Holy schnikes i won! But yea, for the record, I totally did retract my name from the hat. I dont want to seem like a whore since i have been hoping in quite a few wraffles on here lately... Its tough though, especially with all these kickass ones popping up everywhere! Super thankful for the winning draw, but I would however like it to be passed on to the next guy. I just recently got laid off from my job so ive been really busy trying to get some steady work so I have been neglectful of you guys and this awesome forum. Once I can get my feet on the ground and get some free time back, i have a raffle of my own up my sleeve.
So once again, super rad for being drawn and big ol thanks to Evil for hosting this waffle, but I am humbley bowing out of claiming my winnings. Good luck to the next guy!

Ok, so im temporarily out of these fellas, but fear not ive got a few more on the way... For those who PMed me, ill get back with you asap once they get here

Friggin' sweet man! Yea looks like i need to take count of ma loosie goosies and get in an order request. Mad props for all the hard work you put in to these, they look perfect!

Yea all graphics and gameplay mechanics aside, IMHO, TG16 and PCE ver of this game by far have the most kickass soundtrack of any other release

Quote from: Desh on 02/19/2015, 08:24 PMPics of these connectors?  I have been waiting for the new game tech region mod to be available so I can mod my new duo.  I have modded "the old way" which is fine... I'm just looking for a "cleaner" approach.
Let me find the damn things in my bucket-o-random components and ill shoot ya a pic.

I hate bulbs, pumps, and vacuums when it comes to desoldering... Some good ol' woven braid is the way to go. Or if you dont care about making a mess, a good direct hit with a can of compressed air will blast all that molten goo out of any nooks and cranies :) I know an old-skool dude that desolders with an antique syringe and needle, the ones with holes your fingers go thru

At one point a while back, a fella on here sent me a tempermental turbotap. I had all intentions of fixing the thing, but after having like 5 other projects of the back-burner, i decided to put that one off indefinitely. Lemme see if I can dig it up tonite and if I can find it, its yours for tinkering. Maybe a few bucks to cover shipping, but other than that, you could consider it a freebe

Congrats dood! Top 5 for sure, awesome game!

Quote from: Medic_wheat on 02/18/2015, 09:20 PMWhere they odd rules when deciding what games where imported to the U.S.?  Like Sega Saturn NA CEO announcing no 2D games 3D is the future.
I too would be interested in knowing this, especially since the PCEngine had such a massive library compared to our TG releases.

Q: Any cool prototype hardware that you were aware of that never saw the light of day? Maybe a light gun or a radical steering wheel?

Ninja is also a must for a 2player game to work well... or a preist will suffice in his place

Awwww, c'mon, no camo?  :-s

Excuse my quirky vocabulary... just to clarify, Turbokon did a fantastic job on my Turbo! In no way was his "smashing" of my Turbo a bad thing ;)

So I good while back I decided to region mod my system... well after 2 nights of hair pulling I decided to send it off to Turbokon where he smashed it up something good! (metaphorically speaking) Well after all my headaches had subsided and I got the Turbob back, I found these handy-dandy little wire connector thingys. Someone somewhere on here had mentioned them once before, but of course I didnt find any of this info until my project was finished. Well, back at the time I went ahead a scored a few packs of these things just in the event I take another swing at something similar.

Now I have decided to give you soon-to-be-modders a chance to simplify the work by using some of these radical jumper wires! I have 2 sets of these Im willing to donate. The only thing I ask is that you intend to immediately use these and not squirel them away, this is mainly because I want to know how well they work cuz if they suck im gonna toss the few I have left... But if they are the tits and work well, im gonna try to get some more on the cheap to supply folks around here with. It would make a difficult task alot less nerveracking and would cut the soldering job in half.  And at like 5$ shipped to your door, i think they would be well worth it not having to scream obscenities at your soldering station for over an hour. <-- Thats how I concentrate to do my best work :)

I definitely gained more blisters playing it on the NES thats for sure... mainly because I played the PCE ver on an emulator :(  and I just find it really hard to dedicate alot of time playing an emulator, its just not the same as real hardware!

