I have thought about getting one as it would aerve my need for both a famicom and a disk system. They seem to still be reasonably priced typically ranging in the $250 and higher.

Ill have to do more research as I am unfamiliar with draw back and what can and cant be done with it as far as av moding to display on a us tv be it modern or tube
If you are interested in a Twin Famicom I recommend Windy Gaming, I believe he has some in stock and is a stand up dude.

While out of town for the day I pick up some comics. We have a little Saga some no where men (didn't realize the first issue was a fith printing blah. ...it will now be my reader copy) and a mess of blind bag toys..all to do with the Neon Genesis Evongelion reboot movies.

Lastly I stopped by a retro game store called "Play Again"

I had hoped to pick up a copy of Truxton genesis CIB for around $45 that they had.  Well that was the problem they HAD a copy...sigh.  But they also just got in a stash of TB-16 games and a few CD games....

I was tempted to pick up military madness and a few more but then I saw a Working Designs game and I am a sucker for anything working designs....so that became my splurge item.....

I also picked up a little Genesis love.  For having never been a Sega guy growing up...since it was one system if that and I was a Nindendo guy growing up I am pleased to find not only gems in the sega library but down right criminals over looked games....

I was very tempted to pick up general chaos but I had to pull back the reigns on my spending lol..

photobucket.com/albums/n119/medic_wheat/20140607_182939_zpsbqxynaje.jpg

The game looks complete but I couldn't tell if it was suppose to have two disk or not and neither could the guy at the shop...we looked on google and it seems it is just missing a foldout map but still not sure so instead of the $80 he knocked off $20 incase it was missing a disk. I felt it was a price not to walk away from like I did with Truxton last month I was there.

Mathius

I do not believe any US Turbo CD game had two CDs. I love WD too and usually can't resist when I am out game hunting. A particular game caught my eye last week, which I couldn't say no to for a few reasons. I'll post what I mean soon.

It just started the next 6 issue run.  They do 6 issues take a break then come back, currently at issue 19 with what looks like a 9-10 month time jump from where it left off at issue 18.

It came out last week, but don't worry ..... I have yet to bump into antoher person at any comic shop reading Saga...

if it's not The Walking Dead or Spider-Man all the "new" comic readers seem to ignore it...no matter how well written......

unless there is talk of said comic getting a tv show or movie deal then the price skyrockets..

I have quickly found that Image comics has the most diverse range of comics currently available, while DC simply wont' stray away from the tried and true IP's that have has for ever (but I will give propbs for the Blue and Gold, and animal man series)..Marvel at LEST will publish French comic every now and again like "sky angles"..

Idea, Vertigo (which is owned by either marvel or dc I forget) is still trying to be indie while Boom comics is doing well with lovecraftean stuff and general horror comics....

jtucci31

Oh man, I'm unfortunately not too into comics anymore which always saddens whenever I drive by my comic store (and it's on my way to work).

But Saga is pretty much the only series I'm reading at the moment. Oh and I started Swamp thing (which I love) and Transmetropolitan (which I also love).

But only my friend and I read Saga. Weird

Quote from: Medic_wheat on 06/07/2014, 10:17 PM^^^so does it split the signal or allow you to play the game separately on your arcade units?
It splits the video/audio and the 2nd Player controls which means you can play one PCB on two cabs as first & second player.

Quote from: Medic_wheat on 06/07/2014, 10:17 PMAlso do you have a TB-16 system wired into a arcade cab or?
No thats the arcade version of Bonk.

But I built an adapter which allows me to connect any console that outputs RGB to the cab - and the consoles can also be played with the VS. loom on two cabs :)

How is it compared to past work by Howard Chaykin? Did you ever read American Flagg!?

rtyper

Probably closer to Chaykins other tits'n'clits Black Kiss series i would have thought.
(which was banned in the UK, by the way)
Never rated him in his earlier 'Monarch Moonstalker' and  'Star Wars' stuff, but it looks like he's
found his niche market.
Quite liked his American Flagg series (first comics) and the 2 GN spinoffs, soft porn really.

Garage sale finds for $2. Ohh no!  Its a sealed nes cleaner. Maybe I can get 10K for it lol.

