I got the 3DS at launch, and was disappointed.  I might as well get this.  Sony rarely disappoints me.

I preordered the non-3G one because I don't give two nutsacks about 3G and always connected BS.   Wifi is good for me.

I want one but not at launch. I will wait until its out for a while. I still have a ton of PSP games to play and they are cheap right now so Ive been buying more. Maybe a year or so after its out. Unless something really awesome comes out on it.

I'm still not sure. right now im rocking my 3DS and loving it. I got a psp a few years back, and really didn't play it that much, I currently only own 6 games on my psp, while i have 50 games for my DS. I'm gunna wait and see

I have the First Edition Bundle preordered because it comes with a game that looks interesting and I don't have to pay a ridiculous price for a memory card...   aka, I am paying a ridiculous price for a memory card but since it is in a package I feel better about it.

I hope the system is better than the original PSP, which always collected dust next to my DS.  I play my 3DS a ton, and I am hopeful that the Vita will break into that time...  but I have my doubts.

I really am interested in Resistance, because it's my favorite series on the PS3, but it doesn't appear to be a launch game.  I'll have to look what's out there at launch, maybe I'll just get Ultimate MvC3, because I am a sucker for that shit.

Pretty much the same thing happened with the 3DS as well, and now it seems to be selling well. Seems people are less likely to buy stuff at launch these days, and they've barely been marketing the vita out here. I've seen maybe one or two commercials for it (granted I don't watch a lot of TV).

Pretty much every kid has a DS or 3DS, but by far the most popular portable gaming system for the older crowd would be the PSP. I see them everywhere and people are always playing it on the train. I rarely see anyone over 12 with a DS anymore. Most adults who used them for casual gaming on the train just use their smartphone now.

Deffinitly want one, I love my PSP, my DS collects dust these days, used to be the other way around.  It looks like the Vita will have a more solid line up of game early compared to the PSP which took a year or 2 to get a bunch of decent games.  Just Ys Celceta is enough for me to buy a Vita.  Also, that Actraiser'ish game(Samurai & Dragon) sounds like it might be cool.  However, I'll probably wait for a newer model, price drop, tv out, etc.  However, if Ys comes out before that time comes, I probably won't be able to resist!

LOL, Arkan defending modern gaming?  Wow.  The firmware updates take much longer than 10 seconds.  The latest one bricks some consoles and prevents others from being online unless it is booted into Safe Mode first and I have refused to apply it.  How often has the Xbox GUI been changed?  Twice?  I just use the Xbox button anyway and don't even mess with the shitty layouts.

i love ps3, but it does update alot. but i have never had an issue with it on either of my ps3s. My fatty 40 gig white jap model has never had an issue with updates, neither has my 120gig slim model.

I've had mine for almost exactly a year...and haven't done more than 4 updates (and that's counting the post hacking fiasco).  As for the "can't seem to get that shit right and always need to update it"....na dthen they get hacked...damned if you do/damned if you don't

I'm not an Xbox hater, just PS3 has more of the games I want to play...and I hate the Xbox controller.

My updates happen fast enough that I can walk away to pee and come back and be ready to go.  Having an entire UI change without an option is lame.  That sucks about the 360.  Plus, that UI sucked, and still sucks.

I appreciate that they're updating my firmware. It's a great feature to have. Firmware is a brilliant concept.  Things can be changed later on without expensive hardware re-designs.  There's a reason computers adopted this concept.

...however, back on topic, anyone think that the Vita is going to get any sort of price decrease before it launches or maybe that early adopters will get something free/special?  I think that the 3DS doing the Ambassador Program really opened up the door for this type of treatment for early adopters, and Sony could really alienate its fan base if they don't do something similar and a quick price drop occurs.

No just seems VERY arbitrary (plus out of the blue). Many people have gotten warnings (some multiple) before a lightning fast ban hammer.


I pretty much only use the report button for spam/true trolling/scams...enough attention from everyone is usually shown to anything else needed.
