You can also get ut on the wii. It was released similarly to the SNES Mario all stars on disk for the Wii

Well he is the sega fan after all  For the longest time i never played the original either.The first time id played one in the series was,MMX4 on the saturn.Not to mention the first time id played MMX was years ago through the MMX collection on the GC.

I have been playing MMX1 at the first time on last Friday. Very tough ride after the intro stage, until you're able to find the dash and armor upgrades. I suggest starting with MM1 or the blooper/glitches/silly stuff videos at the end of each playlist. When I found the channel last week, it was for the glitches. Man, hilarious stuff.

I'm having trouble with the first Sigma stage. There's one vertical section with lots of enemies coming from above. Many of wall-jumps and easy to miss platforms, I'm only getting through using up my life bar and the upgraded rolling shield. Even then, when I'm through this and have to fight bosses, my weapons energy and lifebar is depleted enough to let me stand barehanded. Do you have any suggestions how to successfully survive that vertical section?

No real trick to it sadly it is one part memorization two parts mastering the double jump air dash.

There's an air dash? I thought the dash would only work on ground. I didn't know about any form of double jumping either. Thanks! I'll give it another try soon.

No real trick to it sadly it is one part memorization two parts mastering the double jump air dash.

If yes, the lag of one of these almost ruined anything for me, when I brought my videogames to a friend who had a Samsung Full HD. Trying MM2's Bubble Man stage ended disastrous. Even with all the TV's filter options turned off, the lag was still there and not only present when playing old stuff, but also HD sources (Xbox 360) showed noticeably lag.

Love my big 'ole CRT at home, that tube never let me down.

It all depends. My Samsung LCD from 2008 had zero lag and displayed pictures nicely. Unfortunately, it died, so back to a CRT for me anyway, but just not because of lag.

I don't think the appeal of the show is watching him play well. He's not a very good gamer. The point of the show is to watch him struggle and persevere to the end. The show is almost more about him and his personality. Even if he gets older and skills get worse I think people would still enjoy the show just the same. After all, he has the interns come in almost every episode to get through the spots he gets stuck in.

I LOVED this episode!  I was glad to see you guys mention Recca in there.  I about crapped my pants the first time I popped that in... I couldn't believe it was running like that on an NES.  I am surprised Metal Storm wasn't on the list but I think you guys may have mentioned that game in a previous episode (either hidden gems or the run and gun ep.)  I would love to see another episode dedicated to pushing the hardware limits.  I am also glad to see that etim board going to good use!