Am I too late to hop on this gravy train? What an awesome schmup, next to Air Zonk I think its my next fav.

Quote from: guest on 02/19/2015, 11:00 AMI thought about this last night, and I don't really have a lot of Turbob in general, or sealed really at all.

But, I have something that I think should count for the extra entries!

The Vajra and the Quiz Econosaurus (both US titles!) are still sealed.  I have a JP Vajra on the way from Japan to finally play with, though I doubt it will hold up to the awesomeness of Vajra Ni.
Schweet, I would totally give you extra entries in my raffle for that awesomeness there!

What a kickass version of this game! Do you like the music from PCE or NES more? I prefer the NES music but the gameplay I feel is better on PCE. Now if I could only find me a complete copy of that for under a hundo...

I know for a fact that Xbox1 does not properly work when it on its side. Doesnt think a disc is in it until you lay it flat. Once it picks the disc up you can put it back on its side and itll work fine until you decide to change discs... Sh*tbox

Freakin' sweet man! That thing looks kick ass! Yea I bulit my own marque for a MAME cabinet a friend and I built a few summers back... way cheaper and much cooler to say you made it yourself. Get yourself a cheap 12v LED strip to use as the light source as those are super easy to tap an in-line switch with... Tell ya what, PM me and I may have a piece of a strip leftover from my built that ill toss you
#20
Damnit James, I try to be good... and then you just had to go and post up a sweet ass raffle like this, making it hard to excersize self control!
#21
Well poo, i was told that i have been whorish lately so i would like to retract my name from the list. I guess i never technically was on it, but just wanted to make it official. Good luck guys!
#22
Cant wait to see these come up for order! Mad props PCEFX!
#23
Guess ive been mostly jamming on the transd+dubd YsIV when ive got some good sit down time. Air zonk has been the go-to lately for some quick amusement/curseword abuse when time is of the essence

I know that every now and then my TG16/CD will throw a disc around sometimes when it goes through some of the longer load sections in SCD games. Its that damn spindle in the center not holding on to the disc which allows the disc to spin off camber and hit the platter on the underside of the lid. Havent noticed any scratches being caused from this happening, but I always cringe when I hear it
#25
Hmmmm gotta say:
1-Blazing Layzzzzerz
2-Air Zonk
3-LoT
4-Rtype
5-Download

Ouchies, my feelings are hurt Spen  . No worries tho, perhaps I have been a bit of a whore lately  :-k ... Ive got a raffle up my sleeve im holding out on til my birfday, a few recent finds id like to brag about, and maybe even an upload or 2 if I can ever finish them up. Maybe after my to-do list, I can re-establish myself as a non-whorish contributing member of the community!

Aw man, only a few posts away from being eligable...

Quote from: csgx1 on 02/03/2015, 10:56 PMInteresting combo idea; you got me curious...

Just tried test fitting and it won't work without serious modifications.  Height of the SGX expansion port is about a 1/2 inch higher than the Turbografx port making the insertion angle off. Maybe taking off the bottom of the SGX case might work.

If you somehow get the SGX to insert straight, you still would need to modify the port opening to fit.

Modding the RAU-30 to fit the Turbografx CD might be easier. That would be one funky looking system though.

Not quite sure about swapping cards will be got em' together. Doesnt appear to be enough clearance to get them in and out

Are you using Aracade Card PRO or Arcade Card DUO? You need PRO for the TG16/SCD setup
#30
Oh man! May I please sign up Mr. Sparkman?
#31
Oh sweet and succulent cardboard... How I will cherish thee... Given the oppertunity to join the ruckus of course! I am formally requesting entry into your drawing of glorious splendor, my good sir!

My most recent favorite comes from a brick&mortar store, not the Bay... but I could hardly hold back that laughter at the sight of an $80 price tag on a fatty PS2 with a broken faceplate. This was in a local pawn shop in my area.
#34
Yeah, damn that took me like an hour to make up my mind... actually had to boot up a couple just to make sure I was doing my boys justice

Got my Blodia and Outlive HUs in on saturday... They look great , thanx to Blue's flawless packaging and shipping, AND they play great too! Thanks again bro, hope to do future business with ya!

