Awesome pic! Damn, you got a PlayStation early on.

ParanoiaDragon

Yeah, seriously, I have to save up for when it went down to $200, & even then, I used every dime, nickel, & penny to buy it, I kid you not!  The girl at the register wasn't happy with all my change!

I pulled that change nonsense (all rolls of pennies) when I bought Ninja Spirit.

Ninja, the expression of pure, maniacal joy on your face as you hold the PlayStation aloft is priceless.

:)

Merry Xmas, indeed.

Myself and my sister at a private concert of Theory of a Deadman in a little place called Wasted Space at the Hard Rock hotel casino here in Vegas.  They played for about 20 of us.  I'm the second from the left, my sisters is obviously the chick and the rest of them are Theory of a Deadman.

All is well. :)

I was in Vegas recently, playing some small gigs. I am the one with the bouffant:

HALLOWEEN 2009
IMG

This is taken with a crappy cell phone camera. I was a "beach dude*" for Halloween. I am wearing a plastic headband and it was so balmy that I totally went out in my bathing suit and sandals.

You can't see it clearly, but I have a plastic shell bracelet.

Ninja Spirit, did you go as macy gray?

 O:)
This "max-level forum psycho" () destroyed TWO PC Engine groups in rage: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook "Because Chris 'Shadowland' Runyon!," then the other by Aaron Nanto "Because Le NightWolve!" Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together... Both times he blamed the Aarons in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged, destructive, toxic turbo troll gang!

guyjin

why is the car the only thing in the picture that's blurred? it can't be moving.

can it?

Tatsujin

it was moving, so that's why he's turned out like that now :)

no seriously, i guess joe just manipulated the polaroid to make us thinking about. he loves to do such things all the time.

Awesome.

I never had a BMX. I had a Schwinn Stingray. This was not kool. Everyone had a BMX. Stingray was considered lame (well, it was hard to overcome the whole "banana seat" thing).

Later, I graduated to a Schwinn Typhoon. It's banana seat failed to impress folks.

At least my parents saved money.

I always wanted to be really good at skateboarding and BMX'ing. Being near a half pipe was pretty damn intimidating despite how pumped up it made me after watching "Thrashin" and "Rad"

Lol - you had "mag" wheels. They looked cool, but they were always heavier. I always wanted me bike to be lighter, so I could go faster, get higher/more air time, etc.

The car is indeed moving!  Here is the original picture:

bike2.jpg

Tom - Yeah that was during my early BMX days.  I went from spokes to tricking it out with heavier stuff like mag wheels and a friggin' number plate.  I eventually replaced the frame and fork with Hutch products and changed the wheels to spoke alloys.  The seat became a fiberglass model for improved lightness, lightweight 3-piece cranks were installed, CW handlebars were put on, the numberplate came off and I lost 3 pounds.  I was a total backflippin' lightweight bad ass.

I still have the bike.

nat

God damn I miss the 80s. The days of my childhood & a carefree life. I did a lot of biking when I was a kid, too. It seems like only yesterday....

BMX had nothing on the Schwinn Typhoon.

The Typhoon was a mere 150lbs after I washed off the dust and stripped it down.

I was a lamer who didn't learn to ride a bicycle until I was 10. (gravel roads are kinda hard to ride on.)

termis

Man, I loved BMX/Freestyle bikes as a kid.

Getting copies of BMX Plus! in the mailbox was one of my great childhood joys.

geise

I loved BMXing.  Used to have a couple Redline's and GT's.  My bro preferred the Generals.  Generals were damn heavy bikes, but were very well built.

I was more into sk8boarding. now that is still one of the greatest sports to date. probably will start again, in some time :)

I tried to start again last year.  I found a problem though (besides a 28yo looking like a moron surrounded by teenagers), I seemed to have developed reasoning/fear as I got older.  So, Instead of just doing something, I thought about it, then it didnt play out right.  Lets say I fell a few times.
Another douche trying to obtain a full Turbo collection.  119/146 so far.  Got a long way to go. Half way there. Hit the 100 mark. ich bein ein obeyer

that sounds verz familiar to me and I feel roughly the same every year when I jump on my snowboard. and the worst, every time when you make a mistake, you do not learn from it (as in young times), but getting more feared. so you start blocking more and more :(
