Sending all recent purchases out today. Thank you for your patience as I've had to battle long work hours, sick kids, and a cold myself which have all delayed my speed in getting these items out to you guys. I'll send tracking info through PM's. Enjoy guys!

Quote from: guest on 11/10/2011, 05:59 PMstuff arrived!

I came!

:D
Haha, glad you enjoyed the package.

If anyone knows LameKat, let him know I need his address to send him his games. Not sure if he checked his PM's lately, and he sent the money as a gift and it does not show his mailing address.
#4
Ok guys thank you for your patience as I am now back. Glad everyone that purchased something got their games!

There is a lot more interest in the games that are left, so bear with me as I sort everything out. Whoever is interested in a game first gets dibs on that game, unless they end up backing out on payment.

Today would be a good day to confirm with me what you want and then send payment asap so I can get all the packages out by tomorrow. Although I will be in town this next week I will be working long days between Sunday to Wednesday, so any payments made during then won't get shipped until next Thurs-Fri.

Thanks!

The last of the recent orders will be shipped today, and I will send tracking information to everyone that purchased something recently.

I did end up getting a job last Thursday and will have to drive to LA for a week of training tomorrow, so anyone interested in purchasing something please note I will not be able to ship anything until November 4th or 5th when I get back.

I am still selling everything to get rid of some debt, so feel free to continue to inquire about the games or any offers you have. Thanks!

Quote from: Edmond Dantes on 10/27/2011, 10:55 PMSo every game that's not crossed out is unclaimed, right?  Just asking because I saw games named in posts, but they're not crossed out on the list.
Thats correct. Every game not crossed out is still up for grabs.

Thanks!

First batch of purchases shipped today and I'll send out tracking information to those that bought something when I get back later. Enjoy the games! :-)

Thanks everyone who made a purchase today.

Packages will ship tomorrow!

Quote from: allyourblood on 10/25/2011, 07:04 PMArgh! Would love to buy the PCE Duo but I just spent a bunch of money on games the last two weeks! If it doesn't move right away, I might be able to buy it in a week or two.

Also, is that PCE Turbo Pad the blue CoreGrafx one? If so, I'm interested.
It's the same color as the other Turbo Pad in the picture with the console. Thanks for asking, and so far there is no interest in the Duo, will update as games and stuff begins to move.
#12
*UPDATE* I've been busy the past month but got a chance to clean up what's left of the collection and slash prices. I've moved everything that is still up for sale to the top of the collection.

Everything was kept in the utmost care as received, stored in a smoke free home, ships from the US (CA), and guaranteed to work.

I will do my best to detail everything and will be happy to answer all questions that come my way. Giving you guys first dibs on this stuff and will try to give you the best deals that I can. Still working on prices atm so feel free to send me any offers as you see fit. I'm open to negotiation and bundled deals. I have a positive feedback score of 805 on eBay and I'd be happy to provide my seller ID as requested. Accepting paypal only, and I am willing to ship overseas.

*Note* The prices include shipping within U.S., so if you are in the states you only have to cover the quoted price. International orders will require a bit more for shipping, and feel free to contact me for rates. I will get the best rate I can for you!

Collection

PC-Engine Duo JP - $125 SOLD to Lamekat

Works perfectly with no CD-read issues. Sound works fine. Only thing I experienced with my Duo was with the Wonder Boy In Monsterland Hu-card game. The hu-card would not load initially. I had to slide the card back a bit to get the game to work properly. There were a few other instances where loading a hu-card failed to a screen of gibberish, which resetting always resolved. Includes AV cables, adapter, and one controller pad in working condition. Some surface scratches near CD-lid opening.

I'll never forget seeing Akira for the first time in the late 80's, that pretty much sold me on the world of anime.

Here's a few that I've enjoyed through the years:

Demon City Shinjuku - Just a great mindless romp in a city full of demons, great action.
Black Magic M66 - This has become one of my favorite works of Masamune Shirow, starring a female android assassin with a license to kill.
Record of Lodoss War - The first series was pretty epic and unforgettable. It's like anime's nod to Dungeons & Dragons.
Berserk - One of the most insanely violent cartoons I've ever seen. Think that's bad? Read the manga...
Blue Gender - Contender for my favorite anime ever. Love the sci-fi feel of a desolate Earth overrun by giant bugs. Bugs you say? Bring out the mechs!
Devilman Lady - Surprisingly underrated, a model turns into the devil lady to fight monsters...and her own madness along the way.
Ergo Proxy - High quality sci-fi anime here.

And here are a few I'm considering buying in the near future...any advice on whether these are decent or not would be great!

Casshern Sins
Blassreiter
Heroic Age
Claymore

Managed to get a few games I've after for a while, plus copped a few of the cheaper ones he was offering to make it my best TG bundle to date. Cant wait to get some time and sit down with a few beers and a lot of spare time and play these.

I am most looking forward to Neutopia and Splatter house. Never played either before so i'm popping my cherry here folkes.

Thats it for me, no more TG purchases until I time find to play the ones I got already!!!!!!!!!

Cheers Dalder.

Great haul Gnome! Order of the Griffon is a ton of fun and an underrated classic. It gets addictive, and you'll spend hours playing it...at least I did!

This is a Left 4 Dead mod featuring a pretty cool Portal 2 Easter Egg. The two hot-sounding girls geeking out over the level makes it all the merrier:
And this is a fan-made real life version of the game Amnesia: The Dark Descent:

Quote from: guest on 07/29/2011, 12:49 PMI hear Insanity has some pretty good chiptunes, lol.