I ore that place up looking for the snes gameboy player and dokey kk ng game but I simply couldnt find them. Sigh.  Gave the guy my number incase he finds them. Guy is leaving thursday to Oklahoma as he is a professonal poker player.

Medic_wheat

Okay I just got back and am hitting th pool..I went back to that guys barn to try and find the SNES, donkey kong game and any NES stuff that simply HAD to be there and after 3 hours of looking sweating like a dog and remembering summer in Texas is HOT I went back to the old guy and asked if he was sure he had other old games...

He thinking it over then says.  I guess the guy from yesterday must have bought it all ...I had it all just sitting on the table....

I thanked him and left..once I got to a gas stations nd had a slushy I cooled down...

Then thought Fuuuuuuuuu.....kkkkkkkkkk!!!.........

I spent how long looking....I must have litterly bought the scraps the over guy left as what I found was shoved in a box full of VHS.

Yeah, the most retro gaming stuff that I've ever found at garage/yard sales has been basically a NES light gun at one sale, a NES controller at a different sale, 2-4 random cheapie NES games at a different sale, and a power cord-less Retro Twin (clone system that plays NES & SNES games) with Aerobiz and 1 SNES controller at another different sale.  I have looked at hundreds and hundreds of these sales and this is all that I have found in the last 4 years.  :(  They just aren't out 'in the wild' much anymore.  (Oh, I just remembered that I've seen a very few random common Atari games out there occasionally too, but since I don't have, care for, or keep up with Atari stuff, I usually just pass over them.)  Oddly enough, when my wife was out at a subdivision garage sale yesterday, she came across a place that had a large box of NES games for $0.50 each, and the owner said that she had a lot more (1000+ assorted video games) in the basement, so I may try to connect with her sometime this week and see what she has.

Mathius

Super Bonk 2 on SFC is pretty freakin' good! Nice boxed copy. Mine is loose but doesn't see too much love since the game is so long. It could have really used a password feature or something. Otherwise the game is nice and colorful and it's full of that Bonk charm.

I always seem to be a little to late...but I did find my first TG-16 and mor ethen half my games 3 years ago when I first moved to this city.....so there is that lol....

I hope you find some gems in that basement.  I'll be super jealous now just to help lol

I know that those mini LCD display thingies (I already forgot the real name lol) are (next to the shuttle) the most expensive NEC systems with the Supergrafx right behind all of that.

I don't think I would ever have the urge to buy one personally although they are neat....

at most I might just take my PC Engine Core link up a mini LCD monitor to it and play it on long road trips (when I am not driving lol) ...

It is what I use to do with those mini PS's that had the LCD monitor that would attach to it......wish I still had it because man it was a sweet setup ..............unfortnatly I see those systems w/the lcd monitor go for bigger and bigger bucks for reasonse that truly ecape my understanding.

I haven't built/bought anything Lego in years. This and the BTTF one tempt me a lot. If it is inexpensive i may just pick this up! Looks great!

FiftyQuid

$59.99

It's a solid kit just like the BTTF kit.  Everything is screen printed, no stickers.

I was buying LEGO Movie stuff for my son's birthday and saw this one.  Had to get it.  Oh, and the LEGO Movie kit is also excellent.  VERY imaginative builds.  The movie, in case you haven't seen it, is also fantastic.
I'm busy playing pinball, but I still drop by to visit.

jtucci31

Oh i loved that movie. Saw it twice actually lol. Having the logos screen printed sounds great, but $60 just a little high. But I am absolutely not ruling it out though. You should post a pic of the finished project here or somewhere.

FiftyQuid

These are limited edition runs.  The store would only sell me one.  Not that I wanted two, but there was a sign there and I'm sure it was official.  $60 for 500 pieces is standard fair for LEGO.
I'm busy playing pinball, but I still drop by to visit.

jtucci31

Oh wow, I guess I'm very out of touch with Legos! But it being a limited run worries me. Might have to track it down sooner than later, thanks!

YES! Like jtucci31, I've also seen it twice (luckily under the guise of taking my 6 yr old).

I recently found a Marvel Super Hero Lego short on Netflix and the lil and I loved it as well (though it's only about 20 minutes).
