well, i took one of these (got a busted one for $5):
http://www.amazon.com/Wii-Fighting-Stick-Nintendo/dp/B000SKLUXS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1361849001&sr=8-1&keywords=hori+fighting+stick+wii

and gutted it.
the art is stuff i designed from a couple pieces i found online, and got printed on some adhesive backed vinyl at https://www.gameongrafix.com/
i'd recommend it, that stuff is nigh indestructible.

as for the buttons and stick, all sanwa stuffs.
i haven't finished it yet though, so it doesn't work, but i'm going to be putting one of these in there:
http://forums.shoryuken.com/discussion/46572?threads/t.46572/

so yeah, it'll work on the wii, but even better, it'll work on teh turbobs, a system known for great 8-button fighters.

Fray is freaking sweet.  Ikari on cute anime roids and big colorfu gfx = winner.  pretty tough though to stay alive!

Quote from: guest on 02/21/2013, 10:30 AMI found a copy of Fray in the mailbox yesterday.  'Twas snagged from eBay for $23.18 shipped.  :D

NecroPhile

Agreed, Tokei.  It's cute as hell and tons o' fun - the only part I don't care for is the jumping bits where it's hard to tell where you're gonna land, consequently often falling to your demise.

Went downtown to buy some resistors and capacitors, and browsing around I got these:

IMG

Around $50 for everything :)

bartre

IMG

$75, I have a new favorite coworker :D

TheClash603

Nice haul for the price, MKR goes for that by itself usually.

Magic Carpet is a weird game, haven't played it in years though.  Played through Die Hard arcade about 50 times too.

Mathius

Bartre, does your Magic Knight Rayearth have its sticker collection in the back of the manual intact? That's a good price on all that stuff!

bartre

mati - yeah, it's the nicest game in the bunch, just about perfect, and has the stickers :)

i mostly bought it for Die hard, nights and MKR, but astal and magic carpet were games i wanted to try, but never picked up.
i figured it was a good price, seems like astal is ~$20, and Die hard is ~$25, so I ain't complaining.

Astal is a bit shallow gameplay wise but its beauty is nearly unrivaled. A true 2D graphics showcase.

Ya astral is a beauty :) and I have have the Japanese die hard and its pretty damn good.....hmmmmmm....<< Warms up Saturn>>

we'll see if it stand's up to Keio 2 (one of my favorite platformers ever.)

TheClash603

Astal is kinda simple and the gameplay is so-so.  The game is one of the best looking on the system though, worth playing the relatively short game just to get a good look.

RoyVegas

Picked up a few loosies on eBay

Dragon Spirit
King of Casino
Double Dungeons

Different auctions and less than $10 each including shipping.
All is well. :)

jeffhlewis

Magic Knight Rayearth is one of those few Saturn RPGs that is actually worth the price of admission. good pick up!

SamIAm

Didja get the 3D controller with NiGHTS?

Some people are fine without it, but personally I wouldn't play the game any other way.

no, but i already had one, used to have quite the saturn collection, but i decided to dump it.
now i'm just getting the ones i really want.

xcrement5x

Very nice score on the Rayearth, the last US Saturn game!  Who's on the disc?  Umi (blue), Fuu (green), or Hikaru(Red)?

I don't normally go shopping on weekdays, but after a tip from Dan about Gamestop doing a Buy 1 Get 50% off for PSP games I went around town and hit 5 GameStops looking for deals.  They're really serious about clearing this stuff out, one store I bought from was literally just about to take down the PSP display in 20 minutes before I walked in.

Lots of pictures incoming!

GameStop was missing part of the charger so they gave me a Vita one as a replacement for free.
The screen still looks very nice too, I was surprised!

Lux-Pain [DS]
Guitar Hero DS version

Definitely a pricy night, but I got a lot of good games at VERY nice prices.  Some are duplicates to what I have, so I might try and trade them off to pick up games I'm missing.  I really didn't need a second PSP Go either, but the price was right so I figured it wouldn't hurt to have a backup.  Now I need a white one :D

i can never find more than one good psp game at a time at my local gamestops.
that said, the service at my local stores has been rapidly improving.

And yes, I also bought the resistors and capacitors needed for my TE recap and LCD upgrade!

I picked up a PSP Go last Friday to hack and load with my UMD games and use like a console, and yesterday I snagged a case and copies of Legend of Heroes: Tear of Vermillion, Space Invaders Extreme, and Half Minute Hero.

I love Space Invaders Extreme,  you should also check out Infinity Gene (if you haven't already). It's not as flashy but it's still a fun spin on the series. I know it's on PSN but I'm not sure if it's PSP compatible.
