There is a pretty decent list on pceDaisakusen. I've already sorted the list to U.S. only for you in the below link:

Hey Jason, welcome to the forums! If you live in America(which your post implies you do), your console is not dead(yay!). Instead of tuning to channels 1-4, you need to tune into something more on the lines of 95 & up. I had the same problem when I first got a jdm rf console(I think it was a famicom). As far as the power thing goes, I have a few guidelines for you to follow to avoid frying anything(with this or future consoles). Generally, +1 or 2 volts will not harm anything. Amperage just has to meet the minimum that your system requires, as the console will only draw out as many amps as it desires; so it's okay to have a psu with a high amperage rating. The most important thing that I cannot stress enough is the polarity of the psu and the console: they have to match! This is how many dudes fry their famicoms with nes psus(not me, I swear). Below is a polarity pic for you to ogle. Hope this helps.

Off-Topic / Back to the Future...

So I was drivin' down the 210 in my big gray van (on my way to the mall after class,) when I saw something amazing: out of nowhere, a car warped onto the freeway out of some sort of multi-dimensional black hole or something. I tried to photograph the car as much as I could, but it eventually warped....Back to the Future!  8)

Your adapter should work fine if the connector fits. The TurboDuo ac adapter outputs DC10v and 1000mA. It is also center positive, like the one you possess. It does not matter that your ac adapter outputs a higher amperage as the console will only draw out as much as it needs. Regarding your ac adapter being  DC9v instead of DC10v, you should not see a performance loss as ac adapters tend to output slightly higher voltages than they are rated at. The one thing that anyone should always be careful with when using aftermarket ac adapters, is polarity. Using an ac adapter that is center negative in a device that requires center positive will fry said device. An example of the afforementioned frying can be witnessed when using a NES ac adapter on a Famicom. I'll enclose a polarity chart for anyone looking to use any aftermarket ac adapters with their electronic devices.

Quote from: Martindap on 11/28/2009, 10:38 AMNow, Can someone help me to know if there's any important difference between this one and the Kisado one ?
Differences between the two exist only in parts and craftsmanship. I believe both of them to be fully compatible with both the Duo and the complete hucard library. If you seek pictures comparing the different converters, you've come to the correct place. Here is the official pcengine-fx.com compatibility guide:

https://www.pcengine-fx.com/main/nec_compatibility_guide.html

and here is a pic I made for a friend on here last year:

There you have it; the differences between converters.

GunHed

Gunhed is a futuristic movie where machines have turned against humans and have taken over (*cough* Terminator theme *cough*.) Long story short, the movie is nothing like the PcEngine game. However, the movie is pretty decent by its on terms. The special effects are pretty bad by today's standards, but they have that cheesy 80's feel to it. There are also scenes that are comical. One aspect that was cool was that the movie was in Japanglish. Yup, you read that right! lol. Most of the characters, including the protagonist, speak Japanese. However, many characters also speak english; when this happens, Japanese subtitles are displayed on the right of the screen. Overall, I would recommend this movie based on its novelty factor. I'm going to display this laserdisc with my GunHed comic books and PcEngine game. :D

General Gaming / Re: multi AC adapter?

I bought one of those from Play'N'Trade for around 8 bucks. I needed it to power my Nes2, who's psu decided to freakin' die on me for no reason (screw you 任天堂株式会社,!) It also powers my black SnEs. I've had it for about 2 months and it still works and my systems haven't died yet, but I don't really play my nes2 and SnEs =P. I do spend a lot of time on my Famicom w/ Disk System addon, but that requires the opposite polarity, so it has nothing to do with the psu in question. hahaha!

IMG
This diagram will help you to not fry your Famicom with your Nes psu! Seriously! Also, you can power your Famicom and/or FDS with your TurboGrafx-16 psu; yep, the TurboGrafx-16 is that awesome! 8)

Hello Quagmire, welcome to the pcenginefx forums! The problem that you have described is a simple one with a simple solution. You or whoever performed the sound fix on your PCEngine GT may have accidentally lifted a pin or multiple pins on one of the chips that happens to control the buttons not working. This may have happened when the shielding was being removed or maybe just by clumsiness. I've enclosed a picture that illustrates an area in which your problem may lie. If this is infact the problem you are facing, simply resolder the pins back to the pcb. I hope this help you out.

No, but I can definitely see why you guessed that! However, the screeny that I posted is not resized, but an excerpt from a screenshot taken in magic engine. In that sense, you could say that it is "actual size."

He is talking about either center positive or center negative. Just make sure that the symbol on your psu matches the one on the console.

Hello fellow PCEFXers!,

Did you replace all of the capacitors in the audio amp on your TE only to be slapped in the face with a 60-cycle hum coming out of your speaker? Do you need a solution? Then look no further! Pictured below is a capacitor worth replacing if you are experiencing a 60-cycle hum out of your speaker after you have replaced all of the capacitors in the audio amp. The capacitor is 100μF 6v and is located under the shielding.

TurboExpressHumFix.jpg

turbo D's Quick tips!:

Quick tip 1:
60-cycle hum is usually caused by a bad capacitor and/or ground!

Quick tip 2
:
When installing a new capacitor, it is okay if the voltage rating is higher than the original capacitor as long as the microfarads (μF or MFD) rating is the same. This is because the voltage rating of the capacitor is a limit not a requirement. However, you cannot replace your capacitor with one having a lower voltage rating. Also, a capacitor with a higher voltage rating will theoretically last longer. Do note that the higher the voltage rating, the larger in size your capacitor will be.

Quick tip 3:
When installing a polarized capacitor, make sure you do not reverse the polarity when installing ( e.g. solder negative to positive and vise versa.) The result will be an explosion of acid! If you are unsure of which lead is positive or negative, remember this: the negative lead of the capacitor will have a strip of arrows above it. If you have a capacitor with leads coming out of both ends, then the negative lead will be the lead that the arrows are pointing to. This is because the electricity flows in to the positive and out through the negative, hence the arrows indicating flow direction. Simple!

Yeah, the Arcade version is by far the best. It has a fun ending that was cut from the Genesis version, and it has more voice work and special effects.
I agree completely. Do you have the arcade version set up in a cabinet, or are you playing it with a supergun?

How is Lagrange Point?  Do you need to know alot of japanese?
Lagrange Point is VERY good, and yes you have to know it, I made a vid of the first 15 minutes of it on YouTube, and I knew a little bit enough to add captions to the video of items I picked up.

And I recognize Ratix! I saw his videos on YouTube where he got the VRC7 to sing through an NES.
Quoting this again, just because I can and because everyone else is.

I'll join in! I'm always up for a good page stretchin'. Arggh! ( like a pirate for some reason, lol!)  :)

Quote from: Game and Watch Kirby on 07/26/2008, 12:56 AMAlso, is the specific device, by any chance, known as the Kisado (brand)? That way, I would know what I would be looking upon.
No, it is officially called the TV GAME COMPUTER CARTRIDGE CONVERTER! The Kisado connector is black with an orange sticker on it. It has been established that the Kisado connector has the greatest compatibility of the available hucard adapters. I've taken some pictures for you to see the differences.

I bought an Altered Beast arcade machine today from a really cool dude  8). The grafx on the arcade are amazing, I don't think I can ever go back to the home ports. The difficulty level is up there with the pc engine version, but I have unlimited quarters.
