RIP to BT Garner of MindRec.com... He passed away early 2023 from health problems. BT was one of the top PCE homebrew developers and founder of the OG Turbo List, then PCECP.com. Condolences to family and friends. |

Quote from: elmer on 10/26/2016, 12:54 PMSeen more people talking about this Michael Moore film, I really want to check it out now, anyone know where I might be able to watch it?? other people seem to be but not revealing where they're watching it.Quote from: Otaking on 10/26/2016, 12:21 PMWow, that didn't last long! Looks like it's down for copyright infringement.Quote from: elmer on 10/26/2016, 11:23 AMMichael Moore in TrumpLand (2016)Sounds interesting but the link doesn't work for me.
Glad I got the chance to watch it, but it's a bit more of a one-man-show, and not-as-funny-as-he-thinks, advert for Hilary, rather than a serious/humorous look at why some folks believe in The Donald (that I was hoping for).
Some good points in there, though.
Quote from: Ex_Mosquito on 10/29/2016, 01:12 PMI've since sold all my Engine stuff in 2003 to fund my arcade cab :/ I recently got back into in with a briefcase unit + Everdrive, I regret selling all my originals now!Yeah know the feeling, I sold most of my games collection a few years back and regret it now, mine was from pressure from my wife due to the limited space in our house.
Quote from: Ex_Mosquito on 10/29/2016, 01:12 PMI went to Tokyo in 09' and I'm kicking myself for not getting a shedload of cheap Engine games back then when I had the chanceI went to Japan a few times years back and it was like going to Mecca, it was mind blowing, unlimited games all dirt cheap and all mint. Apparently those days a now long, long gone and most of Japan's retro game stocks have been bled dry and left the country via gaijin and resellers.
Quote from: Ex_Mosquito on 10/29/2016, 01:12 PMBtw. Are you the author of Hyper Play? I listened to an interview on RGDS podcast about that fanzine. It's not my zine. I've always been a massive fan of printed fanzines and a massive fan of Super Play, the magazine that inspired this fanzine. So when I first heard about Hyper Play it was right up my street and hoped it would be a success, which it looks like it has been.

Quote from: wildfruit on 10/26/2016, 09:03 AMI don't like the current style of KFC chips though.I completely agree with that, they're wrank.
Quote from: wildfruit on 10/25/2016, 07:04 PMHave a Big king. Best of both worlds.I've never been big into beef burgers, although I haven't been many times I do like the burgers at gbk.
Chicken royale with cheese trumps though.
Never been in a gbk otaking. Any good? Dirty burger is ok. Nice burgers shit chips & too expensive.

I wouldn't be surprised if the next game is SplatterhouseQuote from: Otaking on 10/22/2016, 05:13 PMhere's another new one, Night CreaturesAs a Turbo fan, I don't understand what they are doing... Both of these games were among the easiest to purge from my collection when I decided to only keep the games I liked.... There are so many good games they could be playing instead...

We all remember the massive swell in share price Nintendo enjoyed following the release of Pokémon Go right? Well, how did Nintendo's share price respond to the announcement of the Switches reveal and the reveal itself?
When the announcement came out in the morning shares rose a small amount of 4%, following the reveal of the system Nintendo's shares dropped by 7%... a similar response to what happened when the WiiU was revealed. Not a great response. Whilst it's not a massive swing it does mean that the net response over 24 hours for the systems reveal was to make the company lose value.
