Forgive me, my brain is on par with the Bubble System.
THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS RULE!

This is old, old, old news.  Screenshots have been around for months and we even know of a new character called Crimson Viper or some such lameness like that.  The game doesn't look very good, in my opinion.

GUTS

I hadn't heard about any of that.  Arcade huh?  That kinda sucks, I'll just wait for the inevitable 360 release.

Joe Redifer

You seriously thought it was going straight to console?

JoshTurboTrollX

That seems pretty excellent that its staying with its roots!!

I will have to find an arcade in my area that will carry it!!!

Joe you are MANtastic!
Jossshhhhh...Legendary TurboTrollX-16: He revenge-bans PCE Developers/Ys IV Localizers from PCE Facebook groups and destroyed 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Josh and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner (extortion/blackmail!), never himself nor his deranged, destructive, toxic turbo troll gang!

Arcades may be mostly dead over here in the lazy-ass West (where players are too fucking lazy to put down their Xbox 360 controller, walk out the door, and go to the arcade), but in Japan, they're still alive and kicking. It's no surprise that it would hit the arcades first.

It would be cooler if they would just manufacture new Street Fighter 2 machines.

Maybe since I read the 10-page article EGM had on this game, I'm more "in-the-know" than others about all of this.  First they choose Ghouls 'n Ghosts as game of the year, and now they do an article on this game.  You can't lose with EGM!  :)

I actually passed up that EGM because I thought it was just going to be "HOLY SHIT, sf4!!lolol AND HERE'S SOME SCREENS".   If I had only known...  ](*,)

Well...yeah.  Capcom Fighting Jam went straight to console, and Marvel versus Capcom 2 was released for arcade the same day it came to Dreamcast. Powerstone was actually released for Dreamcast the day before the arcade version (not that anyone would notice).

Capcom officially left the arcade biz years ago, and has only come back with some rare exceptions. The only arcade release from them I can think of since then was Street Fighter Zero 3 Upper.

Giving SFIV's bastard origins (and bastard appearance, and we can only assume bastard gameplay) I just assumed it would be straight to console. At this point you might as well just say that its a Japanese arcade release since finding it in the states will be harder than finding a Turbo Duo at your local Game Stop location.

I live near what used to be (and still is, I suppose) one of the best arcades in the US, and I wonder if even they will get it. Their newest machines are all either pinball or imported from Japan, and even those aren't exactly spanking new. I have no idea what's even being released for arcades anymore.

Beatmania IIDX 15th Style DJ Troopers just came out in Japan...Time Crisis 4 was like... a while ago...even the stuff being released in Japan is like those stupid card game things.
