I got mine, I played Rayman. It was meh.

I played Bust a Move, it was Bust a Move. With a little bit of 3D (oh boy).

Thank you Nintendo, for the lamest launch lineup since the Wii. You are on a roll.

the 3D is the same 3D that PS3 does on big shiney TV. It is no different. Its worse actually. You are required to hold the thing a certain way for it to 3D. With glasses, you don't have to worry as much.

This sounds familiar. Having to hold the DS properly to "enjoy" the 3D.

having to hold the Gameboy properly to fucking see it.

No Kidding. I am going to pick mine up in a bit and the game I buy will be Pilotwings. I am debating on getting Ridge Racer ot Monkeyball. Both probably suck. To be honest I'm not really excited.

Got mine but won't get to play until tonight. There were some great deals today, picked up the system and Pilotwings at KMART, and got Pilotwings for $25 off.

Then I went to Toys R Us and got Street Fighter and Ridge Racer for buy one get one half off.

I am damn excited to play later! ...I just hope I don't regret passing on Monkey Ball.

SFIV is SFIV on a DS. That automatically sucks. My friend is currently regretting that.

Pilotwings with Mii's is retarded, and I dont like racing games.

Just played 15 minutes of Pilotwings, and I was impressed. 3D looked pretty cool and the gameplay is classic.

I still think its funny how many people *NOW* give 3D gaming a shot. This shits been around since SMS. I laughed at how many "in the know" "gurus" had NO CLUE that this kind of gimmick effect was around BITD. and on my PS3 already.

I think I'd rather wear glasses for it, to be honest.

I got four games, Pilotwings, Super Street Fighter IV, Super Monkey Ball and Ridge Racer.

I like the system. I even don't mind the 3D, once you get in a comfortable position just keep the slider set to the appropriate level of 3D for it to work and you're set.

Monkey Ball is the game I've played the least of. It was purchased more due to Toys R us being buy 1 get one half off than because it was high on my want list.

The best playing game is Street Fighter IV. Ridge Racer has the best 3D.

Theyre not selling well from what I have been told by friends who work at gamestop. There wasn't even a huge line/rush this morning. It was just casual "oh, 3DS please"

I went 30 mins after they opened and was like wtf where is everyone.

Maybe this will be the first time Nintendo doesn't automatically win because nintendo.

I enjoy my 3DS. I haven't played Pilotwings too much yet, but it was enjoyable. Super Monkey Ball is pretty fun, though! The playfield tilts too much and it is too easy (so far), but otherwise it seems to be really good. It's been a while since there was a Monkey Ball game that could be played with conventional controls. You can tilt your 3DS like a retard to play this, but who wants to do that?

I played Pilotwings a little over two hours, and enjoyed it quite a bit. I don't know how long the game is going to last, but for $15, I'll take the 6-10 hours I get out of it.

I am excited to play Ridge Racer and Street Fighter, but unfortunately my battery just died. I played maybe 2 1/2 hours and it already bit the dust. Wi-Fi was off... yikes!

the battery life is gamegear caliber.

I think the little card doodads are the coolest part so far. The games havent really given me that special tingle in the pants yet.

My friend got pilot wings and I played it for a bit. I really cant take the appearance of the game, at all. But if you squint a little and dont stare too directly, you can pretend its not that stupid looking.

I passed on one for now, because nothing impressed me in the launch line-up. If I was going to get a game it would have been pilotwings.

Plenty of systems have had ho-hum launch games and turned out great so the 3DS will be no exception.

When the good N64 ports arrive along w/ the Kid Icarus game everyone is going to want one. Think what they will be able to do with a Castlevania game on there so the future is definitely promising.

Zelda OoT is going to move systems, I personally want the Star Fox game as well. I can see how some people don't like ports since you are paying for a game you arleady played. I haven't really been following the games, but I have to think Nintendo has some big game saved for the holday season.

I might just order one shortly. I don't think i will beat $250 I have tons of Amazon credit, and I could essentially get a game for $15.

When the good N64 ports show up..what the small handful of games that were good to begin with or have held up decently? ;) I think the 64 left a bad/meh taste in a LOT of peoples mouths. I wouldn't count Kid Icarus, or 64 ports to sell to the masses as much as you think. Sell decently, maybe, sell millions of systems, probably not.

Just as long as that Castlevania is NOT in the new timeline with Lords of Shadow, I hate the game, & hate the direction they've gone so far storywise.....& musicwise......& gameplay-wise. It'd probably be an ok game...without the CV name attatched to it......like it originally was until Konami has the bright idea of making it a CV.

My last charge was 2:45 until the battery light was flashing, and that is with no wi-fi.

Probably not. While the N64 was a huge flop for me, people are actually pretty in love with it still. Its actually a "retro" console to a lot of 20 year olds now and they still pay real money for the games at the used stores. I don't get it either. Hopefully the thing will get so popular that it will draw money away from the Turbo market and the prices on NEC stuff with drop!

Especially in Japan there are alot of PSX ports. Breath of Fire 3(which got a EU release, & I have it), but also both Mega Man Legends(which I would love for them to bring over now, especially since I heard the controls are improved!). Suikoden 1 & 2(once again, I have it, though, wish it was in english, stupid Konami!), Star Ocean 2...though we actually got that one over here. I know there's a ton more.

The N64 ports was in response to hiz comments...I am talking about the ports like SF IV, MGS3, etc. I have yet to see a game (or multiple) to wow me/entice me to buy yet. Add the abysmal battery life is beyond sad.

Been playing a lot of Street Fighter lately. The online play is smoother than the console versions. Also, with the touch screen special moves, the game is more about strategy than technical ability. It almost turns SF into a RTS game, and it is really cool. Definitely the best 3DS game I have played.

I got mine from Amazon a couple days ago along with Street Fighter IV. Got Street Fighter IV for $15 cause Amazon had a promotion where you buy a 3DS and get $25 off a launch game. Street Fighter IV is fucking awesome. The 3D mode where you look over your character's shoulder is awesome.

Not many of the other launch games really impress me. I played Pilotwings and Best Buy and it was OK. Has anybody played Lego Star Wars? That game looked pretty fun and might be the next game I pick up. That or Ridge Racer.

Ok I finally have mine. I put 3-4 hours into pilotwings I like it, but it's not like it is a revolutionary departure from the SNES one or the N64 one so if you've played those just think of this a new missions, but the same philosophy.

We have already established that the launch line up is mediocre and everyone is pretty much just picking up the niche games that appeal to them at this point. (I did also pick up GR: Shadow Wars, but have yet to play it.)

I can't comment on the battery life as mine has always been plugged in. One thing I do want to emphasis, and I think Arkhan pointed this out earlier in the thread, but I couldn't find it at a glance.

There is a big emphasis on holding the system right to the point that you could be playing a game and you shift you wrist and then all of a sudden you are seeing double objects on the screen or burred vision, then you are shifting back and forth trying to get the picture to come in properly and not focusing on the game.

It is not a deal breaker by any means I'm excited to see what direction they go in terms of software, but the screen going into double vision at an inopportune time is going to frustrate a lot of people. I would hope it wouldn't be a problem once you got used to it, but who knows.

I know it is a gimmick that would wear thin quickly, but those card games that come w/ the system are amazing in terms of showing off what the system is capable of.

I set it up on the counter at work and you could see the 3D image in front of the keyboard and other stuff that was on the counter, it was pretty neat.