Quote from: Keith Courage on 01/25/2015, 04:43 PMI enjoy this game for what it is. Too bad no one has figured out how to make a patch that would enable a 2 player co-op mode.
X2 on that subject, this game was begging for a 2-player option! May have stood a fighting chance at being compared to a double dragon title

Shit, here in Ga. where I live, theres only buyers. No one knows squat about our beloved console near me. The only things TG related ive ever seen locally, i personally bought... and believe me, it wasnt much (loose Chewman, and a controller and that was over 2 years ago). I see local CL ads everyday where someone in my area wants to trade a bunch of uber-common Nintendoo stuff for Turbobs and/or 3DO/CDi stuff. Hell, i even put up a duplicate loose Keith for 5$ on CL and it was up for weeks and no one even inquired about it. Ended up just giving it to a friend
#39
Oh noooooo! found a pretty nice bundle on the Bay, 3 new games and a new controller, but its console only... but for 170$ with free shipping, its not bad at all. Cheapest CIB console thats live is right at about 200

X2 on this wanted thread... Im hoping OP already found himself a boxed PCFX and other goodies to go with it, now its my turn! Same as original title says, looking for the console with box and some games. Let me know whats out there!
#41
Ive actually been wanting to get myself and the lady into some d&d or some kind of pen/paper rpg. Cant decide on a good one thats not too ridiculous to learn so itll be easier for the wife. Any suggestions? Maybe an early d&d revision? I know d&d v5 is very different than the last ones.
Sorry to thread jack ya there Menegx, ill help u keep an eye out for those titles. PS, be prepared to pay out the wazoo for that copy of M&M3. Seems to be going the way of Beyond Shadowgate

Quote from: Sarumaru on 01/14/2015, 02:49 PMAnd what could possible come after that? THE PRICE OF 99.99 - still waiting for hugs.
X2 on the hugs! We got it figured out im pretty sure ;)

I studied anceint hierogliphics while I was getting my PhD at Harvard... pretty sure the lower portion of the sign is in sandscrit... Looks to read "Now Only" and I would assume the rest of it, i.e. the part we cant see, prolly is advertising a price drop.

Quote from: guest on 01/14/2015, 01:35 PMDid you get this from Amazon? I've been meaning to buy one because they're so damn cheap, and I actually like Sonic Spike. Volleyball games, when done well, can be really fun!
Nah, got it in a lot off Feebay with a loose copy of Air zonk. I have seen that cheap price on it in amazon tho, what a deal!
#45
I dont recall the ship looking so fallic in the game :D
But seriously, raffle em together

Woot! grats Duo_R! Cant wait to see you rip in to that thing like a kid on Chrstimas day!

***  <-- let me fix that for you! :P

You gain points for using your manly fingur nails to open the shrink wrap, and for discarding the shrink wrap, and for introducing creases to the box flap...

but you lose points because it appears that you forgot to eat cheetos prior to opening the game.

Your video earns: 3.5 turbochips on the bucci scale[/quote]
Thanks Null! I finally got it right this time, and ill have to remember the cheetos advise for next go around

Sooooo I know Im long overdue for this but better late than never I always say! I have officially become a man! WHEW-HOOOO  ! Scored a sealed copy of Sonic Spike on the cheap and figured what the hell, lets open er' up!
Im pretty camera shy, so unfortunatly, yall wont be graced with my sexy handsomness  8)
I know its my first, but hopefully not the last... Its been so long since I opened cardboard packaging like this, I felt a bit rusty doing so. I just need a little more practice. Let the hating begin!

Scored some good loose HUs recently for next to nothing and its really bothering me to have these great titles and have them as my only loose HUs.

As for Air Zonk, im definatly looking for a manual. I know it didnt get a jewel case but either a spine decal or a premade case would be cool so I dont have to cannabalize one of my own. Not to sure about the cardboard box, not dying to have it but if the price were right I would consider it.

As for Neutopia and Chew; case and manual is what im looking for but same case when it comes to the cardboard
