus shipping.  How much is shipping? Welllll, it is $5.25 in the US and who know elsewhere. Pics or it did not happen:

Just in stock: I have a few white (undyed) covers in stock now for those that want to match to their PC Engine.

It's about freaking time: I have the first batch of printed Turbo Everdrive covers available!  I have 10 of these bad boys done and I can make as many things as needed.  They are $18 shipped in the US and a bit more outside of the US. You will get a cover and a reset button.  The cover snaps on the Everdrive; it does not need to be glued but you can if you want.

Holy crap! It's that time again! Up for raffle is the inspiration for '80s Saturday morning cartoon megahit of a completely different name: Pac-Land. This raffle is co-sponsored by some guy I bought this from at a discount and promised to raffle it here. Same deal as the others: You MUST open it an play it and a video of the defiling would be great.  After that you can do with it what you wish. This auction is open to anyone (that I deem fit, even the you losers that keep pestering me to sell those god damn printed parts).  Now is your chance to open your very own new game so enter your name early and often.

Quote from: CrackTiger on 11/03/2014, 01:48 PMPeople attempting to produce new HuCard cases usually say it's too expensive, but rarely get into specifics.

I would be happy to pay $5 per case and am perfectly fine with the simple PC Engine style ones, without the arm holding the HuCard.
Right now at Shapeways an exact duplicate of the Turbografx style back shell costs $34.77 (plus shipping) made out of the white material that I use for the parts that I'm printing.  To print it out of a higher resolution material to get it "perfect" costs $115.91 (plus shipping).
Here is a back case with a separate clip that I had printed a while back out of the high res material.

And last but not least, the Everdrive cover. I'm happy with this version so it is now available.

The best part now is that Shapeways just announced a price cut on this material so they will be a little bit cheaper than expected!

I think I need to radius the top edge of the Everdrive cover to make it look a bit better and to see if it will stop the front cover from curling.  There is a slight bow because of the geometry of the part at the printing process.  Gluing the cover on will fix it but for those that don't want to glue it on I want it to fit properly.

The only thing I would like to change is to see if I can get the color match a bit closer.