I might be offering up the soundtrack soon on the cheap.  PCe chiptunes are sexy.  They dont have the very typical "done with nerdtracker or a C64" sound.
I have to say, the music in Insanity is awesome. I'd definitely be up for hearing the soundtrack.

By the way, does anyone know a surefire way to extract HES files from a CD-Rom game? From what I hear it's a process that requires a lot of background knowledge about how PCE games work, of which I'm devoid of...I really want to capture some great chiptune tracks on a few games that aren't already available anywhere else.

Thank you CrackTiger for the Xanadu II link. And Ikermel, you were right about those games w/stars...thanks again!

One of the best aspects about PC-Engine games is the colorful artwork that adorns their manuals. The character drawings, monster art, maps, comic panels...they just add another level to the game for me.

On that note, I'm looking for a few manual scans of games I have yet to own. A big thank you to Ikermel of http://www.videogameden.com/index.htm for the manuals he has at his site....good stuff!

Here's the list of manuals I'd still like to check out:

Anearth Fantasy Stories
Aldynes
Basted
Eternal City
Dragon Knight III
Horror Story
Kiaidan 00
L-Dis
Lady Sword
Legend of Xanadu II
Liquid Kids
Lost Sunheart
Madou Monogatari
Mystic Formula
Popful Mail
Sonson II
Steam Hearts
Spriggan II
Tatsujin

I'm really just looking for character/monster art, maps, and general artwork...so if any of these lack this kind of art, that would be helpful to know as well.

Also...I have over 100 PCE games as well, so if anyone else is looking for a manual scan, feel free to post here and if I have it I'll scan and post it for you.

Arigatō  :)

Paul, enjoyed the issue. It is hard working, passionate people like yourself that make the PC-Engine still a revelant and important gaming console today. Thank you for that.

Quote from: Joe Redifer on 08/01/2011, 01:58 AMDoesn't Jim Power have only one tune?  I know the Mega Drive version has but one track.  I really like Chris Hülsbeck's (or however you spell his name) arrangement of it located on some non-game music CD with arrangements of his tunes.  I haven't heard the PCE arrangement of the tune yet.
No, this version has a track for every level as well as boss music...and it is a surprisingly good soundtrack. Check out the music for level 3, it's my fav:
And I just checked out the Mega Drive song which ironically is the same as the song for Level 3.  :D

But check out the other Jim Power songs posted by the same youtuber....good stuff.

Quote from: Mathius on 07/31/2011, 06:27 PMI heard that Jim Power has very good graphics but horrible controls. Let us know how it plays.
Actually, I know that Jim Power is known to be bad but I'm going to go against the grain...I love this game. The controls really aren't that bad. The one hit kills might get annoying if you like to rush through levels, and the jumping takes some getting used to. But I find the game enjoyable enough to play through...I haven't beat it yet though. There is also a cheat mode that can add to the fun, but I want to try to beat the game before messing around with it.

If you want to talk horrible controls...Slime World takes the win. What a slug-fest. I had high hopes for this game too.
#26
Latest shipments...Swords of Destiny is pretty awesome, enjoying it more than Devil May Cry. And I can now understand what all the Yuna hype is about. Also...Dogora may be the strangest Japanese monster movie I've ever seen.

Quote from: Sadler on 07/22/2011, 06:22 PMHow many homebrew titles have been officially released? I know about Insanity, Implode and Meteor Blaster DX. Are there any others? Also, does anyone know where to get Meteor Blaster DX these days? I checked the MindRec store and didn't see it. Thanks!

As far as released games go, I think you named them all. There are still a bunch that are being worked on, here are a few off the top of my head:

Mysterious Song
PC-Engine Retrocade
Jungle Bros.

And the following games were announced a few years back but no recent updates:

PC Cocoron (ok kidding....) all jokes aside *ahem*:

Quote from: Sleepy Gnome on 07/20/2011, 01:44 PMI brought these but forgot to check if the xbox games are forwards compatable. Sadly Capcom Classics is not (yet), which is a real shame as there are some excellent games on there I was looking forward to playing. I was even thinking of getting an arcade stick to play them with (22 in total including Super Ghouls and Ghosts). Hope fully they make it compatable with the 360 one day.
Sadly if the game is not compatible with the 360 it likely never will be. The good news is that an original XBOX console can be had for cheap...check your local pawn shops you can get one for around $20.

Here's everything I picked up over the weekend through today...particularly stoked about the mail-order only Boba Fett since I sent in for well after the deadline, so surprised I got it. Can't wait to dig into Startling Odyssey II using the translation patch, and that's a brand new copy of Brandish which I subsequently opened and drooled over. Also picked up Earth Defense Force 2 and R.A.D. (sooo underrated) for PS2 and found Thousand Arms for $20. Lastly, going to feed the PC some space shooters...and thanks again RR1980 for Hellfire S!

Quote from: Dyna138 on 07/13/2011, 02:49 PMSince I've restarted collecting Turbo/PCE games about a year ago I've often referrenced www.racketboy.com and the rare and valuable article for the Turbografx/PCE. Its a good way to get a good "starting point" and then use your own judgement and some common sense. That article also references this forum so I'm guessing at some point there was a survey here to get a rough estimate of the value of those games.
That's a great site and thanks for sharing the link. Only problem I have is his copy of Coryoon is WAYYYY overpriced. I've seen better looking copies for less than half of that asking price...http://www.superclassicvideogames.com/zen%20cart%20software/zen%20cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3_13&products_id=938&zenid=03nidjnogc8jb00fs79ghsa6s7
After looking at the other titles a lot of games are way off the mark. If you are looking for a good deal on a nice selection of PCE games, I doubt you'll find it there...sadly.
