@GTV reviews the Cosmic Fantasy 1-2 Switch collection by Edia, provides examples of the poor English editing/localization work. It's much worse for CF1. Rated "D" for disappointment, finding that TurboGrafx CF2 is better & while CF1's the real draw, Edia screwed it up...

20 1/2 inches by 28 1/2 inches. Nice condition, few creases around the edges and so on, but nothing drastic for its age. Doesn't have any pin holes. As you see its certainly a nice poster if you like anime girls! Obviously pretty rare too, don't see many PC-FX posters around.

Looking for $25 shipped to the US or £16 posted in the UK (I am in the UK) or trades - am after PS1/2 or saturn shmups or shmup related memorabilia or  any PC Engine games I don't have - list here - http://www.pcedaisakusen.net/2/34/110/show-collection.htm

Cheers

Anyway, first of all:

Buy/Sell/Trade / FS: NEC PCE ROM2 AMP
11/20/2007, 01:40 PM
Hi, I've not been on in a while (studying, moving etc - life!) so sorry my 1st post back is this, but I thought it would be a shame if you peeps on here missed it.

Its a shame but space requires that I sell some of my collection. Latest cut is my PCE ROM2 Amp. I bought it from new (sealed) and have only taken it out to have a bit of a play with it and test it (sounds pretty good with the briefcase on it!) and take photos etc.

Box is in fair-good condition apart from where someone has put tape on the opening. Corners are mostly free from crushing and the sides are pretty much dent free. All plastic baggies and cable ties etc are there.

Obviously pretty rare, don't think theres been one on ebay before? And I've not seen many on YJ.

Pics: Lots of big pics so beware!

If you want any more pics let me know.

Looking for £100 PPD in the UK, though I'm open to offers. Collection from Sheffield possible and will knock a bit off the price. Will deliver everywhere else but will need to stick a bit of shipping on top of that depending on the postal method of choice. I think Shipping to the US will probably be £130.

Checkout my ebay for my good feedback and the PAL TG 16 I've got on ebay. http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZoli_lar

Also posted on Assembler forums so 1st offer I recieve gets it.

Don't think there are any decent pics of a ROM Amp on the net so if the mod wants I can donate the rest of them for the Site's gallery?

Anyway if there are no takers, enjoy the pics at least  :-({|=

Cheers!

PC-FX Discussion / GMAKER
06/04/2007, 09:19 AM
A friend of mine has uploaded the image of the Gmaker CD to Wikifortio - http://www.wikifortio.com/489359

My friend isn't too familiar with ISOs and that kind of stuff, he tells me he used "Roxio Creator" to do it so the image may or may not be compatable with everyone else's programs. He also took an Image using Alcohol 120% which made a MDF and MDS files so could upload them if anyone is interested. I'm sure if anyone suggests any other free ISO burning programs then he could do it with that.

Gmaker is a SDK/collection of tools for the PC-FX which is pretty rare, so perhaps this could be of use to some people or just to have a play with.
Compatable with "MS-DOS Ver6.2, Ver5.0A, Windows 3.1 and Windows 95." Presumably the DOS/V and Win/V versions of DOS and 3.1. (Windows 95 > is truely multilingual) Works on Vista so presumably works on 98, 2000, XP etc.

Taken from http://sabre470.wordpress.com/pc-fxga/

QuoteIn 1996 NEC released GMAKER which is a full blown Software Development Kit making possible for enthusiast and/or professionals to develop PC-FX/GA games, here is the official statement from NEC at the time:

"During fiscal year 1996, NEC made further progress in the development of multimedia products...

NEC introduced the GMAKER STARTER KIT software, which, when used with the PC-FXGA game accelerator board, enables the development of software for the PC-FX, NEC's 32-bit video game unit. Providing all the technology and information necessary for anyone with a PC to develop their own software, the kit has opened up to individuals an area previously limited to specialist software houses."

PC-FX Discussion / Anime Freak demos
05/19/2007, 03:26 PM
I don't have any of the Anime Freak discs, but I read somewhere that there are playable demos on it - does anyone have a list of which volumes have which demos on them?

Instead of hunting down the DOS/V version of the PC-FX GA I thought I'd kill two birds and get the PC-98 version so I could get a PC-98 for games etc. I think I've got the later version, the one with the third CD that has a pink cover and some kind of RPG on it.

There isn't much information about about which models of PC-98 are compatable on the internet in english and my Japanese language skills are minimal at the moment (although I'm learning quite well!) so I was wondering if anyone know what model PC-98 I would need?

From what I know it would need C-bus slots (don't know if PC-98s come with any other type of slot?), CD drive, 3 and 1/2 inch floppy drive and Windows 95?

The 'PC98' isn't compatable is it? I think I read somewhere its a different architecture.

Any suggestions would help,

Oli

I've been going on Yahoo Japan a bit recently translating with google - however when you search it turns back to japanese. Does anyone know of any method such as toolbar or plug in etc that just translates whatever text there is on the site to english automatically?

As the title says I have a briefcase system I'd like to try and repair - when I put a CD in and press run it just keeps on spinning, stopping after a while and then repeating that. I played music CDs in it and it was fine.

Anyone have any suggestions?

PCE Shuttle and Supergrafx on ebay:

http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZoli_larQQhtZ-1

Both have a game with them (Battleace for the Supergrafx, which is scart modded).

Cheers!

"The console plays Hu Cards fine, but the CD Drive says 'Close CD drive lid' when its already closed.  So thats as far as I got tesing it.  Sold strictly for spairs/repair."

Does anyone think that fixing a PCE Duo with this problem would be relatively easy/know how to fix that problem?

Reason is I'm looking for a relatively cheap PCE Duo!

I do all of my Hucard gaming on PC Engine, but I got a Turbografx pretty cheap, a PAL version. I looked up on Wikipedia and it said that this version had a limited run - does anyone know how limited, or does anyone have any background info on the european release?

...what the title says really.

I have a modified PCE Core Grafx with a PAL video output via RF, perfect pic and good vibrant colours that I'd like to trade for an unmodified white PCE/core grafx I/II as I now have a multiregion TV.

My e-bay user ID: http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/oli_lar to prove I'm trustworthy.

I know there aren't many UK users on here but I thought I'd try!

Cheers!
